The Biggest and Greatest Pyro Show on Earth Moves to SM City Clark

The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) is a tradition at the SM Mall of Asia that has brought endless enjoyment to millions of Filipinos each year. For the past 9 years, the pyrotechnics have always complied with the international standards for environmental safety, at par with countries like Canada, Australia, Hongkong and famous theme parks around the world.

In full support of the ongoing Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program of the DENR, SM Supermalls will move the 10th PIPC from SM Mall of Asia to SM City Clark in Angeles City, Pampanga starting on February 23 to March 30, 2019. 

The Philippine International Pyromusical Competition’s annual program has 10 competing countries who take on a battle of breath taking fireworks performances amid symphony of sounds.

On the opening day, February 23, Philippines’ very own Platinum Fireworks Inc. will take the sky to open the festivity together with an amazing drone exhibition show that will surely surprise everyone. As the first contender, CBF Pyrotechnics from Belgium will present their pyrotechnic delights.

On March 2, Germany’s 9th PIPC champs “Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke” and Portugal’s “Pirotecnia Minhota” will treat the crowd with their tradition and mastery of skills in the sky.

On March 9, the Pampanga skyline will witness France’s “Brezac Artifices” followed by a burst of vibrant colors by Finland’s 0y Pyroman.

Italy’s very own “Viviano S.R.L.” and last year’s champion, United Kingdom’s “Pyrotex Fireworx” will battle it out on March 16. 

Canada’s turn to paint the night sky bursting with colors on March 23 with their very own “Fireworks Spectaculars” and China’s Polaris Fireworks will surely stun the crowds.

To cap off the competition and close a decade of giving the best pyromusical exhibition in the Philippines, March 30 promises the most spectacular display of colors and surprises with Poland’s Surex Firma Rodzinna and the Philippines’ own Platinum Fireworks Inc. in a grand finale like no other.

The annual PIPC Photo Contest will also highlight entries from amateur and professional photographers wherein winners will receive special prizes from PIPC‘S partners and sponsors.

Tlckets to the most-awaited 10th PIPC are available at Www.pyrophilippines.com or through SM Tickets, SM Cinemas, SM Mall of Asia ticket booths starting February .13, and at SM City Clark ticket booths starting February 14, ranging from the Patron wilth dinner at P1,800, VIP at P600, Gold at P350 and Silver at P120. Ticket prices will be different on the Closing day of 10th PIPC. Ticket coupons will be available for purchase in Metrodeal starting February 13, 2019,

For the past 8 years, COOK Magazine has been holding an annual thanksgiving party for its advertisers, columnists and friends. This year’s celebration, “Slumber Ball A High Gloss Pajama Party", was conceptualized by the COOK team to provide our guests with a relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere. The theme reflects the working env1ronment at COOK laid-back, filled with dreamy food and recipes, and lots of fun and laughter. While publishing a monthly magazine isn’t a walk in the park. 18 years in the industry is proof that when you do what you love, it won’t ever feel like work.

This yearly celebration is an opportunity to personally thank all of our advertisers for their continued support of COOK through the years. It also gives the COOK team a chance to Introduce ourselves, along with our columnists and contributors -everyone involved in making COOK Magazine what it is. As the longest running and only monthly culinary magazine in the country today, We’v e outlasted the trends, the ups and downs, even the shlft to other platforms. We would like to thank House Manila, for again providing us with an awesome venue. COOK’S very own Editor-in-chief, Chef Dino Datu has prepared something for our guests, courtesy of Canadian Beef. We would also like to thank our caterers, our friends from Chefwix Catering who prepared a spread of Buttered Vegetables, Creamy Pesto Chicken and Indonesian Pork BBQ Spareribs. Cowboy Grill prepared some Pork Sisig, Beef Caldereta Adobo, Chicken Teriyaki, Steamed Veggies and Coffee Jelly for dessert Kitchen Seventy-One owned by Chef Jhic De Guzman Dimagiba prepared Beef Caldereta, Thai Grilled Porkchop, Cajun Chicken and Baked Mac. Pedro ‘N Coi presents their specialty Filipino dishes like Pansit, Pakbet, Sisig, Bistek, Roast Chicken and their famous Pinoy street food, Tunog Kalye (fish ball). Since no celebration is complete without lechon, no less than the famous crispy lechon from Lydia’s Lechon is present. For sweet endings, there’s the Cheese Bar, Inutak, Assorted Kakanin, Pastillas Pops, Suman Cake, Pastillas Cake and Latik Fondue served by Aging’s Food Delight and delectable desserts from Sweetilicious Homemade Goodies by Chef Jojo Cuesta-Javier. Our friends generously provided us drinks too! Fill your glasses with drinks from: Lick Iced Tea, Coffee from the llly booth, Gato Negro Wines and the Open Bar of House Manila.

Lucky guests took home major prizes such as the Bosch Fully Automatic Espresso Machine, Whirlpool Refrigerator, Bosch Mum Kitchen Machine (All in one food processor and mixer), Bosch Universal Slicer, Tecnogas Oven, and two sets of a seven piece induction cookware from Masflex. Other prizes raffled off included hotel accommodations, round trip ticket, gift certificates for buffets and spas, water filter, skin care products, and a whole lot more.

As per tradition, guests wearing the most dazzling sleepwear had a fashion parade with a prize awarded to the one with the best outfit. Mayda Chua provided the night's entertainment by serenading the crowd. The event was hosted Choi Soriano and COOK Magazine's Advertising Manager Marlon Aldenese.
