This one’s gonna be short and sweet.

Dobson posted an old comic of his on his Instagram today about gatekeeping fandoms.

Now this particular comic has been posted on here before, but I want to draw your attention to what Fobson says in the Author Notes.

Now ignoring the obvious reasons why people don’t want Dobson in their fandoms, I’m simply going to show one of the many many posts Dobson made when the She-Ra reboot was coming out.

So I’ve gotten a couple of Asks regarding Alex from Alex ze Pirate, as to if the swirl on her arm is a sleeve or a tattoo.

And while I did find the answer(because Dobson has drawn Alex in some form of toplessness a lot)...

...this particular comic actually reminded me of something I’ve been meaning to share for a while: a breakdown of this particular comic by Sandra and Woo.

For those that aren’t familiar with the webcomic, here’s a short summery from Wikipedia, as I’m not familiar enough with the comic myself to summarize it properly:

Sandra and Woo is a comedy webcomic written by a German author, Oliver Knörzer, and drawn by an Indonesian artist, Puri "Powree" Andini. It is published in English and German. The first strip was put online on 19 October 2008 and the black-and-white comic strip has been updated twice a week since then. As of 22 July 2019, 1100 strips have been published. From strip #307, published on 12 September 2011, to strip #398, published on 30 July 2012, the comic was colored by the American artist Lisa Moore. She also colored selected strips from the strip archive during this time. The 1000th Sandra and Woo strip was posted on 1 July 2018. A Kickstarter was announced on 7 November 2018 for a printed anthology of the first 1031 strips published already, and a second book containing art based on the comic.

I’d imagine this is the sort of thing Dobson originally hoped for when he first started doing webcomics.

Anyway, the reason I bring this up is because back in October 2013, this post was made.

I’m unsure if Dobson ever responded to this particular criticism, but it was shortly after that he stopped drawing Alex ze Pirate, so who knows?

Essentially, back when Wolfenstein 2 was coming out, they were going with a selling slogan of “Make America Nazi-Free Again!” This being 2017, people took it as the game company implying the then-President Trump and anyone who supported him were “Nazis”. People responded to the new slogan with “he, could you maybe not imply that we’re Nazis? People use that sort of thing to attack us.” And of course, people like Dobson mocked them for it saying “I thought video games didn’t cause real life violence lol”. It was some minor thing on Twitter that lasted like a day or two.

Dobson, being Dobson, strawman Ed it and exaggerated it for the sake of making a crappy comic claiming that gamers were complaining about the game because you beat up Nazis, and “all male gamers are just dumb dudebro Nazis”.

Oh, and just because I’m feeling sadistic, here’s Dobson’s idea of “trolling” someone, specifically that guy in the last tweet.

Glad people are seeing the truth.

Please read up on how @awdplace is an abuser, about how he harassed @lovelydagger and sexually assaulted her. AWD even admitted to masturbating onto her while she was in bed without spoken consent on his NSFW blog, @madcatterstudio.

I don’t care how funny it is, he’s a predator and keeps getting the slip just because he draws nice stuff. And I don’t throw a term like predator around loosely.

I wouldn’t post stuff like this unless I’m sure of it, I hate bringing people’s attention.

My stake in all of this goes back two years ago when I first met Daggy. She was still in a relationship with AWD at the time. I use to think AWD was a pretty cool guy, but over time certain things kept happening that raised some suspicions. There were moments when Daggy would be happy, but then her internet would go out unexpectedly, and she’d come back sounding shaken or upset and wouldn’t tell any of us why. One day when she was in a Skype call with us (my bf, two of her friends, and me) she accidentally left her mic on when AWD decided to start throwing a temper tantrum in the background. We could hear everything, and we all quickly lost respect for him. The way he was treating Daggy was appalling, and our suspicions were confirmed. He was verbally abusive, and whenever anything upset him, he’d take it out on her. Over the following months, we all made sure she knew we’d support her, and the things she opened up about sent chills down my spine. We found out he’d also been physically abusive, leaving bruises on her arms on more than one occasion. The things AWD would do and say to her mirrored my own horrible experiences with a highly abusive, sociopathic ex. With the help and support of her friends, Daggy eventually gathered the courage to leave AWD for her own safety and sanity. Since the breakup, AWD has been decorating his Twitter and FA account with pity posts, telling everyone how heartbroken and lonely he was. It was his attempt to make Daggy look like the villain. Because he’s popular and preemptively made himself look like the victim, she was too afraid to come forward to tell her side of the story until recently. Exposing AWD was a long time coming. He freaked out and blocked everyone, denying everything and refusing to be held accountable for what he’d done. To our shock, but not to our surprise, more and more female artists came out of the woodwork to tell their own terrifyingly similar stories regarding AWD. One girl in particular knew AWD since high school, and he got in trouble with the law for threatening to kill the girl he was with at the time. Women haven’t been the only victims of AWD’s antics either. He’s lost a lot of male friends over petty disagreements. He even attacked one of his best friends because he was jealous the guy got his own show. All in all, AWD is living garbage. A lot of people in the professional industry do not like him for their own reasons. Daggy and I (along with countless others now) are working hard to prevent him from taking advantage of anyone else, as he’s currently been trying to buddy-up with female artists who are unaware of the danger he poses.

He deleted his attack on Daggy (a tumblr post where he doesn’t even deny sexually assaulting her), but numerous people have already archived it. To this day, he still calls Daggy a liar, and refuses to admit to what he’s done. Rather than seeking psychological help for his deplorable behavior, he has chosen to sweep it all under the rug and focus his efforts on re-gaining the follower #’s he’s lost.

If you are an artist or anyone delving into the entertainment industry, I HIGHLY advise you distance yourself from AWD at all costs.

Context:

As I am to understand things(and anyone is free to correct anything I get wrong), the writer of the solo Squirrel Girl comic essentially “called in a favor” and got their artist friend hired to draw the comic, replacing the original artist who was going to draw it.

Which is why we got this:

I’m gonna come right out and admit this is an extremely minor nickpick. It’s just something I came across today that I felt serves as a good example of Dobson being a contrarian for the sake of being a contrarian makes him such a hypocrite.

Some of you can already figure out what this is about based on the title, but for those that aren’t, Dobson is not a fan of Deadpool. Not that I think he’s ever actually read a Deadpool comic, but Deadpool has been a meme multiple times, and Dobson tends to hate memes in general, as he feels he is a “meme” and it’s ruined his life.

But more specifically, Dobson has stated that he doesn’t like Dobson( I meant to say “Deadpool” here, but some people enjoy the typo, so…)because he’s a “lol memes” character and he doesn’t find characters like that funny.

Which is completely fine. Not everyone likes and enjoys Deadpool as a character (though he’s definitely more of a character to him than what Dobson claims), and characters like Deadpool can be very annoying when written badly.

And speaking of “forced funny” characters being written badly, meet Talus.

Talus is one of the crew members(specifically the cook) from Dobson’s “Alex ze Pirate” comics. He is, apparently, “descended from the ancient mythical dog-people of legend”.

As for the in-universe reason he’s…like this, apparently his old crew left him on a deserted island for years until Alex found him, so he went somewhat crazy while stranded.

And to Dobson, “somewhat crazy” means “lol random” apparently.

But remember, forced funny characters like Deadpool aren’t at all funny because they just say random nonsensical things and that’s the joke. According to Dobson anyway.

Thankfully in the home stretch, but that doesn’t mean any less dumb comments from Dobson.

Well gee, Dobson, maybe if one side had a pair of lesbians that could giggle and cuddle with each other the entire time, you’d be able to empathize more. Fucking hell...

If he had made these tweets a year or two later, I’m sure he would have called him “alt right” instead.

And yet you did nothing but complain and demean both halves of the movie....

I don’t know why he’d even watch a movie about a war going on, since he can’t even be bothered to understand why people like sports, let alone a sci-fi anime film about war. Also more accusations about sexism.

Ironically, as far as I know, he has no or rather not a positive opinion on Hazbin Hotel. I would need to look for the screenshots again cause he mentioned his “opinion” only on an ask on his tumblr, but supposedly he had “no opinion” because the thing is not his cup of tea. Which I honestly considered weird, because you know, lesbians, created by a woman and appreciated by a majority of the internet and not THAT violent compared to other adult animation despite being as foul mouthed as a sailor on land.

Which also led to speculation that Dobson either a) never watched it to begin with which would make any “opinion” he has on it automatically invalid , or that b) he is secretely jealous of Vivienne Medrano for at the very least getting a pilot for Hazbin Hotel off the ground together with her crew and friends.

He said Peter Parker could never be gay.

So, stop with this Stan Lee worshiping.

And also, Peter Parker isn't the only spider-man.

Stan Lee created X-Men to show how we shouldn't be discriminate or be afraid of people just because they are different. That's whom you are trying to paint as a bigot.
