raerns asked: How does Lucy feel about the races of the Alliance?
I thiiiink I talked about that a long time ago, but since Lucy has developed quite a lot from that, itâs better to address it again.
Ok so - in general, Lucy doesnât discriminate between races during the Drustvar questline, what I blame more on programming than on her real personality, because she also calls Kul Tirans mainlander. But Iâd like to think that Lucy, in general, is very open to other races because she is extroverted and doesnât share the animosity many Kul Tirans have towards the Alliance. Iâd group them into two categories, the races she couldâve known from before Kul Tiras seceded and after.
Naturally, with humans, she is totally ok with, no matter their origin. Itâs what she knows. I think that she also wouldnât have any negative thoughts about Dwarves or gnomes, if anything, really appreciate their knowledge when it comes to blacksmithing and technology. I personally headcanon that the mining business was optimised thanks to their help, so sheâd naturally be very positive towards them. She never had much contact to High Elves, so sheâs more or less positive to neutral too, but she is very wary of the Void Elves.Â
Night elves, Draenei and Worgen are something a lot more interesting. Theyâre ... different from what she has known, and even if she met High Elves before, Night Elves are entirely different. Their culture and focus on druidism does remind her of the Thornspeakers, which is why she is a little wary - she trusts the Thornspeakers in any case though -, and that especially in regards to the Worgen and learning how the were created. With the Worgen, there is the additional cultural closeness, as Kul Tirans came from Gilnean seafarers, Draenei are absolutely fascinating, even though she doesnât share their convictions and belief in the Light. And she remembers that they also fought in Drustvar during the Horde assault. And Pandaren... letâs say, they know how to cook, and Lucy likes to eat. Well, there arenât many coming to Drustvar, but who canât not love them?
So all in all, her opinion on the different races is always very open. As in âevery friend of Drustvar is a friend of mine (to various degreesâ. The Alliance as an organisation and different leaders... would be different.

weavefate asked:Â Offers Lucy a pretty daisy
Lucy is clearly caught by surprise when Rosie hands her the dainty little flower, She blinks, accepting it between her dainty fingers and laying it on her palm to get a proper look at it. Maybe she could later on press it in a book, so it wouldnât wilt away.
âThank you - itâs very beautiful.â

lil update: iâm nearly done with the multimuse. i have some rl stuff going on so writing is a great distraction lol. as promised tho, i will post all the remaining drafts here on this blog, if there are any new (youâll never know) iâll move them over.Â
meaning, iâll be on this blog some time now, so if you guys wanna plan something weâll move over, iâm all game lol.
ok but? Adriana Ugarte as Lucy? Maybe?
Kirin Tor ambassador: "The orcs are not our primary concern here. How many times must I repeat myself? King Terenas, you must heed my warning. This plague that has gripped the northlands could have dire ramifications." Unknown ambassador: "Plague? You wizards are just being paranoid!" Unknown ambassador: "Let's keep all this in perspective. Even if this plague does pose a threat to us, what are you proposing that we do?" Kirin Tor ambassador: "It is simple. As I have said, the Kirin Tor are already prepared to place the villages under 'strict' quarantine." Terenas: "I will NOT institute quarantine without proof of your claims, ambassador. The people of Lordaeron have suffered enough without becoming prisoners in their own lands."
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002)
@windrunnerrs I enjoyed the book while reading it, yet the more I stopped to think about it the more I found it to be flawed. I don't agree with everything makani criticized, but for the most part I think it's right. Sira is whatever, Maiev is ooc, the second scene with Tyrande is pretty bad. Jaina's personality reverted, but Idk how fair it is to blame Roux for that when she seems to be doing that for a while.
Anduin wasnât a problem for me tho bc I feel whatâs going on makes sense with what heâs been through, the suggestion of external influence but also just the pressure heâs under with everything (and that things still weigh heavily on him even when he complies, like the Turalyon Alleria stuff). For Turalyon and Alleria, I didnât feel like it was reverting their characters to BtDP at all tho
at the same time, I took a lot of issue with Nathanos and Sylv because even in BFA material they had been portrayed differently. I liked Talanjiâs part a lot, but Zekhan Idc at all. I think my main problem was the plot not progressing and a lot being kinda abandoned halfway through the book.
As for Fairshaw, I could see it coming from that one mission theyâre both in, but at the same time, I think the book does a poor job of developing it from there. I didnât like lorthaly either, and I hate lorâthemarâs character as written by roux, but specially in relation to Thaly I hate it.
ANYWAYS SORRY FOR THE RANT I JUST LIKE DISCUSSING THIS STUFF AKSJDNFKASNDF
NO WORRIES LMAO your insight is always appreciated and i love your opinions on that. (mostly bc we agree :â) but also bc itâs rooted in facts and you know your stuff!)
yeah like??? i have a similar impression reading the critiques, while first reaction was glowing and positive, in comparison to the other books people are ... a lot more negative? itâs like the second kingsman film for me, when i watched it at the cinema i LOVED it, but as time passed i came to realise that i donât really like it. itâs a bit like your weird uncle: you love him, but you donât like him.Â
itâs super hard to say but i just donât care about the undead night elves bc theyâre all so... bland. although i really had to laugh at her comparison of sira diving in a 1v4 teamfight bc it felt exactly like that in general. the few passages iâve read with maiev made me ??????? bc thatâs not the maiev we know.Â
I really donât know what her problem with Anduin was, tho. Jainaâs arc has been disappointing since after the battle of dazarâalor with no real development - not saying she has to stay the mad warrior queen, but switching from âBEWARE, BEWARE OF MEâ to âyou know itâs just sylvanas, the horde isnât that bad uwu we must let them mourn uwu~â in an instant (nobody @ me, because thatâs the hill iâm willing to die on and iâm tired of discussing it) - but thatâs the thing, just like you said - you canât fault roux for that, because theyâve did that before her and already in the gameÂ
zekhan slowly feels like rhonin, at least thatâs what quite a few people say. he started as a meme and now heâs this prominent character whoâs just too good and perfect and- urgh. never got the obsession with him either.
all in all itâs also super hard to judge, because we donât know how much blizzard tells her to do; if she just gets an overall plot and she had to fill in the blanks herself, if she gets an extensive briefing about who the characters are, what direction theyâre supposed to go and what their personalities are supposed to be.Â

iâm reading makaniâs analysis of shadows rising and yeah. yeah maybe iâm right not to touch another warcraft book lol
i wasnât sold on fairshaw for the same reason i wasnât into lorâthalyssra - it just seemed so... farfetched and there for no other reason than to ship characters that had two seconds of interaction. so inorganic and forced. lorâthalyssra made me physically cringe several times during that short story and fairshaw just is like to... idk appease the gays? even flynn with taelia wouldâve made more sense and i'm not into that pair either.Â
idk i just wish theyâd hire one good writer who knows their lore (OR PLAYED THE GAME) before joining a project and isnât one of those âhire me and i write a book for your franchiseâ authors, who, and iâve read many books like that, most of the time just arenât good writers - be it writing a good and complex character or on the technical side. (i know for at least wow they give people the plot overview) - i might still disagree with the characterisation but at least make it CONSISTENT in book(s) and the game.
i have not yet read shadows rising and iâm not sure if i will either (considering iâve been burned too often by warcraft books) but the reaction seems to be so?? positive so iâm more than inclined to do so
tfw no lucy tho :/
bonjour.
quick question for everyone, but especially mm peeps (considering i follow more mm here than on my other blog) - how important are direct verse descriptions? i really donât know yet how i can add verses to the muse pages as i want to make it all accessible on desktop AND mobile, but i also not yet want to write out a long user unfriendly verse page if nobody... actually reads it or cares for it. i have a feeling that almost no one looks at a verse page and goes âthis au sounds cool, maybe we should write in that for a changeâ, but at the same time - i want to make all my muses the most accessible for like any historical au or modern au.
idk idk. itâs complicated
lucy meeting zoen: wow this is so gay, bards play tainted love
Bah. We all know orcs aren't allowed to crossbreed with humans, so any hope of Thrall being paired with Jaina is useless. Only elves can crossbreed with humans.
I- ok.
I guess this refers to me linking that joke thread by Madeleine Roux which also mentions the Thrall/Jaina ship?
While there havenât been any confirmed crossbreeds for humans beyond elven ones, Iâd just really like to know where you get the idea of âa ship is only valid when there can be babiesâ from? And also allowed? Like.
Like.Â
Right.
Thatâs blatant Thrallâs son named Idiot erasure.
(Maybe thatâs obvious sarcasm I donât get. I hope itâs obvious sarcasm I donât get.)

this alone makes roux a better writer than christie golden could ever hope to be
me: makes a scarlet renegade who is also lesbian me: heh. renegayde
I fully moved Lucy there now (I will follow and give out links when all of the muses are done), so all in all, youâll get Lucy, Vanora (Blood Elf Ranger Lord. Annoyed. Conservative. You are already dead) and Carys (The renegade, paladin, really tries to follow the lightâs teachings. inspired by my time in a catholic all-girls school). Not sure if I reply to drafts on here or just move them with me, but this account is now mostly closed for business and shitposting/updates.Â
Iâm still considering a night elf (ether moon priestess or druid of the moon) and void elf astromancer, but iâm not sure if i add them in the beginning. So anyway: Iâm kinda excited lol
