Hello everyone! For today’s prompt I wanted to share this absolutely stunning portrait of Emerie done by the incredible @ zolyna_ and commissioned by me!

This piece shows Emerie fully decked out in her Valkyrie gear, which is something I really hope we get to see in the future books! Her strength and determination makes her such a strong warrior and I hope we get to see her slay some enemies on the battlefield😌

I think it’s possible Emerie’s wings can be healed, especially when there are people like Nuan and Thesan who have the skills and abilities to do amazing things.

I could see Emerie being the first to try some kind of prototype or prosthetic or surgery or potion.

She tells the rest of the Illyrian girls and women that their wings can be healed when they look up one day and see her flying over Illyria as bold and bright as the sun in the wind.

Concluding my Valkyrie series by the ever so kind and talented @/carasalexandra with Emerie for todays @emerieweekofficial prompt.

This absolutely breathtaking artwork of Emerie is what I hope to see become canon one day, as I theorize that Emerie, along with her found sisters, will play a crucial role in the future of the series as Valkyrie.

In the words of the Gwyn, there's more to come when it comes to their story. 

Cara and I started this series back in February, and have shared each of the Valkyrie during their respected appreciation week. I seriously can't thank her enough for getting on board with this concept, each piece has blown me away, as she made each unique to each of the characters!

I'm so happy to finally share Emerie during her week of appreciation, she deserves to shine!

It's the same old immortals oppressing humans - which she writes, at best, callously

She thinks subjugation is an appropriate state of being/punishment for being "lesser"

When someone who isn't her faves rebels against that she paints them anything from ignorant to evil

Her writing, just like her, is racist, misogynistic, ableist and homophobic

But it's also just not good?? Like her stealing and borrowing names and concepts from numerous religions and myths only to use them completely inaccurately and inappropriately

Lots of people praise her foreshadowing but almost all of that comes from generic phrases or imagery and not the context of the mythology she has borrowed

Also you could predict 10 different scenarios justified by the text and still not land on the boring and underwhelming outcome she will deliver

Characters lack consistent characterisation and get gutted and stuffed depending on what she wants them to be book by book

Whole major characters go entire series without names and her worldbuilding is underdeveloped at best and plain lazy at worst

She has also been called out for "borrowing" heavily from other books and media

As well as spearheaded the normalisation and romanticisation of smut and abuse in romance marketed towards teens

It's actually kind of Trumpy what SJM has both Feyre and Rhys do.

Like....I used to say that Rhys has been written into a corner bc IF he apologizes, he admits he had another option. But all of his arguments are that he did the only thing he could possibly do so how can he apologize for saving lives? Tamlin and Nesta apologizing is treated like an admission of guilt more than an attempt at amends.

But it kind reminds me of Trump- double and triple down on fuck ups- Rhys and Feyre both are supposed to be faultless so they can not and will not apologize. Feyre blocks out criticism and Rhys reminds everyone that he's stronger than anyone else. Your criticism is only as valid as your ability to do something about it.
