I know that I probably see things that don’t exist, but what Tyrell does in this scene seems to me some kind of a signal that he makes for Elliot, maybe to say ‘let’s pretend that we don’t know each other’ or something like that… as I said probably it means nothing but…maybe? The point is that I firmly believe that the two somehow knew each other before, because otherwise I can’t explain myself the reason why Tyrell says this after having seen him once for 5 seconds:

or why he has this reaction after Elliot refuse his offer, I mean, he was literally about to start crying

We know for sure that Tyrell had interactions with Elliot’s third alter, particularly in the Red Wheelbarrow scene, which had a very profound impact on Elliot (so much as to call phase 2 and his journal with the name of the poem that Tyrell told him). I think we can all agree that this was neither our Elliot nor Mr. Robot (since in the arcade scene he explicitly says he doesn’t remember what they talked about at the time). I think that the Elliot with whom Tyrell fell in love is the third alter. Many times during the series Tyrell declares to be in love with Elliot, but if we think about it we haven’t seen many scenes of the two together that can make us understand why he is in love. That’s why I think that what made him fall in love is the Elliot that only he has known. Every time the two have interactions Tyrell is very touchy, and for a person who hates physical contact, Elliot doesn’t had problem whenever Tyrell touched him, almost as if it was a ‘normal’ or ‘already happened’ thing. An example:

From here we can move on to this moment. In the arcade scene at the exact moment Tyrell hug Mr. Robot, for few seconds he leaves and ‘Elliot’ appears.

As if the contact and the intimacy with Tyrell made that part of Elliot appear. When I first saw this moment I thought that he was our Elliot, but it’s impossible since he doesn’t have the slightest memory of what happened that night. Another moment that comes to my mind of Tyrell that ‘changes Elliot’s personality’ is this:

As if at the exact moment when Mr. Robot is about to hurt Tyrell, a part of Elliot stopped him from doing it. And let’s not forget that Tyrell in the first season dream scene is the only one who holds the key and doesn’t give it back to Elliot (as Darlene and Angela do).

I think Tyrell is the key to the third alter, the real Elliot. There’s no doubt that the third alter is the real Elliot. The proof comes from Angela when, in the dream scene, she explicitly tells him that he is not the real Elliot and that he was born only a month ago.   And then there’s this:

I have NO IDEA what this could possibly means. But what is certain is that Tyrell is a really important person for Elliot.
