Summary:
It has been quite some time since the Imperator had entrusted her position to the previous Nousporism Sage, Anaxagoras. Anaxa’s ascent into demigodhood had confirmed his theory on the truth of the Gods. In doing so, he’s set his focus on regaining all of the coreflames to ensure that he will ascend into full godhood alongside his comrades.
It is the first of the Month of Freedom, and Castorice as returned from the Nether Realm to hand over Thanatos’ authority to her sister, Polyxia for the next six months. In many ways, nothing has changed between the Chrysos Heirs. Anaxa and Aglaea still bicker like a married couple, Phainon and Mydei are still in perpetual competition, and Cipher still appears upon Castorice’s window sill in the dead of night. However, everything’s changed. The number of Tribbies has dwindled down and the threat of Black Tide looms over the peace they have now.
Among the other Chrysos Heirs is Aglaea who only achieved godhood years after Cerydra and Hysilens had died. Anaxa and Aglaea are among only ones left from the Imperial Era yet their relationship had eroded over the years, a shadow of past fondness.
