We just finished our Mustang coin for the USS Nimitz. This coin features a 3D aspect that’s new for our coins, which looks great on the horses head. This coin is unique as its a cutout and also bottle opener, hopefully to be used in the future for some fun times.

Mondays are always full of surprises and today comes with a bit of a surprise with coins. We changed a good portion of the front of the Lucid Dreaming Totem to better incorporate some of the feedback we have received on the main concept of the coin. The tree in the background shows that there is growth as well as strength in becoming more lucid. The individual mediating shows the trial that we must go through in order to reach that growth through opening up our minds eye. We hope that you enjoy the changes as we have, and soon will start to produce the coin in our manufacture.

Today we are in our final stages for the design process of our USS Nimitz (CVN 68) Mustang Association coin. We provided our clients with a few different color options to see what best suits their needs. We also changed up aspects of our art to better fit what best represents their organization.

The design for the USS Nimitz coin is now complete. Our clients are happy and ready for production. The coin features a 3D design with extruded stars around the edges. The aircraft on the back of the coin lay out on the backside of the stars from the front of the coin. Wonderful deep blue colors make the coin stand out, with a fine gold around the edges. The rope on the back side of the coin represent the hard working enlisted that make the ship what it is, and even the supply corps is represented in some hidden ways on the coin.

As we near our completion of the design process for the USS Nimitz command challenge, we wanted to describe some of the processes that we went through with our client. Often when it comes time to design a custom challenge coin we run into a number of issues in the creative process. We aim and providing the best design possible, but it also takes a lot of creative conversations with the client, and that’s what we did with this coin. We started by providing our client with a number of different options and after some tweeking and constant feedback we were able to make a design that will turn into a great coin. This coin also has some unique features such as the stars that extrude from the outside of the rounded edge of the coin. This turns the coin into a great gift and something to represent the old logo of the Nimitz, bringing it into the modern era.
