there’s literally nothing wrong with “stereotypical male” roles being displayed in non-hetero relationships, sapphics don’t have to ascribe to your view of what it means to be one, and please you in the process of creating something derivative of and for themselves. there are fem4fem couples, masc4masc couples, but “traditional” relationships, and everything else outside and in between. just because you don’t see yourself in them doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong it harmful about them.
the issues of the patriarchy and misogyny are exacerbated when people like this assume only men should want to or need to or decide to act a certain way. why wouldn’t that breed the same ideally fit women? feminism is gender equality for all or its nothing at all. you can’t say women can be whoever they want and then when you see a woman being different than you thought they would be with the freedom you gave them and act like they’re doing something wrong
you can’t blame the interpersonal dynamics of two people in a relationship on their gender, or categorize them into predesigned ways of loving and living based on it either, not even based on their socialization. at the end of the day people are who they are, and chose to be with who they do for reasons both justifiable and irrelevant for a stranger from the outside looking in. whether healthy or unhealthy in your eyes, no people are perfect regardless of gender identity (or lack there of)
