Boscia Baby Soft Foot Peel , $26
My feet have been drier than the Sahara desert since we got back from Arizona, no matter how often I slather it with foot cream every night Iβve heard about this foot peel from Justinβs mom and she said it worked wonders for her- so I decided to give it a shot. It actually took me a few weeks after my purchase to finally try it on as it requires to be left on for up to 90 minutes, with limited mobility in the process. After taking a shower, I put these booties on and found a 90-minute movie to watch on Netflix. I should have made sure to have my wine and snacks within armβs reach as walking proved to be difficult (go figure!). 90 minutes later, I washed my feet with warm water and pat-dried. I waited for the peeling to commence, which the package said would take about 5-10 days.
During the first three days, the peeling did not start yet but I felt extreme dryness on my feet and my fingertips (assuming itβs because it touched my fingertips while I was situating the booties). I refrained from applying foot cream as I would like to see how well this product works on its own- but I felt miserable in the next few days that followed. My feet were SO dry and crackly (as my boyfriend described it, verbatim) and I can tell the peeling was about to start. When it did, I was shredding (skin- ew) everywhere like a snake and I was definitely leaving DNA trails at home, at work, and at the gym. I thought the peeling process would be painful but thankfully it wasnβt- only it was really gross and it was so hard to resist not picking it out.
On the 7th day, itβs still peeling albeit not as much, and I can definitely feel parts of my feet being extremely soft, and I was looking forward to seeing what the heels would feel like after all is said and done.
The whole peeling/recovery process took about 11 days. Right now I can attest that yes, my feet is dramatically soft like a babyβs feet, and am now in the process of determining how long the softness will last, as it is officially sandals/flip-flops season and I intend to expose my feet as much as I could.
For the hefty price tag and 11 days (maybe itβll be shorter and more bearable the next time around?), I am still on the fence whether Iβd repurchase this product. This is definitely not something you would use regularly as it is very drying; but if the softness lasts me a reasonable amount (perhaps up to 3 months, without using anything else), it might just be worth it.
