PLANET: born on Alderaan; living on Odessen/Coruscant. PERSONAL HISTORY:        Notorious smuggler and starship captain, renowned Eternal Alliance Commander, wanted criminal of the Sith Empire, and formerly wanted-criminal of the Republic [now immune to prosecution as per former Supreme Chancellor’s Saresh’s orders, effective: 16 ATC. See Yavin 4 report, aftermath.] Cordelia Orion is the leader of the Eternal Alliance acting apart of the Galactic Republic. Orion is considered a war-hero of the Republic for aiding and participating in the battles of: TARIS, BALMORRA, ALDERAAN, HOTH, VOSS, and ILLUM.

Orion was born on Alderaan but grew up orphaned on Nar Shaddaa following an accident concerning her mother, Lania Rand [file: not found] in which she was presumed dead. Orion was apart of the Crimson Horizon gang led by Akeev Xerek during her childhood and teenager years and was the sole survivor and suspect of the incident following the Crimson Horizon’s sudden murder in Nar Shaddaa in 7 ATC. No warrant was sent out by the Exchange or Hutt Cartel for her arrest and she later ended up working for the underworld ring of smuggling for the next three years before ending up on Ord Mantell in 10 ATC. [See Ord Mantell: Separatist Report.] She ended up traveling to Coruscant, aiding the task force and several Senators during her time there before departing towards Taris and Nar Shaddaa.

On Taris, Orion helped the Republic push back the Empire and gain ground on Taris by aiding Governor Saresh; SIS agents report that during her time on Taris, Orion met with a contact - Beryl Thorne - who helped the captain retrieve an unknown item. Shortly after, Orion departed towards Nar Shaddaa to trade with Drooga for a starship engine and causing an uproar by freeing a Wookie slave named Bowdaar and leaving the planet shortly thereafter. (Lot of good she did on Nar Shaddaa. She had past experience with the Exchange and helped thin their ranks during the lower sections of Nar Shaddaa. She also helped out by searching through that old base of Revan’s and aiding Republic troopers when she could.

Agents on Tatooine and Alderaan also report seeing the captain on their planets following her disappearance from Nar Shaddaa. (Reports on Tatooine are scarce, sir. The most we have are sightings and what-not. We don’t know what she went there for.) On Alderaan, she made a name for herself in the Republic by directly aiding in the fight for the throne - acting as a Champion for House Organa and helping restore Alderaan to the Republic. On the side, she had dealings with a noble house who requested a droid in exchange for an anti-radiation shield. Months later after her departure from Alderaan and her low-profile, Orion saved Senator Dodonna and became a privateer for the Republic.

As a privateer, Orion did various deeds for the Republic during the thick of the war: Obtaining weapons from Project Nebula on Balmorra; locating a cloaking device from the White Maw on Hoth - who turned out to be an alien named Trick; aiding the prison force on Belsavis, gaining reputation for the Republic on Voss, and killing the Voidwolf on Correlia.

Her deeds, surprisingly, didn’t stop here. Orion was one of the special forces on Illum - joined by the Jedi Battlemaster and Havoc Squad’s leader - in infiltrating Darth Malgus’ space station and killing Malgus himself aboard the station. From there, Orion worked alongside SIS Agent Theron Shan in the Battle of Korriban and later (alongside Lana Beniko, a Sith lord apart of Intelligence; Jakarro and C2-D4, a dynamic Wookie and droid duo found on Manaan during the hunt for the Revanite threat) on Rishi and Yavin 4. The temporary alliance between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire resulted in the destruction of the Revanite extremists, former hero of the Jedi Civil War: Revan, and the Sith Emperor himself. For her outstanding deeds in the war, Orion was given diplomatic immunity by Supreme Chancellor Saresh.

Months after the battle of Yavin 4, Orion met Darth Marr - an ally who helped in the fight against Revan - aboard his flagship near the Outer Regions of space. They were both presumed dead with the destruction of his fleet by the Eternal Fleet’s ships.

(Agent Shan’s been going crazy lately with all the rumors circulating about Orion and Marr; there’s been talks about the both of them being alive in Wild Space -- war prisoners of the Eternal Fleet. Look, just do me a favor: don’t mention the captain around him, alright? I don’t need him ripping through all the known records anymore than he already is. Intelligence reports deciphered by both Sith and Republic Intelligence learned that in 16 ATC, Cordelia Orion was placed in carbonite by Emperor Arcann hours after former Emperor Valkorion’s death. Orion is credited (or blamed? Wouldn’t put it past Zakuul) for being the cause of Valkorion’s death by Arcann’s word, but whether that is true or not is up to anyone’s guess. Intelligence reports that Darth Marr of the Dark Council is dead, executed by Valkorion for refusing to submit.

Lana Beniko, Sith Lord and former Sith Intelligence, went missing earlier this week; her last recorded flight log has her heading towards Zakuul. Agents within the Empire suggest that she may be planning a rescue for Cordelia Orion.

(Can’t say I’ll miss Beniko. Right pain in the SIS’s ass. If she wants to die chasing a rumor, then it’s a win in our books. Speaking of rumors, Shan’s been acting weird lately too. Think he’s heard about Beniko’s rescue plan. I’ll have to ask the Director what to do.)

      ► Cordelia Orion      (meaning heart; meaning rising star)

Born two years after the Battle of Hoth (3663 BBY || 10 BTC) Cordelia Orion, nicknamed “Corri”, was born on the planet of Alderaan to Lania Rand and an unknown soldier; during an accident on the Promenade and Lania presumed dead, Cordelia was orphaned and stranded on the planet of Nar Shaddaa where she spent a majority of her life. She spent the earliest part of her years teaching herself how to pickpocket, hack into security terminals, and pull apart datapads and blasters as a means to survive and hide from the Exchange.

A chance encounter as a child allowed her to meet Akeev Xerek: a former Twi’lek Exchange bounty hunter with renown for being overly cruel. Having no where to run or anyone else to turn to - and with Akeev threatening to call the Exchange - Cordelia later ended up working under him for several years as an apprentice. During this time, she refined her hacking skills and began to learn how to pilot a starship while working within Akeev’s crew, who smuggled spices and other illegal goods off-world; while Akeev was a decent pirate, Cordelia loathed him with every fiber of her being since being indentured to him as early as twelve years old, forced to work and live under cruel and harsh environments.

At nineteen, Cordelia had worked herself up in the ranks to be an ace pilot apart of Akeev’s crew, capable of handling maintenance on the ship and other technical items, while finding her luck with dual blasters when things turned south. During a celebration party of a recent haul and a much-needed inspection of the ship’s engine, it’s suspected that Cordelia - with a seven-year long hatred against the abusive and cruel pirate captain Akeev - rigged the ship’s engine to overcharge and fry the ship from the inside out through the electrical currents while she “went out for more drinks”. With the cargo and pilot missing from the hangar bay, the pirate crew (known for alien-trafficking, smuggling illegal spices and weapons onto both Imperial and Republic worlds, extortion, assault, murder-) was found nearly all shocked to death and fried in the middle of a celebration party. The only outlier was the captain, Akeev, who was shot and stabbed in several locations on his chest.

Afterwards of the incident which was promptly and quickly forgotten by Nar Shaddaa residents and the Exchange, Cordelia began working as a freelancer pilot whose primary focus was smuggling on Corellia; her most notable victory from the planet was winning the XS Freighter in an all-or-nothing Pazaak game where both players gambled everything they owned on the line. With a new ship capable of taking her across the stars, Cordelia Orion became a reliable smuggler within the underworld; her flying skills were praised heavily, capable of outrunning both Imperial dreadnoughts, Republic flagships, and Mandalorian Crusaders, while under fire.

She’s in the middle of heading back to her ship after a deal going somewhat-right when her holocom goes off. Navigating back-alleys while trying to find a spot of privacy is difficult, but she’s better than most.

“How fast can you make it to Jax’s Diner?” Theron asks in lieu of a greeting. He sounds winded, looks like he’s hiding from a platoon from the way he looks over his shoulders every couple of seconds.

Cordelia bites back the grin on her face. “How fast do you need me to be there?” A momentary pause. “Who are you hiding from?”

“How about an half an hour?” He stops, fiddling with a datapad. “The director,” he adds.

Jax’s Diner is about two hours away from her current position in the lower depths of Coruscant, especially since she’ll probably have to shoot her way through pirates to get to a decent landing pad. The speeder doesn’t go below a hundred miles per hour, but she makes it to the diner in record thirty-nine minute time with minimal blaster marks. Her jacket’s a bit singed, but that’s the price she’ll pay for a dinner with Theron.

Cordelia slides into the booth, settled back against the corner of the building and smiles up at him from across the table. She tucks a strand of loose hair behind her ear and leans both elbows against the table. “Hi, honey.”

“Hi,” Theron smiles back, eyes searching her for any signs of injury and his smile growing a bit fonder when he finds none. “Black Sun giving you trouble?”

“Something like that.”

He raises an eyebrow.

“Bad deal,” she amends. “Well, bad then good. Wasn’t completely behind the barrel of a blaster this time,” Cordelia winks. “They were much more willing to compromise when I shot the blaster out of their hand. The refugees will have an easier time down there, at least.”

The look of concern on his face doesn’t completely go away, but it does fade when she finishes the story. Instead, it’s a look of pride. “I’m glad,” he says, “that you, and the refugees, are safe.”

“Worried about me, Theron?”

He laughs. “More than you know.”

Food comes shortly after that. It’s perhaps some of the most unhealthy food she’s ever had in her entire life, practically filled to the brim with grease, but by the stars above it is some of the most delicious food she’s ever had. Better than what she had in the first few months of living on Odessen, by far.

“So what’d you do to make this happen?” Cordelia asks, gently nudging his leg underneath the table with a wide innocent grin. “Deal with the devil? Trade a shift with someone? Don’t tell me you-” She gasps dramatically. “-did you take desk-work for our dinner?”

“I’d never do anything for desk-work again,” he replies automatically, looking a bit taken aback that she’d ask in the first place. “Well, most things. Anyway. I gave the SIS intel and decided that I haven’t had a day off in a while, so.”

He gestures around them to prove his point.

“Theron Shan, you skipped out on work for me?” Skipped being a bit of a stretch. It is true that he hasn’t had a day off in a while. It’s also true that he only recently got back to SIS and the Republic. She smiles.

“Yes. And I’d do it again.” He’s smiling back slightly.

“You sap.”

He rolls his eyes. “Eat your food.”
