it’s been a minute, but someone explain to me why i was tearing up at professor digory kirke’s reaction when susan mentions that lucy found narnia in the wardrobe?? it’s literally two in the morning and i’m rewatching tltwatw for the 50th time, and this moment has me close to sobbing. the utter surprise and hurt and hope is captured so brilliantly; I just really want to see what digory and polly had to go through thinking they could never return to narnia only for digory to later find out that his wardrobe upstairs was a doorway back. gahhh this film!!

i'm tearing up a little bit. this. THIS. when I visualize the beauty and the joy of Narnia, this is the perfect soundtrack. I can feel the reverberations of Lucy's faith ("remember what it felt like to believe?"), the silent flutter of Edmund's peace in knowing forgiveness ("remember when the magic was a mystery?"), and even the energy of Peter's brash willingness to fight for all things good and pure and forever on Aslan's side ("remember running wild and living free?"). Even the line, "now all the fuss is just // faith without the rush" fits Susan so perfectly. Loving this band to begin with was a big plus.
