Glow in the Dark Cave

Photographer Joseph Michael’s project titled Luminosity reveals the beauty of a species of glow-worm endemic to New Zealand’s North Island. Captured with a Nikon D810 and a long-exposure method, Michael was able to photograph the limestone cave’s beauty. The results are viewed as a majestic, neon starry night indoors.

An ear-shattering screech rang out across the countryside, rousing hundreds of birds from their tree-top perches.

There was no fear in the screech, only indignation and frustration as vine-like tentacles grasped at any part of the young dragon they could find purchase on. One of Shazar’s wings remained unbound and she thrashed violently against her attacker with it, pausing only to spit small plumes of flame that were becoming less impressive by the moment. Soon she wouldn’t have any flame left in her, and biting had gotten her into this mess.

Maybe it was time to get a little scared. She shrieked again, disturbing the still-unsettled birds once more.

Drake: 4 legs, flightless

Wyrms: long snake like body with no appendages, can also appear as a traditional Chinese dragon with 4. Legs and no wings yet can fly

Amphithere: 0 legs 2 wings, can be feathered

Lindwurms: 2 legs, 0 wings, long body

Luck dragon: 4 legs, no wings, can fly, long body, furry with dog like face

Komodo dragon: 4 legs, no wings, real

Bearded dragon: 4 legs, 0 wings, often kept as pets
