Drawtober - Harvest Festival

Basically all of my art this month has been moody so I wanted to change that for my last entry. This is the second October in a row that’s been particularly hazardous to me physically, and though last year I still managed all my entries I had to give up on a few this year. I have some half begun pieces based on the prompts that I’d still like to finish though, so hopefully I’ll manage that soon.

Day 28 - Haunting

I was starting to get art block so I decided to experiment.

I was really disappointed by Bly Manor. I love Hill House but in this case the original novella and 1961 film pack more of a punch (in a big way if you agree with some of the interpretations). Plus, as a Brit, the terrible accents rendered it basically unwatchable tbh.

Day 22 - Wizard

Like everyone else I’m reevaluating my relationship with Harry Potter at the moment. I’ll never not be a fan, it’s meant far too much to me for too long, but I’m not going to be doing more fanart of it, at least for the time being. Loving the wizarding world is one thing, but I really don’t want to support (or lead anyone else to support) JK Rowling financially.

I really hope this will change in time and she’ll start listening, but for now my fandom will be something I practice in private.

Felt really ill working on this so it feels a bit meh and unfinished to me, but I think it’s time for bed, meds, and a hot water bottle.
