Castorâs gaze flickered towards the women, aware of the attendants silent rush to get Emery into heels, but pretending he hadnât noticed their arrival until the two were done. A gentleman wasnât supposed to rush a lady, according to his grandmother, and his grandmother was the one person he dared not cross.Â
âDo you like it?â
He asked when he finally looked at her, silently approving of the way the dress teased over her curves, and dipped discretely over her breasts. The other dress had made him think of things he had no business thinkingâ and while this dress wasnât exactly modest, it was elegant and sophisticated.Â
He liked it. He liked it on her. Heâd probably like it even more off of her. But that wasnât a mental image he wished to explore.Â
âIf you like it, we can take itâŚâ He met her eyes gauging her reaction for any sign that heâd made an erroneous judgement.Â
Did she like it? Yes. Did he actually care? Doubtful. But she smiled at him with adoration in her eyes, nodding approvingly at the dress once she turned to the mirror once again to look at her reflection. âI think itâll be perfect, especially if you like it too~â The associate could be heard letting out a sigh of relief, making Emery think his family held a lot more power in these circles than she originally thought. But she allowed herself to be whisked away to try a few more dresses at his discretion before he excused himself to an appointment.Â
Left by herself and with practically no budget, the associates lead her through the store for several other items to complete the shopping spree. From intimates, to jewelry, to shoes, and bags and other accessories. By the time Emery left the store and stepped into the car, she wondered for a moment just how much had been charged on the account. Everything will be sent to your destination so no worries about carrying anything with you on the plane.Â
He was smarter than she thought, sneakier too. To keep her hidden and away until it was time for them to fly out. The car arrived on a private runway, opening several feet away from a jet where she escorted onto. She hadnât heard word from him since he left to his appointment, and it was none of her business if it really was an appointment or if it was just a blanket reason to spend the least amount necessary around her. This was an arrangement after all. So Emery waited, until finally the second passenger stepped onto the plane.Â
âWelcome back, baby.â she tilted her head at him, a small smile on her lips before it disappeared into a straight pout.
