          He can’t help but look at her in disbelief. He knew she meant well, but her words didn’t make him feel better. He was the chosen one. He was supposed to save everyone. Wasn’t he? Yet it seemed all he did was cause people to get hurt - or killed. Three times now he had stood and watched as people he cared about were murdered in front of him. Cedric. Sirius. Now Dumbledore was gone. He had done nothing to stop it. Some savior of the wizarding world he was. He shook his head, turning his gaze away from her.  “Clearly I can’t save anyone.”  Be he had to. Dumbledore had trusted him, now Harry had to finish what he started. He realized that this was most likely going to be one of the last times he saw the professor. He wasn’t coming back next year. With the old headmaster gone things were going to get worse fast.

          she was just doing the finishing touches on neville when she saw her walk in.  looking worse for wear, molly can imagine what has occurred to make her look that way.  ❛ alright, off you go neville.  try not to get into too much trouble. ❜  she murmurs, sending him on his way before she looks to angie.  ❛ who were they after this time ? ❜

          “Humans aren’t the only ones.”  The reaper tilts her head, a wry smirk on her lips as she looked over at her double. She was right. People were predictable, even in death it was all very monotonous. But in her experience that wasn’t just limited to humans. The whole world seemed predictable, people doing the same things, making the same mistake. History repeating itself over and over. Cliches were cliches because they were true. It was a pretty negative outlook on things, but it made those truly surprising moments - like meeting your ancient, vampire doppelganger - much more interesting.

          “But it’s not fair!”  It’s only after the words are out of his mouth does he realize how childish they sound. But that doesn’t make them any less true. Sirius had only just gotten his life back, and now he was gone. And what about his parents - they had been so young. And Cedric, who would never even get to finish Hogwarts.  All his fault.  It wasn’t fair, and it hurt. It hurt so much. How many more people would die before this was all over? He didn’t know if he could handle anymore. With a exhale, his whole body seems to slump forward where he sat, as if all the energy left him at once. Hands that had clenched into fists loosened, and he stared down at them.  “Does it get easier?”
