In the gentle lull of the palace at night there was seldom usually any noise besides the faint steps of the guards patrolling the corridors or the faint moans and whimpers of the royals behind closed doors as they were bred by their spouses, a duty rather than a pleasure their partners sought at night.

Tonight however as the guards patrolled through the halls, faint primal groans and screams could be heard through the doors, a sound the guards knew to ignore as it had been announced that the young prince Lukas had gone into labour at long last.

The patrolling guards gave a nod to the stationary guards who stood outside the prince’s door. Stoic as they heard the young prince scream and whimper, knowing the young royal was merely doing his duty. They had stood guard here many a time previously, hearing the sound of the prince’s delicate moans as his lord husband, a brutish warrior had pounded into him roughly.

They knew, the prince’s moans either pained or full of pleasure, was always a matter of duty.

Inside the room, there was a bustle of activity as doctors and attendants surrounded the bed, all eyes on the prince in the centre of the room. Prince Lukas lay at the very centre of the room, his naked form trembling violently in pain as he groaned through each contraction. His legs held open and spread wide by 2 attendants, his wrists pined above his head and tied to the headboard to avoid inconveniencing the doctors work who was kneeled between the prince’s legs, hands gently cupping at the prince’s bulging hole.

“I-I can’t do this… I can’t aaahhh it’s coming, it’s coming please!” The prince’s pleas devolved into screams as he pushed.

“ARGHHHH NOOOO PLEASE!!!” the prince let out a mighty scream as he pushed, his frame shuddering in effort.

The doctor gently hummed once the contraction had passed, observing as the prince gasped and sobbed on the bed, his spread thighs which were being restrained by his attendant’s hands, trembling in effort.

“Very good my prince, you’re crowning now a few more pushes and the babe will be here soon.” The doctor encouraged as the prince let out a dazed and pained noise of assent, head collapsing back on the bed as he awaited the next contraction.

Despite it soothing the prince, the doctor gave a subtle glance at the attendants as they eyed at the prince’s hole, bulging and red as the baby’s head forcefully kept it spread open. The doctors hand gently pressing at the prince’s perineum to staunch any inevitable tears.

Despite his status prince Lukas was delicate of frame and somewhat meek, the doctor worried the prince’s body wouldn’t be able to cope once the shoulders passed. But alas there was little they could do.

The next contraction came suddenly, the prince’s frame scrunching in pain as he let out a primal scream as he pushed.

“ARGHHH GOD IT’S BURNING!!” The doctor ignored the prince’s cries as he encouraged the prince to push.

“Keep pushing my prince, don’t stop.”

“PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ARGHHHH!!”

the prince’s body convulsed as the shoulders began to pass, the attendants suddenly pulling the prince’s legs back even wider.

There was so much happening at once, then nothing…

The prince collapsed back on the bed dazed, the faint sound of a baby’s cries filled the air.

“Congratulations my prince a healthy baby boy, large too over 10lbs, your husband will no doubt be pleased.” The doctor praised as the baby was gently placed on the prince’s chest who sobbed in exhaustion and pride.

He had done his duty.

It was around half an hour later that the prince’s husband strode in, a handsome boyish grin on his rugged face as he stared at the baby who slept on the prince’s chest.

“A son, you’ve given me a son.” The prince’s lord husband gently praised, hand gently soothing the prince’s short untamed curls as he stared down at the baby.

“T-thank you my lord.” Prince Lukas said softly. Voice weak and thready from his earlier pained screaming.

His husband, who was known for his brutish and domineering nature gave an uncharacteristic kiss to his husband, soft and affectionate.

“You did very well my darling boy, I have no doubt you will birth me a hoard of sons and daughters soon enough hmm?”

The prince nodded, obedient and loyal as was expected.

“Good boy.”

A world where vaginal birth and anal birth are normal parts of human existence, but anal births have been largely outlawed since the medicalisation of birth. This is because they're more difficult than vaginal births and need more effort and pushing time. So male pregnancies automatically end up in c-sections.

Now what about a movement where pregnant men refuse all that and decide to birth at home? It's hard, and dangerous, but screw the hospital. They'll have their sovereign births.
