Really excited to receive my copy of the Flash Forward 2013 book of emerging photographers! It features a beautiful range of work from the US, Canada, and the UK and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. Congrats @matteich @ilonaaszwarc @bryanschutmaat to name a few! #flashforward2013

I had the opportunity, while sooting the Sites of Execution series to go on a private tour and photograph the closed old Ramsey County Jail in St. Paul, Minnesota. The building has been inactive for a decade, but was originally built in 1979. Images above include multiple cells, official control stations, common space, and a visitation area. It is connected to the courthouse basement which was where I was shooting the former execution site. Ironically, how to reuse this old jail is currently up for debate, keeping to the theme I love of the reuse of a space especially within correctional facilities. Eager to see what they come up with especially if it isn't a condominium or mall!

My most recent findings are mainly for skincare! First I am washing my face with Miner's Mud Soap from Prospector Company then using this Black Mask from Boscia (additionally this issue of Gentlewoman is amazing as is this vintage necklace!)  

I am so pleased to announce that I have been selected as a Finalist for a Fine Art series in the New York Photo Awards. The work selected was the Sites of Execution series. I am filled with gratitude, and eager to meet the other finalists at the opening in January in Brooklyn. Thank you New York Photo Awards! One of the images from the series is featured below, that particular image is of the site of the final execution in Alaska, which is now the State Office Department.
