Elvis and Priscilla, Vernon and Dee, the Espositos, the Gambills, and the Schillings returned to Los Angeles. The group had come up with the thought of spending a vacation in Europe. They all really wanted to go to Europe, and the ones without a passport went to arrange for one. The Colonel, however, argued that Elvisâ European fans would never accept the idea of him traveling to Europe as a tourist and not as a performer. So the plans changed and the bunch switched to the Bahamas.

So, this story is still getting updated? Trust me, I'm just as surprised as you are.
BIG BIG thank you to @thatbanditqueen for editing this into something that's actually readable. Where would I be without her? Lost in the desert somewhere.

âThanks again for picking me up!â Mary smiled as Lamar and Red loaded her two big suitcases into the trunk of the black Mercedes-Benz, parked on the side of the cobblestone street.
âNo problem.â Lamar huffed. âJesus, what do you have in here? A rock collection?â
She gasped and gestured around wildly. âTry fitting your entire life into two bags! Iâm a woman, I need my stuff.â
He smirked at her the way men always did when they thought a womenâs antics were amusingly beneath them, before opening the door for her. âAre you ready for crazy town?â
âNo?â She laughed awkwardly as she slid into the backseat. It was drizzling slightly and the train station in Friedberg looked as dull and lifeless as always, a stark contrast to the excitement running through her body whenever she was there. It meant she was gonna see him again.
As her eyes flitted over the now familiar narrow streets she now wandered, once again. She still couldn't believe sheâd managed to pack up nearly all of her belongings, to move in with a famous singer. Only crazy people did that, right? She wondered what she was getting herself into right now and how she â of all people â ended up in this situation. How had she found a way to sneak into his life? Or was it the other way around?
For Elvis things were always easy, it seemed. He wanted her to be with him. So, on Christmas heâd asked her to work for his father for the first time. âMoving in with them would only be logical,â heâd argued. That is just how it was with him â she had gathered that by now â whenever he had a crazy idea he wanted it done. Now. No delays. No second thoughts.
Sheâd been flattered by his insistence to keep her around, keep her close to him, but she also couldnât deny that the whole thing was a bit overwhelming and now she was a jittery mess, her mind going a thousand miles per hour. Mary had been hesitant when he first asked her to come to Bad Neuheim, not sure if she could just drop everything right there to be with him. She was âover complicating things, overthinking too muchâ â thatâs what he told her on the phone on multiple occasions after sheâd gone back to Frankfurt. Her final decision had been uncharacteristically impulsive.
âCherry, ya had plenty of time to think it through real good. What do you say?â He put his hand on the door frame next to her, his body towering over her. So close the heat was distracting.
Somehow she had raised her eyes to meet his. âItâs been a week since I was last here, Elvis. Not even.â
âItâs what Iâm saying. Plenty of time.â His thumb brushed over her chin and his tone softened. âAlso, whatâs there to think about?â
She sighed, shifting from one foot to the other. âWhere do I begin?â
âNah, donât start this again. Please. Do this for me.â He stepped closer and lowered his head. âAs my birthday present.â
âNot fair! Thatâs manipulation.â She gasped, jutting an accusatory finger into his chest.
âIs it working?â His lip curled as he shrugged casually, completely unaffected by her distress.
âGive me another week.â She pleaded.
He clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes. âCherry, whatâs gonna be different in a week?â
She began stammering helplessly. âI donât know?â
He reached out to brush a strand of hair behind her ear. âExactly.â
âIâll be a week older and more mature?â Mary knew she was being silly when she said that. What exactly was her problem? All the things holding her back didnât truly matter if she thought about it enough - mostly it was her own insecurity.
He narrowed his eyes as he held her arms, his thumb stroking over her bare skin and his gaze calculating. He cocked his head, his jaw quickly clenching and unclenching before nodding. âOkay. Take your time.â
âElvis...â
âNo, I get it, honey. I wonât push you.â He mumbled and brushed his lips over her forehead.
He hadnât paid her much attention for the remainder of the evening and didnât bring up the topic again, true to his word. Sheâd wandered the party, only half listening to the conversations happening around her, going back and forth in her mind. Taking a risk might actually be good for her. Whatâs the worst that could happen? It was about two hours later that she pulled him aside again to inform him of her decision.
A half smile had tugged at his lips and he gave a self-satisfied nod. âI knew youâd come to your senses.â
She opened mouth making a sound somewhere between a gasp and a laugh. âWatch it, before I change my mind again!â
He shook his head, still smiling down at her. âNo, You wonât.â
So â on Monday sheâd start a new job. Ultimately because heâd used cheap reverse psychology on her. She was so easy to manipulate it was almost laughable, she realized when sheâd gone to bed that night wondering what had just happened. It must have been the two glasses of champagne sheâd snuck while he was giving her the cold shoulder.
She was happy about the prospect of spending more time with him, being around him, being a real part of his life. Thatâs what sheâs wanted for the past few months now. But as she watched the rain drops race against the car window there were these stubborn, persistent doubts creeping back into her mind. Her mother told her she was probably rushing into this because sheâs in love. Her father liked Elvis, bonded with him over their shared love of music, but even he was critical and urged her to give it more time.
They trusted her to make good decisions, thatâs what they always said. Her parents werenât strict, like some of her friendsâ, but then sheâd never given them cause to be. For the first time in her life Mary wondered if she was truly making the right decision.
She took a deep breath to calm herself but the uncomfortable silence in the car didnât help. No one had uttered another word after leaving the train station, indeed, Lamar and Red avoided even looking at her or acknowledging her existence. After arriving at Hotel Grunewald she nearly sprinted inside eagerly looking for anything to occupy her mind. She quickly greeted Vernon and Dodger and felt some of her anxiety fade away, as if just entering his world was a magical remedy, a strange sort of sanctuary. It was a weird sensation each time.
She was sitting on the sofa in the lounge when Cherry the poodleâ her namesake - cuddled up right next to her. Scratching the dogâs ears, she began to wonder where he was. Heâs been off for nearly two hours now and there was no sign, not even a call from him. Even though heâd been the one who insisted that sheâd take an earlier train so she could be there on time when he got there.
It was 7pm when she finally heard a commotion outside. She didnât even need to turn her head to know what was causing it, she just grinned. Unable to help herself. Then got up and crossed her arms, before changing her mind and putting them on her hips. Since when did she have trouble deciding how to stand? In a final effort to pull herself together she just clasped her arms behind her back, heart nearly beating out of her rib cage.
âMy sweet Cherry is back. God Iâve missed you. Let me look at you honey, canât remember what you look like.â He cooed as he grabbed her, drawing her close and cupping her cheeks as he pressed his soft lips against hers.
Mary couldnât help but giggle. âItâs been three weeks. Remember? Your birthday? I was here. Does that ring a bell?â
âHmm, yeah, speaking of ringing, you were the one out of tune while everyone was singing Happy Birthday, I remember now. My ears were ringing for days.â He muttered while raising a hand to his ear with an exaggerated painful expression.
âGlad to be back.â She deadpanned while trying to make the corners of her mouth stop twitching.
Elvis snorted, seeing right through her as he always did. âAww, Cherry donât be like that. I enjoyed your cute outta tune singing. Been thinking of it ever since, missing it. You. Feels more like three years, decades, since Iâve seen you.â His grin turned into a rather dramatic pout when she didnât answer straight away. âYouâre saying you didnât miss me at all?â
Her breath hitched, feeling caught. Elvis was, in fact, the only thing sheâd thought about since she last saw him. Pretending otherwise wasnât gonna work, no matter how hard she tried, especially with his psychic abilities. âI did.â Mary admitted.
He smirked as he pecked her lips again, briefly so he could stand back and admire the intended effect â a rosy blush spreading on her cheeks. âYeah, I know, Cherry. I know.â He nodded to himself with a self-assurance that was almost frustrating.
Thereâs no doubt he knew exactly what he was doing when he leaned in closer, causing the burning sensation on her cheeks to creep further towards her neck. âI see it in your eyes. Donât lie, honey, I know youâre on cloud nine.â
Mary narrowed her eyes, still trying to appear cool and collected. Not like she was about to die from a heatstroke. âReady to jump into the abyss.â
âRight into my arms you mean.â His arms crept up on her waist, squeezing the soft flesh there.
âStop.â Mary put a hand over her eyes with a smile at his corny joke. â...But also yes.â She peeked at him through her fingers.
He hummed with a knowing smile on his face before reaching out for her wrist. His fingers danced over the silver bracelet dangling there, a gift from him.
âAnd youâve been good these last three, what was it, years?â
She playfully rolled her eyes at him and nodded.
âNo eye-rolling here.â He tutted.
âIs that in the contract?â She joked.
âShould be at the damn top if you ask me.â He mustered her for a second, looking behind her too. âYou are here to stay, right Cherry? Couldnât bear to have you leave me here all alone again.â
She followed his gaze, realizing he was referring to the lack of luggage. Apparently he didnât realize sheâd been here for a few hours now, as if sheâd just materialize out of thin air when he arrived and was ready for her. Even though he was the one telling her to come on the earliest train possible. âYeah, no, your grandmother helped me move my stuff and get settled in earlier. The room is really nice.â
âI didnât mean to keep you waiting all day, honey. Had to stay at the Barracks for this interview with, uh, American Bandstand.â He explained. âOlâ Dick was asking some deep questions, let me tell you.â
âOh?â She inquired, wanting him to carry on.
ââDo you ever miss home?ââ Elvis imitated, a goofy expression on his face. Still, his clipped tone betrayed hurt and annoyance. âCherry, by god, I- I didnât know what to say. Stuttered around like a fool.â
Mary put a comforting hand on him in understanding. Of course she also missed the States but at the same time she always felt like she was able to cope better than he did. His dependency on familiarity made it almost unbearable for him. He was always on edge, never able to fully let himself go.
Theyâd talk on the phone for hours, sometimes well into the night, when he had trouble falling asleep. Mary mostly listened, because if she tried to reason with him or cheer him up heâd accuse her of not understanding or not taking him seriously. Heâd get so worked up heâd hang up out of nowhere only to call back a few minutes later to apologize.
âAt least he had the decency to acknowledge that it was a damn stupid question.â
Mary nodded, still stroking his arm. âRest of the interview went well though?â
âI guess so. Colonel just thinks itâs good to remind people that I still exist. He wants me to do a few more interviews with Dick.â
She clicked her tongue and put a hand on his cheek, her thumb caressing his soft skin. âAs if anyone could ever forget you. Donât be so hard on yourself all the time.â
âYeah.â He trailed off and looked to the ground, his mouth a thin line, even as he now leaned into her. Mary could see that he wanted to say something else but then decided against it. She hated when he did that.
âIâm sure everyone at home will be excited to hear from you. They miss you.â She tried again.
âHoney, I need some damn food, Iâm about starved. You need to eat too.â Elvis decided for her and pulled her with him, effectively ending the conversation they just had.
He sat down around the table with Red and Lamar and started chatting away as if nothing had happened, while Mary shuffled over to help Minnie Mae with the plates, the comforting smell of home cooked dinner filling the small kitchen.
âVernon has taken that Stanley woman out for dinner somewhere. Heâs doing that every Friday now.â Minnie Mae informed her when she saw Mary counting plates and looking back and forth between the dinner table and the cabinet.
She nodded slowly and opened the drawer behind her to get cutlery for everyone. âElvis told me sheâs becoming quite a regular around here.â Glancing over she found him grinning as he wrestled poor Lamar into a headlock, unaware of their conversation. âHe hates it.â
âCanât blame him.â Minnie Mae grumbled, loading up the dinner plates with mashed potatoes.
âWhatâs for dinner, honey? And how are the kids?â Elvis asked as Mary began to set the table, looking up at her expectedly.
Mary frowned and put her hands on her hips, lips pursed in thought. âKids? Must be your other wife.â
âMultiple wives? Youâre in demand!â Red chuckled.
âNah, man, oneâs enough work, Iâll tell you that.â He grumbled, before breaking into a grin as the other two men at the table started cackling.
Mary let out a dreamy sigh and put a hand over her heart. âThat was my favorite part in your wedding vows.â
âIâm an honest man, what can I say?â
The conversation flowed easier now, Red and Lamar seemed to have remembered how to talk once Elvis was here, leading the way. Red and Lamar were planning to a bar after dinner and jokingly suggested that Minnie Mae will join them. The old woman adjusted her sunglasses with raised eyebrows and muttered something about âspending the night alone in her room where no one can bother her.â
Theyâd turned towards Elvis, wanting to know if heâd want to go out with them, their glances drifting towards Mary, who was busy staring at her plate. She really didnât want to intrude on a boyâs night out, even if theyâd ask her to tag along she knew it was only out of obligation towards Elvis. Going out with Red and Lamar was something she wasnât too keen on anyway. So she kept quiet, busying herself with pushing around the peas on her plate.
Elvis shook his head and glanced towards Mary with a knowing look. âLittle Cherry here doesnât need to see you two making absolute fools outta yourselves. She gets jumpy when people ainât behaving right.â
âIâm not jumpy!â
He tilted his head, his lip curling mischievously. âYou and I remember New Years very different then. I remember a certain blonde hiding behind me, screaming Elvis!!â He imitated her calling out for him in a high pitched voice before laughing.
Mary fought a grin. That impression was pretty accurate. âNot me. Youâre confusing me with someone.â
âFlinching every time a little firecracker went off.â Elvis continued and poked at her waist, making her jump slightly. âYeah, just like that.â He announced with a proud smile.
Mary felt her cheeks redden at him being able to prove his point so easily and took a sip of her water in an attempt to cool down. âOkay fine, I used you as a human shield. I call that resourceful.â
âHoney, no need for a shield. We knew what we was doinâ.â He assured her in a muffled voice, mouth full of food.
âRemember that one rocket that actually went crazy though? Damn near scorched Rexâs eyebrows.â Lamar chimed in.
âOr Redâs if he had any.â Elvis quipped. Lamar snorted, while Red chose to ignore the comment. âI told yâall the bottle was at a weird angle.â
âWell, turns out snow is not as sturdy as asphalt.â Lamar stated. âStill, no one got hurt.â
Mary smiled, cringing inwardly at the flashback to New Yearâs Eve. It had been truly enjoyable at first, the boys were so eager and excited. But then after a few beers rendered their critical thinking skills completely useless sheâd become increasingly concerned that someone would get hurt. Or worse.
âStill not as stupid as this dummy here who thought he should aim for the damn streetlight.â Elvis shot Red a pointed look while waving his fork in his direction.
âIt never actually hit.â Red defended himself with his hands raised.
âIt was damn close, son.â Elvis insisted, his smile not quite reaching his eyes anymore.
âThat light was too damn bright. Couldnât see the explosions.â Red continued, bringing up the same argument he did that night, as if it would help his case.
Elvis forcefully dropped his cutlery on his plate, the sharp clattering noise making everyone at the table jump. âMan, will you just shut up? I already told you that was bullshit.â
Minnie Mae coughed in their direction, and, like three school boys, they all shot up in their seats and continued eating. Except for Red, who yelped out as if someone had stepped on his foot.
Elvis turned to Mary, who had been watching him carefully. He reached out under the table to pat her knee, one corner of his mouth raising slightly. She put her hand over his, noticing the tension in his fingers as she entwined them with hers. With a gentle squeeze she spoke up again, reminding everyone of how Charlie got so drunk he lost his room key and tried to unlock the door with his guitar pick, relieving some of the unease that had settled at the table.
âDumb olâ Charlie, still looking for that key.â
Mary was doing the dishes after dinner when Elvis came to find her at the sink, snaked his arms around her waist while he rested his chin on her shoulder. âLetâs go out. Just me and you.â He whispered next to her ear.
âUh, sure. Where?â She turned her head, meeting his impossibly blue eyes.
âI donât know, letâs just go.â
She nodded as she dried her hands. âSounds like a plan.â
âMove it, Cherrypie.â He countered with a light tap to her butt, earning a swat from the towel in her hand in return.
Elvis stopped his car in the driveway to shake hands with some of the fans waiting there and sign whatever was presented to him. His interactions with fans was always a fascinating thing to watch. It seemed natural for him, even with a language barrier he seemed to always understand what they needed from him, and their faces lit up in response to his dazzling smiles and easy charm. It was like watching the sun finally peeking through the clouds after heavy rainfall.
âI donât think I could ever get used to this.â Mary remarked once they turned the corner, leaving the crowd behind.
âTrust me, honey, Iâm not. Donât think Iâll ever will be, sometimes I feel like Iâm livinâ someone elseâ life.â He mumbled as he fiddled around with the radio before settling on a station that he liked.
âItâs unreal. They almost didnât let us through earlier today, when I arrived. They were pretty disappointed when they saw Red and Lamar in the front seats instead of you.â
âGlad ya donât have to go out with those two morons?â He chuckled as he rested one arm comfortably over the headrest behind her.
âNo, would have been fun to see them dancing on the table and falling off, like two seconds later.â
âTold ya that story, huh?â
âNo, thatâs just what I assume their Friday night looks like.â She joked. âNo, you told me.â
A beat of silence, then Mary opened her mouth again. âYou really didnât want to go with them?â
His fingers drummed on the steering wheel. âNah, honey, uh, thatâs not really my thing, you know.â
She raised a skeptical eyebrow at him but didnât get a chance to speak before he turned his head towards her. âAnd Iâd much rather spend time with you.â
âElvis, the road!â She shrieked when the road ahead curved and he didnât seem to realize, gaze still fixed on her.
He veered the car sharply with a laugh. âCherry. donât always get your knickers in a twist. I know what Iâm doing.â
Why was it, when she got in a car with him he was always actively trying to kill her? She clung to him, wondering if he drove like a maniac just so get her closer to him.
âSo where exactly are we going?â She breathed, squeezing his arm at another turn.
âI donât know, just figured Iâll just drive around.â
After thirty minutes and at least four moments she had been sure they were about to crash and her life had flashed before her eyes, he finally decided to pull over at the end of a dark, empty street at the edge of the line of trees.
They got out of the car and Mary quickly spotted a body of water behind the trees and pulled her coat tight around her body, her breath escaping as a cloud of mist into the frigid air. Upon noticing her shivering Elvis opened the trunk to retrieve a blanket before reaching out for her hand again. There was a sign in the grass, an information board providing information. âHattsteinweiher.â She read out loud, picking up bits and pieces in the small text. Sheâd been practicing German more and more, but longer paragraphs like this still made her struggle a bit.
âWhatever that means.â Elvis commented with a shrug.
She gave a small snort as they continued their way through the wet grass towards the lake.
âItâs a nice place.â He said quietly, his gaze lingering on the water. âPeaceful.â
âIt is.â She agreed. âHave you been here before?â
He shook his head, looking around. It was a small lake, you could probably swim to the other side in about ten minutes. It was surrounded entirely by trees, only with a small strip of dark sand right on the edge of the inky water. It was perfectly still, reflecting a mirror image of the clear night sky above with the moonlight shimmering over the surface.
âIâm sure itâs beautiful in summer. Weâll have to come back here.â Mary marveled, already picturing herself spread out on a towel in the sand, basking in the warm afternoon sun after a swim.
âIf that means I get to see you in a bathing suit, count me in, honey.â He winked with an ease that made her knees weak.
âWell, I get to see you in your trunks, I guess itâs a win for both of us.â Mary replied and reached out to grab a handful of his butt, making Elvis jump. She let out a loud laugh before he narrowed his eyes at her with a smirk that promised no good. âNow, you wait, you little-â
She didnât even let him finish and took off with a yelp, narrowly escaping his arm already reaching out for her behind. It was way too dark to see where she was actually going, so she made a beeline towards a nearby bench, plopping down to spare herself the embarrassment of tripping over her own feet. Plus, there was no way sheâd actually be able to outrun him. âTime-out, time-out.â She panted, forming a âTâ with her hands.
âAlready giving up?â
âJust resting.â She countered, clutching her side.
He sat down as well, scooting close to her. âMan, you sound like you just ran a damn marathon.â
âNever been a runner.â She laughed, still trying to catch her breath. âNo Olympics for me.â
Elvis snorted and put an arm around her shoulder, tilting his head towards her. âI sure would love to see that, though.â He spoke in a low voice and a waggle of his eyebrows.
Mary gave him a knowing look. âI have no doubt you would. Just so you can laugh at me being the opposite of athletic.â
âIâd never laugh at you, Cherry.â He stated, his eyes twinkling with mirth and his mouth twisting, barely able to contain a grin.
âCanât even keep a straight face, cuz youâre laughing at me right now. Liar.â She stated in mock offense. âYouâre talking to the girl who, when she finally got her turn to pitch in middle school softball, managed to launch the ball behind her. They took me off the team after that.â
Elvis let out a loud laugh, reached towards the ground, picked up a few rocks and carefully placed them next to him on. One after the other he began hurling them into the lake with a grunt, each landing with a loud splash. âWhatâs so hard about that?â
âOkay, show-off! I guess it just takes special talent to defy laws of physics.â She chuckled. âAlso, now youâre ruining the peacefulness.â
âCherry, I ainât ruining nothinâ, you know damn well youâre the one who started it, running around here like some crazed wanton woman. Peace was already disturbed.â
âI restored it by requesting a time-out.â She formed a âTâ with her hand again, as if to remind him.
He leaned his head back. âThatâs how itâs gonna work, huh? Iâm the disturber of peace, youâre a party pooper. Whatâs new?â
As if to prove a point Mary grabbed a rock and threw it as far as she could. Which wasnât even half the distance Elvis had reached. Elvis gave a low whistle for comedic effect until it hit the surface of the water. âLook at you, honey. That was plum pitiful.â
âDonât you ever think youâre hitting a poor fish on the head?â Mary mused. âItâs what the dinosaurs mustâve felt like when the asteroid hit.â
Elvis turned and gave her a weird look, one eyebrow raised in a mix of confusion and disbelief, as if sheâd grown a second head.
âKeeps me up at night.â She shrugged.
Elvis looked towards the water as if actually contemplating her words before snorting and affectionately leaning his forehead against hers.
âWhat??â Mary exclaimed with a small laugh as his cold nose bumped against hers.
He pecked her lips. âNothinâ. Youâre just weird. And silly. Silly, silly girl.â
âGlad to hear I amuse you.â
âYou do, thatâs why I keep you around. You make me feel normal by comparison, I look downright sensible standinâ beside you.â
âHa Ha.â She did her best to sound as sarcastic as possible. âOnly for that?â She asked, rubbing her hands together, her fingers slowly getting numb from the icy wind.
Elvis casually spread the quilt he brought over them, making sure sheâs fully tucked in, like he was putting her to bed. âNah, youâre also sweet when you pretend to be annoyed with me.â
âPretend?â Mary asked, pulling at the coarse fabric.
âYep.â He replied, popping the âP.â âAdmit it. You love me.â
â...I do.â She nodded, again, there was just no way she could deny that. âYou know, this reminds me of that night on the USS Randall.â Mary whispered fondly, the memory of them sharing a blanket the night before they arrived in Bremerhaven replaying in her mind. It was one of her favorite memories for sure, the kind that you think about over and over again when you canât sleep.
Elvis exhaled with a whistle as the memory flashed before his eyes. She knew it was a conflicting memory for him. She vividly remembers the fear in his face after his carefully crafted mask slipped off in the most unexpected and intimate way, exposing a scared, deeply vulnerable boy under all the self-assured, charming smiles and witty comments. âIt sure was cold that night. Glad I wasnât alone. Found this real cute girl at the show, trying to get autographs for her little friends.â
âReady to risk anything. I still have that you know? That autograph you gave me. I honestly didnât think Iâd ever see you again.â She confessed.
âThe one you begged me for after kissing me?â
âThat is not what happened.â She objected with a decisive shake of her head.
He bit his bottom lip and smirked at her blank expression. âHmm, whatever you say, honey.â
Mary playfully shoved at his shoulder only for him to put both his arms around her and squeeze her, his eyes softening. âI think itâs really sweet you still have that.â He cooed into her ear. âI think youâre sweet too.â
She leaned into his touch and threw another stone, watching the reflection of the moon ripple in the water. âSeems like ages ago.â
âI donât know, you still look the same to me. Nah wait, is that a gray hair?â His brows furrowed in mock concentration as he twirled a strand of her hair in his fingers.
âMust be. See what dealing with you is doing to me?â She joked. âIn three weeks Iâll look like Dodger.â
He chuckled in response âGive or takeâ. His head dropped back on her shoulder and he took a deep breath before speaking up again, his tone growing more somber. âI really couldnât do this without you, Cherry. I-I hope you know that.â She hugged him back and pulled him closer to her, his body warm and solid against hers.
âIâm serious, honey, meeting you that night-â He shook his head, searching for words that never came easy to him in situations like these. âI-I donât know what Iâd do without ya. Iâm just real glad youâre here now. And youâre not leaving.â
âI know, Iâm staying." She confirmed, her fingers combing through his hair. âIâm glad to be here too. I like it better here than in Frankfurt anyway. The city is so loud. And you know how much I liked living in that small apartment with my family.â
âHeard you complain about it once or twice.â He tilted his head to look up at her, eyes searching hers intently. âBut, let me tell you, youâll miss it. Itâs a big thing for a little girl like you. Moving away.â
âIâm almost nineteen, Iâm not little.â Mary countered with furrowed brows.
But Elvis wasnât having it. âYes you are. And I promised Iâll take good care of you, but family is important, Cherrypie. Donât want you forgetting that.â
âI wonât.â She reassured him. âBesides, theyâre only an hour away. Itâs not like Iâm on the other side of the world.â
âAnd thatâs good. Youâre gonna call them everyday. And they can come visit as much as they want. I want you to tell them that.â He spoke in a tone that didnât leave any room for arguments.
âAnything else, Boss?â
âIâm serious, Mary. You need to stick close with your folks. Itâs why I brought my people with me.â He explained, his tone urgent. âEven Lamar and Red, they can be annoying dumbasses, but deep down theyâre good boys and I trust them. Like family.â
She held his intense stare, fully aware why he was pressing the topic so much. â...I know. And I do appreciate the offer.â He nodded and dropped his head on her shoulder again. âI just think Iâm not realizing that Iâm actually staying this time. No going back home. Hasnât registered yet.â She tapped her temple with an apologetic smile.
His hand wandered over her thigh soothingly. âAre you scared? You donât have to be scared, honey.â
âIâm not, promise. Got you to take care of me, right?â She echoed his words from earlier and felt him grin against her shoulder.
âThatâs right, Cherry. You got me, and I got you.â
âI donât know why I made such a big fuss.â She sighed.
âTold ya, youâre overthinking it, shouldâve listened to me more.â He tapped her knee. âBut I knew you wouldn't leave me out in the cold.â
A gentle curve touched her lips. âSpeaking of cold. Is it normal I canât feel my legs and arms?â
âOkay, honey, time to go.â He snorted, nudging her to get up from the bench.
They huddled close once they were in the car, and she spoke up again. âGod, I canât wait for summer. One day Iâll live on a tropical island, I swear. I hate the cold.â
âHmm, I think itâs cozy.â He mumbled as his breath ghosted over her neck, making her shiver even more. His hand rested comfortably on her hip and squeezed, urging her to move even closer to him. The heat radiating off his body gave her goosebumps as it spread through her skin and down her spine. âOf course summer also has itâs, uh, perks. Seeing my cute Cherrypie in a swimsuit.â His plush lips pressed against her pulse point, making her close her eyes with a sigh. âMaking love to her in the water.â
She let out a scandalized squeal and he playfully bit her earlobe. âNah, donât go all prim and proper on me now, honey, you still owe me one.â His fingers now grazed the back of her thigh, drawing tauntingly slow circles there. Suddenly she didnât feel cold anymore. At all.
âIâve really missed you. Missed you bad.â
Mary buried a hand in his hair in response, gripping tightly and relishing the softness of it â sheâd never grow tired of running her fingers through his hair. He seemed to agree, sighing contentedly before brushing his lips over her cheek only to stop at the corner of her mouth.
âThought âbout you so much.â He whispered, his hot breath ghosting over her lips. Mary angled her body towards him, the black leather beneath her creaking with her movement, and caught his full bottom lip between hers.
âI missed you too.â She whimpered between kisses, the familiar comfort of his touch wrapped around her like a cocoon, her heart aching with longing for him. Tasting him was like a drug, an addiction she was sure sheâd never be able to overcome. Her head started spinning when his soft tongue ran over her lip and she clutched him tightly, holding onto him like a lifeline.
After a few seconds she had to pull away from him to catch her breath, already missing the feeling of him on her lips. Still panting heavily, Mary tilted her head and started kissing down his jaw, towards his neck. The smell of gasoline and sweat filled her nostrils as she continued her gentle trail over his soft skin, sucking and licking wherever she could. It was as if she couldnât get enough of him, trying desperately to get as close as possible, like she would suffocate without him.
He moved his hand from the back of her thigh towards her butt, urging her forward. Promptly she lifted one of her legs and swung it over his lap, her chest now pressing against his. He slowly slipped her coat from her shoulders, his touch lingering as he skimmed her arms. She gave a small shimmy to help it along, making the fabric pool at his feet. He made a small noise in the back of his throat and began tugging at her blouse. Once heâd freed it from her skirt he slid his hand in, his fingers sprawled over her bare back, pressing her even closer against him. He traced the line of her spine until he reached her bra strap, deliberately hooking his thumb under it.
Mary pressed herself down on his sturdy thigh, the circular motion creating a wonderful friction. It was like a magnetic pull originating down between their bodies, her fingers brushing against the waistband of his pants on their own accord. With slightly shaky hands she started fiddling around with the button, eager to feel more, to feel him.
âWoah, Cherry, slow down.â He rasped, his hands grabbing her hips before lifting her off his lap, back onto the seat next to him, the sudden motion leaving her disoriented for a second.
âWhy?â She blew some hair out of her face and attempted to climb on top of him again before she lost her courage.
He held her by her shoulders before letting out a snort at her pouty face. He cupped her chin softly, a glint in his eyes at her obvious impatience. âThereâs no need to rush anything, baby.â
âYes, there is. Please let me.â She grabbed his hand and held it between hers before leaning in to press a few kisses to his cheek until she reached his ear, brushing her lips right behind the shell of it. Then she let his hand fall on her chest and began undoing the buttons of her blouse.
âHoney, be good.â He chided, a slight edge to his voice.
âIâm not doing anything.â She murmured, withdrawing just the slightest bit.
âNot doing anything, my ass.â He jumps slightly when she started nibbling on his earlobe. âYouâre not playing fair.â
âIf it gets me what I want I donât care.â She quoted him, speaking in a low voice she hoped sounded seductive, while shaking off her blouse in the process.
His eyes flickered down to her bra. âHa! Nah, Cherry, baby, see t-that is a lie. Youâre just a sweet itty-bitty thing that doesnât even know whatâs good for her.â
She raised her eyebrows and brushed over the short hair on the back of his neck. âAnd you do?â
âMhm, I know. I-I keep telling you, but youâre damn stubborn sometimes.â He murmured accusingly.
Before she could protest he slipped his soft tongue back into her mouth, his hand that was sprawled over lower belly started wandering lower, toying with the hem of her bunched up skirt. It would be so easy to let herself fall into his touch again, but she was a woman with a mission. She swiftly placed his hand on her hip and went back to nuzzling his neck, inhaling deeply as his pulse fluttered wildly beneath her lips.
Her tongue ran over his neck, savoring the tasting of salt on his skin, and she reached downward once more, palming him though his pants, feeling the bulge there. This time he didnât stop her, quite the opposite, his hips thrust up slightly, meeting her hand. A quiet gasp escaped her, a familiar ache building between her own legs. He watched her closely, studying her, his chest heaving, as if daring her to carry on. Only the subtle jiggle of his knee betrayed him, a small, nervous rhythm that matched her own fluttering heart.
With a deep breath Mary slowly began to undo his zipper, willing her hand to finally stop shaking, while he watched her with dark eyes, the air thick and buzzing with anticipation. He stared, eyes unwavering, just his lips curling slightly as he saw her fighting her nerves. She met his eyes again, holding his piercing gaze, challenging him. With a flick of her wrist she cupped him, feeling his weight in her palm, warm and velvety.
A strangled grunt escaped him and Mary squinted at him in the darkness, trying to determine his reaction. A soft pink hue touched his cheeks and his eyes fell shut as a shudder went through his body and he bucked up into her hand again. Carefully she wrapped one hand around him, holding still for a moment, relishing the unguarded expression on his face and how she was the one causing it. She bit her lip, stifling the grin that tugged at the corners of her mouth at her small triumph. Slowly she began pumping her hand up and down, watching his Adamâs apple bobbing as he leaned his head back.
âDamn it, Cherry. Donât stop.â He whispered, his voice failing him. His lips parted and the only sound she could hear was his heavy breathing between them. It made her whole body tingle, a slight tremor electrifying her muscles as if struck by a thousand tiny lightning bolts. Spurred by that energy she increased her pace despite the ache already forming in her wrist.
âGod damn.â He breathed before biting down hard on his glistening bottom lip, a sheen of sweat covering his forehead. With every jerk she gave he grew more uninhibited, his restraint melting away like candle wax over an open flame. It was exhilarating, having that kind of power over him. Usually he had her writhing beneath him, completely at his mercy. Now it was he whose hands fumbled clumsily over her body, kneading and groping whatever he could reach. His neediness was intoxicating, and she had to clench her own thighs to focus over the throbbing between her legs.
Then all of a sudden he groaned, loudly and bucked forward as he coated her hand in white, creamy liquid. His hands dug harshly into her hips, in an effort to hold her still, or just holding onto her, she wasnât sure. It didnât matter. Mary couldnât tear her eyes off him as she watched his body involuntarily twitching and jerking to a rhythm only he could hear. His dark eyelashes fluttered against his still reddened cheek, his swollen lips closing as he swallowed hard. No, looking away from him felt physically impossible, Mary thought - she saw the most beautiful man in the world in front of her. She carefully wiped the sweat off his forehead and ran a hand through his disheveled hair, trying to ground him again.
âHey, baby.â She whispered with a small smile.
He just hummed and licked his lips, not looking like he registered anything at the moment.
âUh⊠Do you have any... napkins?â She awkwardly held up her other hand.
âHuh?â He replied, clearly still in a daze, eyes half-lidded.
Mary nodded to herself with a snort and quickly looked around the car before opening the glove compartment and fishing out a piece of cloth kept there for the windshield. Well, she thought and quickly wiped her hands before reaching down to clean him up too.
He let out a hiss and frowned. âCareful, honey, Iâm sensitive.â
âSorry.â She smiled bashfully, quickly finishing up.
âSâokay.â He slurred. âCome here, where are you going?â He muttered as she moved over, his arms blindly reaching out for her. âStay right here.â
She settled right next to him again. âIâm right here.â
âYes you are. My wittle baby is right here, where she belongs.â He cooed as he pressed his cheek against hers.
âElvis!â She giggled as he shifted his weight and leaned over, pushing her back until she was almost laying down, with him on top of her.
âYouâre so cute, I could eat you up.â
âOw!â She yelped with a small laugh as he bit down on her clavicle.
He just laughed, quickly kissing the spot he just sank his teeth into. âNow, where did you learn how to do that?â He murmured into her neck.
She shrugged. âI improvised.â
âNeed to let ya improvise more often.â He nodded against her.
âIf youâll let me.â She laughed as he hummed in agreement.
Back at the hotel late that night Mary moved as quietly as she could, though he hardly bothered. Once they were upstairs he pulled her into his room with such ease that she wondered if sheâd ever use her own. It already felt so natural to get undressed and crawl into bed with him. Sheâd stopped asking about the small orange prescription bottles constantly residing on his bedside table and waited patiently as he retrieved a few white pills and dry swallowed them without another word. Then pulled her against his chest, his heartbeat right beneath her ear and she felt herself drifting away with his arms securely around her.
After what felt like only a few minutes of sleep there was a harsh knock on the door, startling both Elvis and Mary out of their embrace, limbs tangled together beneath the comforting warmth of the crumpled sheets. âYour friend is here, asking for you.â Minnie Maeâs voice sounded from the other side of the door.
Elvis let his head fall back against the pillow and closed his eyes, while Mary squinted at the window, trying to figure out what time it was. The room was bathed in a soft orange glow and she figured it must be morning already.
âWhat friend?â Mary asked with a yawn.
His eyes remained closed as he frowned, as if trying to remember himself. Keeping up with his own schedule wasnât necessarily a strength of his, Mary quickly learned.
A few seconds passed with her looking expectedly at him, only for him to let out a snore. She lightly touched his shoulder, making him jump a little and close his mouth. It was pretty adorable and she had to contain a giggle. âElvis?â
â...Uh, I think Elisabeth and Rex wanted to stop by today.â He muttered, his words barely intelligible.
âOh.â Mary leaned up on her elbow. âThatâs nice.â
He hummed and craned his head to place a kiss to what he probably thought was her mouth. His lips however ended up on her elbow â not that he noticed in his half asleep state. âWhy donât you go say hello to them for me, hm?â
âAnd... youâre not coming?â She asked, a bit perplexed.
He sighed and covered his eyes with his arm dramatically. âHoney, itâs Saturday, I work all week, let me sleep a little longer. Iâll be with you soon.â
âSeriously?â
He nodded. âAs serious as it can be. Theyâre trying work me to death here.â
Mary shook her head with a small smile and pressed a proper kiss to his lips. âWouldnât want that. All right, Sleeping Beauty.â She threw her pillow at him before getting up and going to the bathroom, successfully dodging the same pillow that came flying her way only a moment later.
âNext time.â He mumbled as she closed the door behind her.
That man was way too persuasive, Mary pondered as she made her way downstairs, on her way to greet his guests. He didnât even have to do anything except ask her â once â and bat his pretty eyelashes at her. She was a lost cause, truly.
She did like Elisabeth and Rex but still felt a little uneasy with her presence. The fact that Elvis apparently kept inviting her over just didnât sit right with her, even though heâd assured her multiple times that thereâs no reason for her to worry. Rex seemed to hang around most of the time as well, so they werenât even alone. Mary shook her head at herself. Stop worrying so much.
She quickly spotted Elisabeth in the breakfast room adjacent to the hotel lobby and called out for her.
âOh, hello Mary, itâs nice to see you again.â Elisabeth smiled and reached out for a brief hug.
âNice to see you too. Itâs been a while.â Mary replied politely.
âYeah, thatâs true. Where is Elvis? I saw Mrs. Presley earlier, she said sheâll look for him. She never came back.â Elisabeth shrugged.
âOh, heâs, uh, busy, heâll be here soon though.â Mary offered with a reassuring smile. Something about telling Elisabeth that he preferred to sleep and sent her instead just didnât seem right. Why was it that her brain couldnât cough up at least one halfway-smart excuse though?
Elisabeth only nodded.
â...So you just got here this morning? From Grafenwöhr?â Mary blurted after a few seconds of awkward silence.
âI arrived very late last night. Iâm a bit tired to be honest. Iâll get some coffee, do you want some?â
âTea please, thank you.â Mary answered took a seat in one of the dark wooden chairs, smoothing down her skirt as she did so. So far so good.
âSo, you arrived yesterday as well?â Elisabeth inquired as she joined her a few seconds later, setting two steaming mugs down on the table.
âYeah, I got in around noon.â
âElvis told me youâre gonna start working for him? Thatâs certainly exciting.â
Mary reached for a cube of sugar, dropped it into her tea and started stirring. âI know. Iâm not sure what Iâm getting myself into here.â She let out a small chuckle.
Elisabeth eyed her intently for a second before scooting closer with her chair and speaking in a hushed tone. âBut, you two are, like a thing right?â
For a moment Mary was taken aback by Elisabethâs directness and started fidgeting under the table. She took a deep breath as she processed the question. If she only knew what exactly they were. Sheâd love to provide an adequate answer. For herself, too.
âI, uh, guess we are. You know how he is.â Was she oversharing now? What was it to Elisabeth anyway? The two women hardly knew each other. On the other hand she couldnât deny that the prospect of talking to someone who actually knew Elvis and understood what he was like was something Mary craved deeply. Even though she didnât know if she could fully trust Elisabeth, she felt a strange sort of kinship towards her. Talking to her friends back in Frankfurt about her love life was tricky, maybe she finally found someone to confide in. âI do care deeply about him.â
Elisabeth gave her a knowing smile. âYou looked very much in love when I last saw you two at the cinema in Grafenwöhr.â
âThat obvious?â Mary let out a snort, overplaying the bashfulness she suddenly felt.
Elisabeth nodded with a grin. âThese girls outside would love to trade places with you.â
âTo be honest Iâm not quite sure what he sees in me. Sometimes I wonder if I was just in the right place at the right time.â
âDoes it ever bother you?â Elisabeth nodded towards the fans waiting in front of the hotel nearly every hour of the day.
Mary looked down, watching the tea bag swirl around the steaming water. âI know he has a reputation. I want to trust him. But Iâm also a realist.â She glanced up again, right into Elisabethâs sympathetic face. âAccording to the media his current girlfriend is this Margit BĂŒrgin.â His German girlfriend at least, Mary thought. Of course there was also the American, Anita Wood. And god knows who else.
Elisabeth opened her mouth only to close it again. There was something she wanted to say and Mary cocked her head in curiosity.
âI met her before. Margit.â Elisabeth clarified.
âShe was here?â Mary asked, not really surprised. Still, that sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, a nasty mix of jealousy and disappointment, made her swallow hard.
âAbout two weeks ago. I was here for the weekend.â Elisabeth hesitated again. âElvis asked me to translate, poor girl doesnât speak a word of English. I donât want to be mean, Margit is nice, but she seems like a little airhead⊠We went to that bar that the boys visit every weekend. It was all a bit awkward.â
So much for Elvisâ claim that this wasnât really his scene. Not that Mary had actually believed him, but still. Why would he just lie to her like that? He should know that he didnât need to hide or pretend anything from her, at least thatâs what she hoped.
âIâm sure itâs just a publicity thing.â Elisabeth finished her story with a nonchalant shrug, indicating that it is probably no big deal. Her tone, however, sounded like someone whoâd said too much and was now trying to salvage whatever they can.
Mary appreciated the sentiment and nodded along. âIt probably is.â She replied, her smile indifferent.
Still, Elisabeth sensed the tension now hanging over them, yet unable to do anything about it.
âSo, do you visit often?â Mary asked in what she hoped was a cheerful tone, anything to make the woman sitting across from her stop watching her with that pitiful expression on her face.
Thankfully Elisabeth got the hint and started chatting away, just as desperate for a change of topic. âIâm visiting every other weekend. Itâs quite a journey from Grafenwöhr. Takes me nearly eight hours to get here by train. Rex is here most days. He and Elvis became quite close the last few weeks.â
Mary cleared her throat. âSpeaking of, whereâs Rex? Elvis told me heâd come as well.â
Elisabeth lowered her gaze to the delicate silver watch on her wrist. âOh yes, he should be here any minute now.â
Just as Mary wanted to reply there were thundering footsteps approaching, followed by Elvisâ booming laughter.
âElvis, whatâs going on?â She called as he ran towards her, a bottle of shaving cream in his hand. He stopped next right to her, completely out of breath and suddenly bent down to spray some shaving cream right onto her nose, making her scrunch up her face.
âGot some cream there, Cherrypie.â He grinned widely, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, paying no mind to Elisabeth.
âYou-â Mary gasped with a playful smile and raised her hand to wipe the foam off her nose. She was about to reach out to smear it on his face when Red and Lamar entered as well, wild looks on their faces, huffing and puffing while they both clutched their own bottle of shaving cream. So, thatâs what he was running from. They could be such children sometimes.
Other guests already began leaving the breakfast room at the chaotic scene in front of them, not eager to witness or be involved in whatever Elvis and his strange entourage was up to. Mary raised her eyebrows.
âMaybe request a time-out?â Mary joked, half hoping theyâd actually stop.
âNah, honey, this is war, no time-outs here.â Elvis countered, his gaze fixated on the two men across from him as he moved behind her.
âOkay, but donât use me as a human shield now. Only Iâm allowed to do that to you.â
âSo, that doesnât really sound fair, now does it, Cherrypie?â
She turned around, still eager to wipe off the foam still covering her hands, preferably on him. âWell, I have nothing to do with this, Iâm just an innocent bystander.â
âInnocent, my ass.â Elvis dodged her attack with ease, jumping backwards.
âElvis!â
âSorry, honey, still donât have a napkin for ya.â He snickered with am impish smile, making her close her eyes in concentration, forcing away the blush that threatened to explode on her cheeks, especially when she heard Lamar and Red snort at the comment.
When she faced them with as much grace as she could muster a big splash of white foam came flying in her direction, landing right on her blouse. She gasped and looked up into Lamarâs face, who looked just as shocked as herself. Man, his aim was bad. So much for her dignity right now.
âNow look what you did, you incompetent-â Elvis stopped himself before he could curse and decided to just glare at his friend, who now looked visibly uncomfortable. For a few seconds nobody moved a muscle, not even Mary dared to say anything. Upon seeing the terror on Lamarâs face however, Elvis couldnât take it anymore, suddenly erupting into loud laughter. He used the fact that his friend was still staring at him like a deer caught in headlights to his advantage and took off, rushing back towards the lobby which lead to the staircase, still cackling like a madman.
Red quickly followed Elvis while Lamar blinked, taking a second longer to get his bearings again. âAsshole. Sorry Mary.â He muttered under his breath before taking off as well.
âYouâre fine!â She shouted as he turned the corner, not even sure if heâd hear it.
âOh dear.â Elisabeth breathed after a second and handed her a serviette she pulled from her dress pocket.
âOh dear, indeed.â Mary agreed, dabbing the cloth against her chest. âHe did use me as a human shield, can you believe that?â
Elisabeth grimaced slightly, not sure if she should actually laugh or not. âThey canât seem to stay out of trouble.â
âI know.â Mary agreed. âIâm actually kind of worried. They almost got kicked out the day after Elvisâ birthday after having a water fight in the hall.â
âRex told me about it. He also said Elvis has been paying Herrn Schmidt double since thatâŠuh incident.â
âHe never mentioned that.â
âIâm not sure if Red and Lamar are aware of it, to my knowledge only Rex and Mr. Presley know.â
Only a moment later there was a shrill scream echoing through the hotel, making both women jump. Mary threw away the neatly embroidered napkin, while Elisabeth hit her knee on the table in shock. They shared a brief look, eyes wide and mouths open. âOh my god, what are they doing now!?â Mary gasped as she jumped off her seat, nearly knocking over her half empty mug in the process.
Elisabeth got up just as quickly, looking equally alarmed. âDoesnât sound good.â
The two women made their way towards the lobby, with Elisabeth nearly colliding with a very confused looking Rex Mansfield. âElisabeth!â He gasped, holding her by her shoulders.
Mary paid them no mind, dashing past them to see what the commotion was about. As she rushed upstairs the smell of smoke entered her nostrils, getting more and more intense with each step she took.
âWhat the fuck, you stupid fucking asshole?!â Elvisâ eyes were raging as he was seizing up Red, he didnât even notice Mary standing at the edge of the stairway. âYou tryinâ to get us killed? Use your damn brain.â He barked as he pointed his finger towards his temple and shook his head, still glaring daggers at his friend. âNah, ya just donât have one, t-thatâs what it is.â
Mary spotted a piece of what appeared to be a small piece of burned cloth on the floor next to them, the source of the slight smoky haze surrounding them. Otto Schmidt, the hotelier, suddenly appeared right behind her as well, red-faced and breathing heavily. âRaus, raus!â He screamed so loud that Mary was sure the entire hotel, or rather the entire town of Bad Nauheim could hear it. And even though Red and Lamar didnât understand a word German they got the gist and quickly bolted, brushing past her without sparing her a look. Mary saw Elvis turn away, facing the wall and taking a deep breath in an attempt to steady himself.
âMr Presley, enough is enough.â Herr Schmidt spoke up again, his accent heavier than usual.
Elvis turned towards the hotelier, but instead his eyes landed on Mary, who watched him, pale as a ghost. âHoney, no, you stay outta this!â He pointed his finger in her direction before coming up to her and putting a hand on her shoulder, lightly pushing her away from the scene. âGet outta here. Let me handle this.â
Hurt flickered across her face at the way he spoke to her and she froze. Being the target of his anger even for a split second was too much for her. Shame filled her, heavy and suffocating like a child being scolded by a parent after a stupid mistake and she lowered her gaze.
Even in the heat of the moment he seemed to notice and his face changed, looking more pleading as if he was actually concerned for her well-being. Mary willed herself not to take it personally as she gave a curt nod and made her way downstairs again. âNow, Mister - Herr - Mister Schmidt Herr - sir. Now listen...â She heard Elvis mutter just before he was out of earshot.
âMary! What in godâs name is going on up there?â Elisabeth waited at the bottom of the stairs, a hand over her chest.
Mary took a shuddering breath and gestured upstairs helplessly. âHonestly, I donât know myself, someone just tried to commit arson, I guess.â She stated, not quite believing it herself.
âRex is talking to Red and Lamar right now, theyâre outside.â
âI really think this mightâve been it. Herr Schmidt is really upset.â
Elisabethâs mouth formed a thin line before she put an arm around Mary, pulling her towards the sofa nearby and sat down with her. When Rex came back inside he lowered himself onto the armrest next to them. âAt least theyâre smart enough not to come back inside for a few hours. Theyâre off, causing problems somewhere else.â He muttered as he gestured away.
It was a few hours later already and Mary hadnât seen Elvis all day. Vernon came to talk to her and Elisabeth, assuring them that they could stay and that she shouldnât worry, everything would be taken care of. He even apologized for the whole ordeal.
After saying goodnight to Elisabeth and Rex she went back upstairs. She wanted to go to him. Talk to him right now. But he hadnât sought her out all day and her own childish pride and insecurity now prevented her from knocking at his door. Instead she opted to hide and sulk alone in her room.
It was only after the sun had set, when the room felt dim and heavy and the deafening silence endlessly stretched around her that she began to eye her suitcase over in the corner of the room. No, she wasnât gonna go back to live with her family, and now she was angry and annoyed at herself for even considering it. But she also couldnât shake the feeling that she was just setting herself up to get terribly hurt by Elvis. Margit. Elisabeth. The throng of girls always waiting outside. Sheâd always be looking over her shoulder. Or worse, be alone, shut out of his world altogether, like she was right now.
She picked up a book but after sheâd read the same paragraph eight times without processing any of it she sighed and chucked it aside, pursing her lips. Maybe a good cry would help, but as much as she wanted no tears would come and provide relief.
She was gonna get up and talk to him, see if he was alright, not just for him but for herself. Thereâs no way she could fall asleep before that. Then, right as she sat up, there was a knock on her door. Before she had a chance to answer she heard a harsh creaking sound, with Elvis appearing in the doorway, his brows knitted and his lips pressed in a thin line. Seriously, how does he do that all the time?
He softly closed the door behind him and cleared his throat. Carefully, tentatively he made his way towards her, the mattress sinking under his weight as he lowered himself on her bed. Without a word his arms snaked around her middle, pulling her body flush against his.
âYou okay?â She whispered.
He just gave a non committal hum and tightly gripped her waist, effectively answering her question. She cooed and wrapped her arms tightly around him as well and began softly stroking his back. He practically melted into her touch, his face now smushed against her neck, his breath warm and moist on her skin.
âI know, Elvis, I know.â Mary murmured, running her fingernails over the soft fabric of his sweater.
They remained like this for a few minutes before he raised his head, propping his chin on her chest. âCherry, baby, I shouldnât have yelled like that earlier. Wasnât right.â
âItâs okay. Iâm not upset.â
âIt wasnât you.â He dragged a hand over his face and sighed heavily. âItâs just... those damned idiots. Never learned any manners or right behavior. If I donât lay down the law, theyâll never learn.â
Mary bit her lip, preventing herself from blurting out that he had started this whole thing. Instead, she nodded. âIdiots. Yes. You had every right to be mad.â
âAlmost lighting this whole place on fire. Assholes.â He mumbled with a shake of his head, a stern expression on his face.
Mary furrowed her brows. âWhat were they trying to do anyway? With the fire?â
A humorless laugh escaped him. âSmoke me out â I- I locked the door behind me and thatâs what these half-wits came up with. God damn it.â
He eyed the spot on her blouse where Lamar had gotten shaving cream all over her. With a click of his tongue and pitiful eyes he placed his hand over it. His thumb stroked the cool fabric sitting on her burning skin. Only he could ever get away with touching a girlâs chest so casually. âAnd your pretty little blouse.â He commented before returning his gaze to her face.
Mary shrugged - this was really the least of her problems right now. Or his. âItâs really not-â
He interrupted her. âGonâ make that sonofabitch Lamar walk to the post office for that.â A conspiratorial smile appeared on his face. âImagine him treadinâ through the snow with bags and bags of fan mail.â
Mary giggled, relieved some of the tension in him seemed to fade away â at least for a moment. âThat would be fun. He would slip on the ice like a cartoon character. Bang!â She clapped her hands together to emphasize her point.
Elvis let out a loud laugh. âWould serve him just right.â His eyes twinkled with mirth before they both settled into silence. His hand continued wandering absentmindedly over her shoulder, his thumb stroking her collarbone, comforting her. Maybe himself too.
Elvis swallowed hard next to her and â after tearing her gaze away from the veins on the back of his hand anyway â she looked up at his face again. She could see the gears turning in his head, a deep frown now back on his face. âHim and that other sonofabitch. Donât do nothing but make my life harder all day. Gettinâ drunk and fightinâ, making everyone in this whole hotel hate us.â He mumbled with another shake of his head.
âYou know how many times I had to fuckinâ smile and nod and apologize t-to keep the damn peace.â He gestured around, his voice agitated.
âI understand youâre frustrated with them. But you did good earlier. With Herrn Schmidt.â She tried to console him, genuinely admiring the maturity he could show when it mattered.
He waved away as if it was no big deal. âJusâ trying to keep a roof over our heads.â
âAnd you did. He looked ready to kick you out for good. Like, in that very moment.â She emphasized.
âHe was, is, canât blame the man.â
âWhat do you mean âisâ?â
Another heavy sigh and more lines forming on his forehead. Mary felt his hesitation to speak up as if not wanting to share his burden with her. She continued running her fingers over his back, hoping itâll encourage him to keep talking. It seemed to work.
âGonna have to look for a new place sweetheart-â He lowered his eyes, apparently not able to meet her gaze, looking almost ashamed. âSooner rather than later. I know you just got settled in here, I'm sorry honey. But he wonât listen to sense. Even after all the goddamn money I gave him, pardon the expression.â
Mary shook her head so hard, the bow in her hair almost came undone. "No, no, no don't worry about me. I'm fine. Seriously." Mary looked at him intently, trying to reassure him. She couldn't believe him sometimes. He was now worried about her being uncomfortable? Sometimes the last person he'd worry about was himself. She reached out to caress his warm cheek. "As long as I'm with you."
He leaned into her touch like a cat, looking up to her through his long, dark lashes. "You really always know what to say to me, don't ya, Cherrypie?"
She shrugged helplessly. "I just want you to be happy."
"Aw, little baby. You make me happy.." He drawled before pressing a quick kiss to her palm.
Pleasant warmth began to spread through her whole body at the sincerity in his voice. "I love you." She whispered, not quite trusting her own voice.
"Love you too. More than anything."
The way he looked at her in that moment made her believe it.
"You're so sweet."
"And she's calling me sweet again." He sighed, trying to sound annoyed at the mere thought, however the way he was still nuzzling her hand told her otherwise.
"You are!" Mary grinned and then put a warning finger on his chest. "But if you ever yell like that at me again I'm gonna kick you."
âWho me? I could never yell at my baby. Must be mistaken. You're mean sometimes, you know that? I should be the one trying to kick you.â He pouted.
âElvis stop, youâre crazy, you know that?â
âMe, honey, youâre the one whoâs crazy.â He whined, still pouting. "How's a man ever s'posed to know what's going on in that head of yours?"
Funny, she thought, when he always knew exactly what was going on in her mind. "Sorry, next time I'll bring a manual." She offered with a careful smile.
He blew out some air, his lips puckered, as if the mere thought of that already exhausted him. "Nah, don't even wanna see the size of that book. It's more liable to give me a headache, trying to read all that."
âThen I canât help you.â She murmured, squeezing him tight.
âSure you can. Stop thinking, and be real sweet to me, Cherrypie. Like the sweet girl I know you actually are.â
Before she could think of a retort, he was nuzzling his nose against her cheek and lifting her up to carry her back to his room once more. Mary wondered if she would ever end up sleeping in her own bed.
Content: A continuation of the smutty fun between Elvis and Betty, 18+
Catch up on Part One.
âBetty Boop! Iâve been lookinâ for ya honey!â Elvis grinned out the window as the car rolled toward the gate. âThat was such a nice gift ya gave me the other day, I wanted to repay ya,â he said with a wink.
âWhat gift?â Sarah nudged Betty as they stood there next to the gate. âYa gave Elvis a gift and didnât tell me âbout it?â
âOh, it was nothinâ,â Betty mumbled, her face flushing as she realized the âgiftâ must be what happened in the bathroom at the movie theater. It felt so surreal, she hadnât been able to mention it to anyone, even her closest confidant. She tried to ignore Elvisâ smirk as he watched her embarrassment.
âHey! Betty Boop here is gonna walk up to the house,â he called to the gate, motioning for her to come up the drive. âMeet me at the door honey, Iâll get your present.â
âYou better go!â Sarahâs face displayed a mix of excitement and envy. âAnd tell me everything later!â
Betty forced her legs to start moving and made her way up the long driveway. When she reached the front door, Elvis flung it open like heâd been watching from the window. âI think your gift is actually upstairs, honey. Why doncha come up with me?â He grabbed her hand before she could protest and led her up the staircase.
âIâve thought about being here so many times, it doesnât feel quite real,â Betty murmured as she followed Elvis into his bedroom. It somehow felt both bigger and more intimate than sheâd imagined. Her eyes swept across the room, taking in the details. There was his bed. His bed. Where he...she swallowed nervously, her eyes landing on him as he bent over the nightstand, her heart racing.
Elvis smirked as he looked up from the nightstand drawer that he was rifling through and caught her eyes lingering on his backside. âYa thought about beinâ in my bedroom so many times, Betty Boop?â
Betty flushed and averted her eyes from the way those blue pants hugged his body.
âWhat exactly did ya think about?â He set the small box heâd found on top of the nightstand and turned toward her.
âOh, Elvis,â Betty groaned a little bit. âDonât make me play this game again.â
âNo game, honey,â Elvis soothed as he grabbed her waist and squeezed it gently. âJust tell me what ya wanted ta happen. Maybe I can help ya out.â
âWe-ll,â Betty dragged the word out, stalling for time and courage. âI thought about seeing what you look like without any clothes on.â The startled look on Elvisâ face gave her a strange sense of delight. Heâd seemed so suave until that moment.
âAww honey, i-i-is that what you gals are all thinkinâ âbout when you watch me at the gate? Youâre fantasizinâ âbout me standinâ here naked as a jaybird?â Elvis tried to regain control of the conversation with his teasing, but the blush that crept into his cheeks let Betty know that he might be nervous too. It somehow emboldened her a little bit.
âWell, in my fantasy, youâre not just standinâ there naked.â She leaned in closer to him as her voice dropped to a whisper. âYouâre makinâ love to me.â
âB-Betty, honey, ya shouldnât say that. I-I-I w-wouldn't wanna take that from ya, that should be saved for your husband. I-I donâ wanna take advantage of ya, honey.â
Betty smiled up at him, his cute stutter melting her heart. She pressed her body against his, feeling that his heart was racing as fast as hers. âItâs not taking advantage if I want ya ta do it, Elvis.â
Elvis tried to stifle a groan as he felt her chest heaving against his. She was making this so hard. He was fine flirting with his fans and teasing them, but he really did hate to take advantage of these crushes. But Betty was a grown woman now. And heâd hate to let her down...
âBetty Boop, I-I want ya ta think about it a little longer okay? Thereâs no rush for these things. But I sâpose we could still have some fun in the meantime.â Elvis wrapped his arms around her as his lips met hers. He loved the way her body responded to his touch.
âWhat kind of fun?â Betty murmured into Elvisâ soft lips. In response, he dipped his tongue into her mouth, the kiss growing more passionate as his hands wandered up her back, finding the zipper of her dress. He pulled it down slowly, the straps falling off her shoulders, raising goose bumps all down the length of her arms.
âYâokay honey?â Elvis pulled back to look at her as he slid the dress down her body, watching it pool at her feet.
Betty nervously crossed her arms over her body, suddenly feeling so exposed. She had wanted to see Elvis naked, not be standing here in just her underwear. Especially when he was used to seeing actresses and models. But Elvisâ eyes held nothing but admiration as they looked her up and down. He grabbed her hands and pulled her arms away from her body so he could get a better view.
âBetty Boop, donât hide yourself now. Lemme see all of you, baby.â Elvis spun her around in a little circle and let out a low whistle. âAll that for me, huh baby?â
âCan I see some of you, Elvis?â Betty whispered anxiously.
Elvis smiled shyly, his crooked grin setting her at ease as he started to unbutton his shirt. He slipped out of it and tossed it on the bed. Betty reached out and touched his soft smooth skin. She traced the trail of hair down from his chest to his belly button. The hair continued down into the waistband of those blue pants, but before she could follow it all the way down, Elvis pulled her into a hug and unsnapped her bra before she could even realize what was happening. He looked down at her full breasts
heaving, her nipples hard from the cool air and the excitement.
âDamn Betty Boop, you are beautiful.â Elvis walked her back toward the bed and helped her onto it, laying on top of her and kissing her lips, her neck, her collarbone, and then her breasts. His tongue played with her nipples, first one and then the other, before he continued down her torso, his tongue tracing her sweet and salty skin.
âElvis, I, um, Iâm nervous,â Betty whispered as he kissed the outside of her panties, his fingers hooked in the sides, ready to expose the rest of her to him.
Elvis looked up at her through those beautiful eyelashes. âItâs okay baby, I ainât gonna hurt ya. If ya want me ta stop, jusâ let me know, okay?â Betty nodded as Elvis slipped her panties off and gently spread her legs open. He kissed her right where she felt herself throbbing, his tongue lapping at the arousal that had gathered there. He reached up and played with her breasts while his head was buried between her legs, pinching her nipples softly between his fingertips until she was moaning with each breath.
âShit, baby, ya got me so turned on,â Elvis groaned as he sat up and reached to unfasten his pants.
âWh-What are ya gonna do?â Betty whispered nervously, leaning up to look at him. She suddenly felt like sheâd talked way too big about the love-making. Maybe she wasnât ready for all that yet.
It was like Elvis could sense exactly what she was thinking. âD-donât worry honey, we ainât gonna go all the way, I jusâ wanna be close to ya.â Betty nodded and watched closely as he started to pull his pants down, the anticipation coursing through her. Elvis looked shy again as he noticed her watching. âJ-jusâ lean back and close your eyes baby,â he said, his hand blocking her view of what heâd pulled out of those tight pants. Betty wanted so badly to see all of him, but she could tell he was shy about his body. She supposed it would be uncomfortable to have everyone looking at it all the time. She did as she was told and closed her eyes. She could hear Elvis pulling his pants all the way off and climbing back on top of her.
Elvis looked down at where his head had emerged, begging for some attention. He wanted a kiss from her, but he felt nervous about showing her...everything. Would she tell the other fans what he looked like? Maybe this wasnât a good idea. Doubts started to swirl, but it was too late for that now. He grabbed his hard dick and pressed it very gently against her entrance, the wetness spreading over him. He pushed in gently, just the tip, watching the way she squeezed around him so tightly.
âOh, Elvis,â Betty moaned. She could feel him entering her, but she didnât want him to stop.
âGoddamn Betty, youâre makinâ me feel so good.â Elvis pushed in just a little farther, not all the way, just a couple inches. âOh shit, honey,â he moaned as he felt himself about to erupt. He pulled out of her and watched his release spill onto Bettyâs pubic hair, dripping down and mixing with her own arousal. âOh, shit,â he moaned again, collapsing against her and burying his face in her neck.
âElvis?â Betty whispered, her hand caressing his back, feeling the perspiration there. âDid we? Um, I mean I could feel you inside of me.â
âItâs okay baby, I didnât go all the way in. Are ya okay?â He raised his head up and looked at her with tenderness and concern.
âIt felt so good, Elvis. I think I want all of you in there.â Betty stared up at him, wishing she could tell him how much she loved him without sounding crazy.
Elvis smiled, his eyes crinkling. âThereâll be plenty of time for that honey, when youâre sure. Ya have ta be sure.â He slipped off of her and quickly pulled the bedsheet over the two of them.
âCan I, uh, see you Elvis?â Betty asked, turning on her side toward him.
âIâm right here, Betty Boop,â Elvis grinned, kissing her on the forehead.
âNo, um, I mean, yâknow, see all of you. I didnât really get a good look before, and I want to see what was making me feel so good.â Betty could feel her face flush as she waited for an answer.
âThereâll be plenty of time for that too, baby.â Elvis looked a little flushed himself. âItâs jusâ that Little Elvis is restinâ right now, and he gets mighty shy when heâs tired.â
Betty nodded and didnât press the issue. At least there would be a next time...
âI suppose I should get home. My parents will be wondering why Iâm out so late,â Betty murmured, turning to get up. Elvis wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back over next to him.
âPwease donât go Betty Boop,â he begged in a baby voice. âJusâ lay with me a little while.â
âOkay,â Betty whispered, letting him hold her tight against him. She could feel his warmth pressed against her back.
âI donât really like ta be alone, honey,â Elvis whispered in her ear. He sounded tired. She was feeling a bit spent herself...
Betty jerked awake and looked at the clock. Shoot. Sheâd been asleep for over an hour. Her parents would really be panicking now. She turned and looked to see if Elvis was still lying next to her. She smiled at the sight of him sleeping peacefully on his side, snoring very gently. Her eyes wandered down his body. His body. Now completely exposed. The sheet was bunched up next to him; he must have thrown it off in his sleep. She tried not to look, but everything was right there. This time her eyes could follow the trail of hair all the way down his chest, over his stomach, below his belly button, to the patch of pubic hair that rested above what sheâd fantasized about seeing so many times. His soft penis dangled there between his legs.
Betty had seen one up close when a date got too forward in the car and pulled himself out to show her. She had been so embarrassed and looked away quickly, but she had seen enough to know that it looked different from this one. This one was cuter, so soft and smooth and perfect looking.
Elvis made a little noise in his sleep and rolled onto his back, his penis flopping around with the movement. Betty wanted to lean down close and study it, touch it, maybe give it a kiss, but she didnât want to wake Elvis. She wasnât sure exactly why, but she knew he seemed nervous and shy and embarrassed about having her see his body. If only she could tell him how perfect he looked. She quietly reached across him and grabbed the sheet, spreading it over his beautiful body, letting him have the privacy that he wanted. She leaned down and kissed his lips so gently before slipping out of the bed to find her clothes. Sheâd have to think of an excuse for her lateness on the walk home. She noticed the little gift box still sitting on the nightstand and wondered if she should take it.
If I leave it, heâll have to invite me over again, right?

This is the second part of the story about Bobbi and Elvis in August of 1977. This starts a little earlier in the party and is from Elvisâ perspective. I was really getting emotional writing this, so Iâm hoping I was able to capture what I wanted to say. There is no direct reference to Elvisâ passing, but obviously it is referenced in the first part.
Hereâs part one: Bobbiâs Recollection
Content: Fluff, smut, 18+
Elvis stared down, watching as the remnants of his ice cream melted into a creamy soup at the bottom of the bowl. The sound of giggles from the couch behind him set his nerves on edge. Heâd need to have a talk with the guys about the kind of women they were trying to set him up with.
âItâs not workinâ out with Ginger,â heâd explained. âShe donât even wanna go on tour with me. I need someone new. Someone sweet and nice,â heâd clarified. And this is what they bring him. The girls were pretty, but not much else going on. Heâd already tried that route before. He glanced over his shoulder at some blonde laughing and leaning in close to Joe on the couch, her chest squeezed against his arm. Elvis flinched at the sight.
âJoe!â He barked out, unable to hide his annoyance. âCan ya see whoâs upstairs and get me another bowl of ice cream?â Joe rolled his eyes so only his female companion could see and headed upstairs.
Elvis sighed and drummed his fingers on the bar. His only hope now was the friend Larry was bringing with him to this little party. Where was Larry anyway? He should have been here an hour ago.
As if on cue, Larry came waltzing down the mirror-lined staircase, the figure of a woman obscured behind his tall frame. âSorry Iâm late, Elvis. Something came up at the house.â Before Elvis could reply, Larry grabbed his friend by her shoulders and sort of pushed her forward in introduction. âThis is Bobbi, the friend I was telling you about.â
Elvis surveyed the sight in front of him, trying not to linger too long on the low neckline of her green blouse. Bobbi fiddled with her hands, twisting a ring on her finger as she looked back at him, a shy smile on her face.
âHi, Elvis, itâs nice ta meet ya,â she almost whispered, her cheeks turning pink.
Elvis noticed that she was much curvier than his recent girlfriends, but all he could really focus on in this moment was her beautiful smile. âIâve been waitinâ for ya ta show up, honey,â he drawled with an effortless charm. Just as he grabbed her hand and pulled her onto a stool next to him, Joe reappeared with a bowl and spoon.
âHere ya go, boss. Your, uh, third bowl of ice cream.â
Elvisâ face flushed with embarrassment even as his eyes shot fire in Joeâs direction. Would Bobbi laugh at him, or turn and leave right away? He leaned against the bar, trying to hide his round stomach from her view.
Bobbi just put her hand on his arm and leaned in conspiratorially. âYâknow what they say, you can never have too much ice cream.â
Elvis smiled back as he looked down at her fingers resting on his sleeve. âThatâs right honey, now ya gonna share this with me?â
âIâm sure she will,â Joe muttered under his breath as he shuffled back toward the couch.
Elvis was too busy admiring Bobbi for the words to register in his mind. He scooped some ice cream onto the spoon and raised it toward her, something feeling very warm inside of him as he watched her lips part so he could feed her the sweet treat.
âWell, Iâll just leave you two kids alone,â Larry murmured with amusement as he backed away and sat down on the couch, watching Elvis and Bobbi stare into each otherâs eyes like lovestruck teenagers.
Elvis licked some ice cream off the spoon before getting another bite ready for Bobbi. He imagined that he could taste her sweet lips on the spoon.
âA pretty girl like you ainât got no boyfriend, honey?â Elvis asked as he licked the spoon again. He could feel Bobbiâs eyes on his tongue without even looking in her direction.
âNo, itâs, uh, hard ta meet the right guy,â Bobbi mumbled, adding, âAnd I ainât that pretty.â
Elvis cocked his head and gave her a funny look. âHoney, you canât really mean that. Iâve seen that beautiful smile.â
Bobbi blushed and murmured, âWell, hopefully someday soon I meet the right guy. I would really like to be in love with somebody and take care of him and everything. Iâm sure that sounds silly,â she added nervously.
Elvis grinned and reached out to feed her some more ice cream. âNot at all, baby. I think thatâs real sweet.â As they locked eyes, he accidentally tipped the spoon and some ice cream dribbled down onto Bobbiâs chest. Elvis could no longer stop himself from staring down at her tits, a little trail of melted cream seeping into her cleavage. âYour smile ainât the only beautiful thing âbout ya, honey.â
Bobbiâs face turned bright red as she giggled nervously. âElvis,â she whispered, glancing over his shoulder at the others sitting on the couch. They seemed absorbed in their own conversation.
âBaby, if we were alone right now, Iâd help ya clean that up. Iâve been feelinâ your eyes on my tongue all this time. Truth be told, Iâd love ta be takinâ care of someone right now too.â Elvis licked his lips as he watched her blush spread all the way down her neck.
âElvis, I, um, I, youâre makinâ me feel very warm. I should go clean this off in the bathroom. Can ya tell me where it is?â Bobbi tried to breathe evenly, her heart racing at his flirtatious words.
âIâll show ya, honey. I need ta get somethinâ from upstairs anyway.â He grabbed her hand and led her through a room with a pool table and to a little hallway with a bathroom. âIâll be right back. Donât go anywhere,â he said with a wink.
Elvis hurried up to his room and grabbed the necklace he wanted to give Bobbi. She just wanted to be in love and take care of someone â exactly what heâd been looking for. Now he knew what Larry had meant. âShe might not be exactly what youâre used to Elvis, but keep an open mind. I think youâll see sheâs perfect for what your spirit needs.â
Elvis descended the green carpeted steps just as Bobbi was coming out of the bathroom. The ice cream was gone, and there was just a faint wet spot where sheâd dabbed the front of her blouse.
âMaybe next time you can clean me up the way you wanted,â Bobbi teased, noticing Elvisâ eyes still on her chest. Now it was Elvisâ turn to blush. He wanted to kiss her so badly, but the flirtatious energy took a quick nosedive as a voice wafted out from the TV room.
âWhyâs he wasting his time flirting with that fatty? I came all the way here because you promised heâd give me a piece of jewelry, Joe!â
âWhereâd he go anyway? Letâs check upstairs. They might have crushed each other.â Giggles followed.
The sound of several sets of footsteps ascending the mirrored staircase couldnât stop the hateful words and laughter from ringing in Bobbiâs ears.
She stared down at the floor, her eyes filling with tears as she turned to leave. She found herself at the foot of a green carpeted staircase, carpet running all the way up the walls like moss.
âHoney, where ya goin? Donât listen to those fools.â He shouldâve stopped listening to them a long time ago, thatâs for sure. Elvis gently grabbed her arm, keeping her at the bottom of the stairs with him.
âElvis,â she whispered. âI like talkinâ to you, but itâs not nice to tease me like this.â
âWhat dâya mean, honey?â Elvis leaned back against the wall, his thumb tucked into the waistband of his pants. Was she not interested anymore?
âYâknow, actinâ like youâd be interested in me when thereâs all these other beautiful girls here.â
Elvis looked her up and down and smiled warmly. How could he convince her how beautiful she was? âBaby, I donât pretend for nobody, okay? If I wanted ta be talkinâ ta someone else, I would be doinâ jusâ that.â
âBut, but-â Bobbi stammered. A peal of phony laughter came wafting down from upstairs, making Elvisâ skin crawl. He rolled his eyes as he pulled Bobbi close to him.
âExactly, baby. Who needs some phony chicks willinâ ta do God-knows-what with my friends ta get a piece of jewelry out of me when I have your butt-butt right here?â He let his hands wander down and wrap around her soft body, squeezing her round butt. Heâd been wanting to touch her like this since she walked in. He could feel the way her body responded to his touch so quickly. Her hand trailed down his chest as she leaned close to whisper in his ear.
âI was nervous ta meet you, Elvis.â
âWhyâs that, honey? Iâm jusâ a harmless old man,â he joked. âNo need ta be afraid. I wouldnât do nothinâ to ya.â He really wanted to do everything, though. Everything that he could do to please her. He stuck his tongue in her ear and felt her shiver with desire against him.
Then she took him by complete surprise. âIâm afraid of what I want to do to you.â Her hand continued its journey south, running over his stomach and pausing right at his waistband.
Elvis could feel himself blushing and he hoped he wouldnât let her down. âWhat do ya wanna do honey? Here I thought you were jusâ a nice little girl.â
âNice little girls love to make their man feel good.â He felt his waistband being pulled out and her soft warm hand slipping down inside his pants. He shivered as her fingertips brushed lightly against his pelvis. When was the last time heâd been touched like this? When had he last let himself be so vulnerable? It felt so right with her.
âOh so Iâm yours, baby?â Elvis smiled down and gave her butt another gentle squeeze, hoping he could get himself ready in a hurry.
âYouâre mine right now. And I want to make you feel so good.â
Dammit. He wasnât ready yet. Now she knew. He tried not to panic as her hand wrapped around his soft dick. But she didnât seem bothered at all. She slipped her other hand in and massaged his balls, her touch so soft and loving.
âHoney Iâm not sure if I can do this right now, right here,â he murmured, his head tipped back, praying for a miracle to end this embarrassment.
âLet me just try for you?â she asked sweetly, continuing to rub him with both hands.
What could he do but nod and do what he was best at? He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers. As he slipped his tongue into her mouth, she let out the most sensual moan. There it is. He could still make her feel good. Little Elvis loved the thought of that. He loved it a lot. As he hardened in her hand, she slipped her other hand out and guided his touch from her butt to her chest.
âOh, God,â she whimpered as he squeezed her soft breast, rubbing his thumb over her nipple. That whimpering was more than he could handle.
âShit,â he mumbled, grasping at the wall behind him. âOh God woman,â he couldnât stop himself from moaning, sweat running down his face now. When he saw his sweat droplets drip onto her tits, he was done for. The release felt better than he ever remembered.
âLet me clean you off,â he heard Bobbi whisper, and before he could stop her, she was crouching in front of him and pulling his pants low enough to expose all of him.
His body felt like it was on another plane as she licked the cum off his sensitive tip. He trembled as her tongue lapped at his balls and then all around the base of him. All he could do was moan out âOh God, oh God, oh Godâ as she kissed every sensitive spot.
As he helped her to her feet, he realized for the first time that he was out here in the open moaning with pleasure. âDamn baby, we shoulda gone up to my room. I wasnât expectinâ all that right now.â
Bobbi blushed and buried her face in his chest. âIâm sorry, I didnât mean to embarrass you.â
Oh, shit. She was taking that the wrong way. âHoney, Iâm not embarrassed by ya. I-I-I embarrass myself.â Stupid stutter. Why did that have ta come out right now? âI-I didnât want anyone hearinâ me moan like a dog in heat. Or seeinâ me sweatinâ all over such a beautiful woman.â He turned and wiped his sweaty forehead on the carpeted wall, leaving a wet spot behind.
Bobbi giggled as she reached out to touch his sweat mark. âElvis! Youâre gonna ruin the wall.â
âIt ainât ruined baby. I jusâ always wanna remember exactly what happened in this spot. How ya touched my heart and...some other things.â He smiled as he pulled her in close again. God, she was so sweet and beautiful. âOh! I almost forgot. I wanted ta give ya somethinâ after our conversation earlier.â He reached in his pocket and pulled out a gold chain with a lightning bolt and the letters âTLC.â
âOh, Elvis, you donât have ta give me anything,â Bobbi protested, but she looked very flattered.
Elvis beamed with pride as he clasped the necklace around her and traced the chain down to where the pendant rested on her cleavage. Her skin felt soft and warm under his touch. âNow everyone will know ya belong ta me.â He smiled and kissed her lips. âAnd next time I see ya, when I get back from my tour, Iâm gonna prove it to ya in every way.â He winked. He couldnât wait to do everything with her. Making love of course, but also talking about their passions, taking care of each other, reading to her in bed. He imagined sitting at the piano and playing gospel songs while she sang along with him. He could feel in his heart this was the one.
As he recounted his feelings later to Larry, and thanked him for bringing Bobbi over, Larry smiled and hugged him.
âIâm glad you hit it off, Elvis. I really thought your spirits would be in alignment. How did you leave it with her?â
âI told her Iâd see her just as soon as I get back from this tour. And I told her not to forget about me.â Elvis smiled sheepishly. âShe said Iâm pretty unforgettable, but I donât know âbout all that.â
âI donât know Elvis,â Larry smiled. âI think sheâs right. And one day, I think youâll realize it too.â

I am still planning a second part for the green carpet story, but this is just a fun little diversion in the meantime!
Content: Smut, 18+, I was inspired by how sexy even his shadow is! This could take place any time, although I was envisioning the early 60s.
The Memphian Theater
âThe projector seems to be workinâ alright, whatâs the problem?â Elvis called up to the balcony.
âJusâ tryinâ ta fix the reel, sorry boss!â someone shouted back.
âGuess Iâll have ta jusâ put on my own show,â Elvis joked, starting to make shapes with his hands against the projector screen.
âHooooowl,â Elvis yelled out as he made a wolf. He was trying out a rabbit when a shapely silhouette showed up on the screen next to the shadow of his hands. He glanced over and saw Betty, one of the sweet teenage fans who hung around the gate and came to watch movies with him. She seemed unaware that the projector light was illuminating her body against the screen. She looked around nervously for somewhere to sit. As she turned sideways, the shadow on the screen became even more explicit.
âHubba hubba,â Elvis heard one of his friends joke behind him. He couldnât resist the opportunity for a laugh and shaped his hands into little cups that he lined up as if he were holding her breasts. Charlieâs unmistakable hyena-like laugh drew Bettyâs attention, and she turned to see what the uproar was about. Elvis quickly dropped his hands as she turned to see the screen, but that only made things worse. His lowered hands now looked like they were fondling her most private area.
Betty turned to look at him, her face flushed red. âElvis!â she yelped. Her voice sounded strained and breathy. As his friends continued to laugh, she quickly turned and darted up the aisle toward the lobby.
âDammit, canât yâall ever control yourselves?â Elvis snapped, ignoring his own role in the whole awkward fiasco. He walked up the aisle after her, feeling guilty but also eager at the thought of talking to her alone. He knew sheâd just graduated high school, and she suddenly looked so...grown up.
âBetty Boop!â Elvis called out his nickname for her as he entered the lobby. She was standing off to the side of the concession stand, where a couple people were in line for popcorn. âLemme talk to ya honey.â After glancing around discreetly to make sure no one was watching, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into the cramped little menâs bathroom, leaning back against the door so no one could interrupt.
âI-I-I'm sorry honey, I ainât mean ta embarrass ya. I was tryinâ ta be funny. It was jusâ a stupid joke.â Elvis grabbed her hand, stroking the back of it with this thumb. âYa mad at me, Betty Boop?â Ya gonna stop cominâ âround ta see me?â He realized as he said it how much that would disappoint him.
Betty stared intently at the movement of his thumb, the heat inside her continuing to surge. âI ainât mad, Elvis. Iâm, uh, I jusâ had ta leave cuz I thought everâone could see what I was thinkinâ âbout.â
âWhat were ya thinkinâ âbout, honey?â Elvis raised an eyebrow as he examined her flushed face.
âIt was nothinâ,â Betty mumbled as she tried to sneak past him and head out the door. âI should get back-â
âUn-uh, baby, ya ainât gettinâ outta this that easy.â Elvis smiled as he leaned his arm against the door, hovering over her as he trapped her in place. âTell old Elvis whatâs on your mind.â
Betty tried to ignore the infuriating, intoxicating smirk that tugged at the corner of his mouth, but she was no match for it, especially when his tongue made a quick appearance to moisten those soft full lips. A strange little noise escaped her mouth as she watched him. (A moan? An attempt at human language? She couldnât be sure).
âGo âhead, Betty Boop, ya almost got it out.â Elvis was fully laughing at her now.
Betty took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. âI was thinkinâ how I wonder what itâd feel like ta be touched there for real,â Betty whispered. ââSpecially by you.â
Elvis blushed a little bit but didnât miss a beat with his teasing. âTouched where, honey?â
âYou know where, Elvis.â Betty gave him a pleading look.
âNaw baby, ya gotta tell me.â
âElvis, please donât,â Betty begged.
âTouch ya right here?â Elvis asked, his finger dragging along her collar bone and down over the curve of her breast. He cupped her with his hand and squeezed a little, letting out a low whistle. âYa got a lot goinâ on, baby,â he murmured.
âNot just there.â Bettyâs chest heaved under his touch. âLower.â
âOh, ya wanna be touched right here, too?â Elvis moved his fingers down and tickled her ribcage.
Betty giggled and swatted at his hand. âNo Elvis, you know what I mean!â
âOh, right here?â Before Betty knew what was happening, Elvisâ big warm hand was pressed against her throbbing core, just the thin fabric of her panties and knit skirt between them.
âYes,â Betty whispered. She bit down on her bottom lip, trying to keep her body from trembling.
âHow bad do ya want it, honey?â Elvis looked at her face with some mix of lust, amusement, and concern.
âElvis, I want it so bad.â
Elvis slowly lowered his hand to the hem of her skirt and let his fingers creep back up underneath, brushing against her thighs on the way back to that pulsing heat. âWe ainât gotta do nothinâ ya donâ want, honey. Jusâ tell me if ya want me ta stop, okay?â He hesitated with his fingers at the waistband of her cotton panties.
âElvis, donât stop.â Bettyâs eyelashes fluttered in anticipation. She sucked in her breath as Elvis slipped his hand down inside her panties. His eyes stayed glued to her face, watching her every reaction to his touch. âOhhhh,â Betty moaned as his fingers traced down through her little mound of hair, searching for that most sensitive spot. âOhhhh, God!â Elvis used his fingers to spread her lips open, swiping through the arousal that was there just for him. He spread the wetness around, exploring every part of her.
âHow dâya feel, honey?â Elvis watched her face as he slowly penetrated her with a finger, as gently as he could. Her pretty mouth formed a perfect little âoâ shape, but no sound came out. âAre ya okay? Does it feel good?â
âSo. Good.â Betty gasped as he pumped his finger in and out a few times, gathering more wetness. He leaned down and pressed his lips against hers. âOh, Elvis,â she moaned into his mouth as he pulled his finger out of her and massaged her hardened little nub. âOh my God, oh my God, oh Elvis, I canât, I canât,â she moaned.
âOh baby, ya look so beautiful moaninâ my name like that,â Elvis murmured as he pulled his face back. He wanted to see the exact moment when she came, her pretty face lit up with pleasure. He could barely take it himself, his dick growing harder with each breathy little moan into his ear. He reached his other hand down into her panties, rubbing her button with one hand while he slid two fingers inside her little hole now. She was so tight and smooth inside, like silk around his fingers. She started to tremble around his hands, barely able to hold herself up against the door. He pushed his body tightly against hers. It was too much for a man to take.
âElvis, Elvis, Elvis!â His name rolled off her tongue like a song of praise. Something exploded inside her, blurring her vision and making her whole body go limp. âOh, Elvis,â she whimpered one last time.
Elvis looked down at her with a big grin as he gently removed his hands and helped her straighten her skirt. âDid that feel good, baby? Was it good as ya thought it would be?â
Betty smiled shyly as she stared up at him. âGood isnât the word. I think there are no words for that feeling.â Her heart melted at the way Elvis blushed with this praise. âCan I, um, touch you like that? Make ya feel good?â
Elvis pulled her into a hug before she could notice what had happened. âI donât know if youâre ready for all that, baby. Bâsides, we gotta save somethinâ for next time, right?â
âNext time?â Betty smiled.
âOf course, baby,â Elvis smiled. âI said ya canât escape from me that easy. Now go âhead back to your seat. I gotta use it,â he laughed a little nervously, nodding toward the urinal.
Betty slipped out of the bathroom, glanced around discreetly, and headed back to her seat, dreaming of when she would get to return the favor and touch him like that.
Elvis looked in the mirror and sighed, part satisfaction and part frustration. What was he gonna do about these pants now?
