Fast forward to 2 months later and I sign up for a new gym. The gym is huge and has many different sides but one day, I ended up bypassing her. We clearly remembered each other. She’s a jokester so she’d just tease me every time she saw me even though I lowkey hated her lol. We eventually became cordial though. Funniest part is that we’ve both dated other people but neither of us had ever been in an actual relationship because we were both content with life. We both joked that we were content staying single to 100. BUT we were on the treadmill one day and her corny ass says, “I’m not asking you on a date but I think you should sit at a table with me for an hour at a restaurant”. And that was it. That’s my baby. It’s a lot more to the story but that’s the gist.

My best advice is to either live in or visit very queer friendly cities, even internationally and make yourself socially available to the women around you. And please be open to different kinds of women; don’t be stuck on a “type”. The women I were typically attracted to before her were extremely femme, extroverted and dainty. Then here comes this beautiful, nerdy, laidback, masc woman who has a completely different ethnic background/culture than mine and I fell hard as hell.

And I know some people luck up and meet amazing people on dating sites but I wouldn’t suggest that for everyone. I haven’t personally been on them but my friends make it sound horrible 😩 so I would suggest in-person activities even if you’re by yourself.
