a few thoughts
Choreography doesnât have to be overwhelming, and itâs okay to take it in small chunks The hardest part is getting started When choreographing, check your usage of time, space, energy, etc. you donât have to use all of them extensively, but if itâs kinda boring/not working together, go over each element. Often the only way to know if things will work is by trying! Choreography IS A SKILL- it takes time, effort, and work to develop choreographic abilities. This course helped me to understand that choreography doesnât have to be overwhelming, by trying to create something perfect in the first try. Working through my studies for a grade has forced me to simply create, even if it sucks. And through that, Iâm learning that everyone starts somewhere, and again, Iâm developing a skill, which requires time. In conclusion, Iâm so thankful for this class that has deeply grown my appreciation for choreography. Itâs given me so many tools to keep coming back too, and I feel a lot more confident moving forward on my journey as a choreographer.
