And have baby! All the babies have unique designs (and a default, but changeable name) based on who you marry, and all of the designs are SO cute gaaahhh my heart
So I decided to give all the babies kid designs! I'll explain a little why I gave each kid their design but If you don't want spoilers for the kids' default names don't go below the cut hehe
Okay so from left to right
Astrid; Eiland's daughter - Gets a cozy sweater and long skirt 'cuz it makes her look book-ish. She reads but I can see her being an even bigger fan of writing :D
Ellie; Adeline's daughter - Kinda a copy of her mom. I can see her looking up to Adeline a lot.
Cedar; Reina's son - Has cute braids that Reina or grandma did for him. He also gets a cozy sweater 'cuz Reina's son must embody warmth and comfort just as much as she does! Also bowtie in honor of Luc (it's a hand-me-down)
Brid; Seridia's daughter - The pose kinda made it hard for me to design her dress, but I wanted the colours of her dress to look like fire! Brid gets one (1) bone on her outfit as her necklace, which has the eye accessory attached that she wore as a baby!
Rowan; Celine's son - Bug boy. When mom's in the garden planting flowers, he's also in the garden looking for bug. Learned how to make the flower bracelet from mom, and yes he is wearing crocs. He must.
Wilder; Hayden's son - His design is super obscured, but I want his shirt to have some embroidered animal at the front. Maybe a chicken...? He has leaves in his hair 'cuz he's outside a lot (and 'cuz it's cute!)
Fray; March's son - MY DAUGHTER!!! In her baby sprite there are dots on her face, which I interpreted as two (2) freckles on each cheek, but could also reference March's prepetual blush lines on his face. The ribbons in her hair are also from her baby design!
Tephra; Caldarus' daughter - I wanted her clothes to kinda mirror her dad's but also give her enough mobility to run and tumble. She'd definitely be one to explore and get lost in the deep woods but always mysteriously find her way home.
Rune; Juniper's daughter - Kinda a carbon copy of Juniper :p she MUST be wearing at least 3 gold accessories at a time. Rune and her mom would paint each others nails a different, matching colour every week
Sterling; Balor's son - He wants to be a cool rogue like his dad hence the capelet, but he hasn't worn his clothes long enough to get that roughed-up charm. One of his ears are pierced!
Kam; Ryis' son - Another bookish kid! Kam would read outside and talk to whoever/whatever he can find about the book he's reading. This includes people, birds, frogs, trees, you name it! He gets cold easily, so scarf!
Torin; Valen's son - Finalizing the bookish trio! Torin is THE quiet kid but when he feels it's his time to talk he is very honest and blunt. The rest of the time his nose is in a book, or he is hiding his nose (and the rest of his face) BEHIND a book as shown here :p
Oh that was long. Anyways I love these designs, so I might draw more of them in the future, and tweak them more as I go (justice for Brid!)

What is perseverance?
Perseverance is about being willing to bend, but not to break. It's the push to keep moving forward even when the destination seems unreachable; and it's about accepting all the pain that comes along with doing so.
The most famous example of Perseverance is that of The Tortoise and the Hare: while the latter overestimated its talent and rested on its laurels, the former didn't let the overwhelming disadvantage discourage it. In the end, it's the one who persevered that won.
The shadow of one's soul
An unhealthy Perseverance is usually unwilling to let things end. It can be close-minded and insistent, often hurting everyone involved in the process: the Persevering are the most susceptible to the sunk cost fallacy.
It can also build up a quiet resentment toward those it's been enduring for, as an unhealthy Perseverance often doesn't say things until it's too late.
Often confused with determination, DETERMINATION and PERSEVERANCE are often confused for one another, but the difference lies in where the energy points.
While DETERMINATION refuses every ending except the one it chose, PERSEVERANCE will look for different ways to achieve at least one of the results it was aiming for.
Of course, that doesn't mean one can't take from the other. Being so similar in behavior, the Determined and the Persevering often find each other to be fascinating: the former admires the endurance and planning skills of the latter, who in turn admires the Determined's desire for success.
Your secondary virtue
Your second-strongest virtue is JUSTICE, at 72%.
Due to JUSTICE's strong moral compass, the just Persevering will see to it that a wrong be made right, regardless of how long that might take: they are strong-willed and hard to make surrender.
Of course, this comes at a price: the just Persevering can easily become vindictive and end up holding grudges if they feel their moral compass is being disrespected.

I recently was speaking with a mutual @3muske-tears about what I'd do if I made a trans-masc Spamton piece. I said that despite the fact I really wanted to make one, I didn't really know what to add, since the internet seems to have said everything worth saying about Trans Spamton. But then she brought up a good point: that not a lot of people make art of Trans Spamton after his time as a big shot.
And I thought that presented a unique challenge cause like how do you convey trans-ness without like, reproductive parts? Or hormones? In a puppet body?
And turns out the answer was in what I've been meaning to do to all my favorite dresses since I transitioned 🏳️⚧️

FAQ and Rules
What sort of content can I create for this event?
You can create whatever you want (fic, art, edits, etc). Any fandom is allowed, as well as OC stuff. NSFW is allowed, but please tag your content accordingly! The only thing not allowed is AI-generated content. You're also free to combine these prompts with the prompts of any other event.
Do I need to make 31 things to participate?
Oh heavens no! You can make as much or as little content as you like, skip days when desired, or combine prompts (so for example, write something that covers a prompt from day 1, 2, AND 3). You don't have to do the days in order either, go wild! To be considered a 'completionist', you only have to make sure that at the end of the month, you've covered 31 prompts from 31 different days, but whether you do that in 31 works or just 1 is up to you. Your works can be separate oneshots or one continuous fic, or something in-between.
How do I interpret these prompts?
Creativity is the name of the game here! If you don't understand a prompt, feel free to send us an ask about it. However, the important thing is you can interpret the prompts however you want. For example, 'heat' could be literal (fever, heatstroke, burn wounds) or figurative (somebody getting heat for something). The dialogue prompts are allowed to be slightly rewritten to fit better for the character whose mouth it's coming out of, be that the whumpee, whumpter, or caretaker. As long as you're having fun!
What are these alts about?
If none of the three prompts of a particular day are your cup of tea, you can swap them out for an alt prompt of your choice. This will count as having covered that day for completionists.
How do I tag my works and is there an AO3 collection?
It suffices to tag your work with #ailesswhumptober for us to see and reblog it! Please also tag nsfw content, since we'll be using that tag on this blog too. Tagging the day is optional but does help the mods along.
There will be an AO3 collection like every year. It will be linked here once created (closer to October).
What's this I hear about badges/achievements?
For those who want an extra challenge, we come up with a set of achievements each year in addition to the 'completionist' one for you to strive for. Each achievement you complete comes with a cool little badge, hand drawn by our very own Mod Radio, which you can claim at the end of the event. A full list of the achievements will be linked here once created (closer to October).

This is all GREAT. I turned 40 last week, so permit me to add what I learned in my 30s:
keep on not working for startups
sometimes there comes a point where the thing (fandom, hobby, friendship, romantic relationship) you loved no longer brings you joy. And that's okay. Try to mourn the loss, take joy in the memories, and don't burn any bridges in case ten years go by and you find yourself back in that fandom/hobby/relationship again
it turns out that (ugh) moderate regular exercise is (spit) good for you. The sooner you make it part of your life, the easier it'll be
related: if you throw yourself into a new exercise regime too hard and too fast, without stopping to rest or consider whether a particular move is good for you ... well, shoulder injuries are painful and consults with orthopedic surgeons are expensive
knees are bastards too
don't even get me started on ankles
there may come a time when your digestive system is too fragile for ibuprofin. I'm sorry
one day you're gonna wake up and realise you no longer give any fucks about some things that used to bother you
on the other hand, you might be alarmed to realise what you still give a fuck about

I turn 50 this year. what I have learned in my 40s:
"loving yourself" is less of a feeling and more of an action. you can start doing it any time and it will make your life better and better as you go on
