A much needed adventure in the hills.

I have a love/hate relationship with this body of mine. Constantly at war with it, demanding performance of it that it no longer wants to give. Expecting healing from it when it no longer wants to heal. Asking it to bear with me for a few more miles or a few more reps. It carries damage from the Marine Corps and damage from my stubbornness in accepting the seriousness of my injuries. I've been good to it but I've also treated it so badly and I feel like I'm constantly asking it for forgiveness. Do you feel like you are a part of your body or like you are at odds with it, trying to be friends with someone you have history with but have grown apart from?
