                                   you’re  on  thin  ice.  she  shivers  at  the  sound  of  his  voice,  rough,  rugged,  dark  through  the  speakers  of  her  phone,  and  she  doesn’t  bother  muffling  her  moan  in  response.  she  does  sink  her  teeth  in  to  her  lower  lip,  and  she  smiles  at  the  term,  at  the  name  he  calls  her.  it’s  almost  …  cute.  martha  swallowed,  humming  to  him  as  she  drags  both  of  her  fingers  out,  and  the  sinking  them  back  inside  her,  gasping  as  she  hooks  them.  there  is  no  question  as  to  what  she’s  doing.     ❝     just  thought  i’d  keep  you  company,  babe.     ❞      she  tells  him  innocently,  as  if  she  isn’t  knuckle  deep  inside  herself,  ass  perched  on  the  kitchen  counter,  leaning  back  against  the  cabinetry  and  grinning  as  her  hips  jerk  when  she  accidentally  presses  her  thumb  on  her  clit.  she  gasps,  and  she  swears,  to  herself  …  and  to  him.     ❝     f-fuck.     ❞      her  hand  drops  for  a  moment,  phone  held  tight  in  her  fingers,  as  she  braces  her  fist  on  the  countertop.  she  shudders,  rolling  her  shoulders  back  and  forcing  her  hand  to  still  between  her  thighs.  the  other  rises,  phone  to  her  ear,  and  she  is  breathes     ❝     how  “thin”  is  the  ice  i’m  on  ara,  ‘cause  i’m  really  fucking  close  right  now  …  and  i  don’t  think  i  can  wait.     ❞

those  she  help ,   it’s  usually  people  born  with  the  anomaly  gene ,   or  people  affected  by  tantalus  one  way  or  another .   families  or  friends .   but  sometimes  there’s  other  people  that  needs  help   &   she  rarely ,   if  ever  have  the  heart  to  say  no .   if  there  ever  is  something  she  can  do     .  .  .     so  there’s  a  bag  of  papers  made  for  him  and  the  girls ,   appointments  for  a  doctor  that’ll  help  them  and  not  ask  questions   :   some  contacts  that  could  be  helpful  in  the  future  when  more  settled  into  their  life .   meet  in  the  back  of  some  dark  parking  lot  where  nobody  would  think  to  look  twice .   a  few  times  they  have  met  now   &   while  she  should  simply  let  him  go ,   walk  away  one  last  time     .  .  .     she  likes  his  company .   doesn’t  want  it  to  be  the  last  time .   maybe  something  a  little  more  selfish  than  usual  as  she  leans  up ,   but  doesn’t  close  the  distance  entirely .   nose  barely  nudge  against  his ,   not  quite  sure ,   not  wanting  to  cross  boundaries .     ❝   i     .  .  . ❞      dark  gaze  shift  from  his  lips  and  up  to  find  his ,   hint  of  a  smile  tugging  at  lips .     ❝   i’d  really  like  to  see  you  again .   maybe ,   something     .  .  .     not  work  related   ?   ❞

He is no stranger to the sensation of his throat locking up, of his lungs screaming for air. The only difference this time is that there are a pair of hands around his throat. Mosu had thought he had been in the clear, that as soon as he felt the tickle at the back of his throat that triggered his cough, he pulled himself far away enough from anyone who might be within range. However, he didn’t count on the girl that followed him, who expressed concern when she asked him if he was alright. But it was too late.

Tears stream down his cheeks and all Mosu can think is no, please, not again. 

“ I’m sorry, ” he chokes out, gripping onto the wrists of the man who has him pinned. More tears fall, dribbling down his chin, and he knows he looks as absolutely pathetic as he sounds. But that’s all that he is, just a pathetic excuse for a being. “ Please don’t kill me, ” he blubbers out, his eyes darting back at forth between the cold dark eyes of his captor. “ Death would end to my suffering, and I don’t want that. I don’t deserve it. ”

              he did not expect this to be easy.  he’s switching the game on the other man and he sees how he balks at it.  he sees how he detests it as if it is some forbidden,  disgusting thing.  and emil is not going to let him win this.  it’s his game now and he’s going to make him play it.  they always do this aramis’s way.  he is strong-armed into it and maybe he likes it  (  he loves it  ),  but he wants the control this time.  so when the other man tries to walk away,  his arm reaches out and his closes around the other’s throat again.  he steps into his path and presses the blade beneath his chin once more  (  feels the warmth of the blood already spilt collect on his palm  ).  “  did i say you could fucking leave?  ”  it’s snarled out as he steps in,  hovers his face close to aramis again.  he won’t let him.   “  i’m not done with you.  ”  hand shifts down to curl into the collar of the other man’s shirt,  fingers tightly holding fabric.  his blade presses lower to his throat.  he pushes aramis back towards the nearest wall.   “  you’re gonna fucking take it.  just like you always make me.  don’t be a little bitch about it.  ”   oh,  he might want to touch him softly but there is that same fire in his eyes.  something sadistic in the taste of it still.  it’s his turn to take something he wants from him,  no matter the cost.  

     those wasps launch a full on invasive attack on the whole of him now, pins and needles creeping down his arms and torso to his legs, where knees buckle backwards and become the only reason he’s still standing. it has become less of a conversation he has waited years to have, and more of a trial where false declarations will have him tossed into the vacuums of space with little more than his shattered dignity. 

                                              “ i have never lied, lest of all to you. “     there is little more to say, as whoever had planted these ideas in her mind clearly had enough influence that she would believe he would harm her in any manner, let alone this. either she will believe him, and he will be able to continue explaining himself properly, or she will not. and he will shrivel.

             if there is such a thing as fate,  them finding each other at the end of the world does seem like some kind of divine planning.  he could have been stuck with any one of the staff.  any of the more apathetic individuals.  the cruel ones who would have jumped at the opportunity to use him for their survival and nothing more.  and with how tightly wound he was by tantalus even after everything happened,  he would have let it happen.  instead he found aldo.  someone kind and good.  he has the kind of heart which never belonged in a place like tantalus and now that they are both free of it,  sometimes it’s difficult for emil to find much qualms with how that freedom was bought. 

emil offers the other man a smile and lets his own grasp tighten around his hand.  he steps a little closer to the side while they walk,  so that he might lean over brush a quick kiss against aldo’s temple before returning to his regular gait.  “  don’t care much where we are or what we’re doing as long as it’s with you.  ”  this world can be grueling.  and the fight to find some kind of cure or vaccine is long.  but there could be worse ways to be spending his time in the apocalypse.  it’s good,  he thinks,  having a purpose for once that goes beyond lining the pockets of greedy men. 

             “  me too,  ”  wide smile spreads across her lips.  she used to read everything she could get her hands upon as a child.  and verita would take her to the library once she was older.  while most of what she read tended to be more educational,  she always allowed an indulgence in more fanciful matters.  leaning forward magnolia presses her lips to gaea’s.  it’s a gentle kiss at first.  and then she delivers another with a touch more hunger.  palm drops from the other’s cheek so she might take a hold of her hand instead.  face pulls away and she lifts gaea’s hand,  pressing her lips to the back of it.  it seems fitting,  for talks of fairytales and all.
