THE ORIGINALS APPRECIATION EVENT // 6TH - 15TH AUGUST 2018 #OGAPPRECIATION18

With the series coming to a close, we at Originals Daily have teamed up with the other daily blogs in the fandom to bring to you a final Originals Appreciation Week 10 days once the series ends!

This project is an equal collaborative effort between ourselves, @mikaelsonsource, @hayleymarshalldaily, @klaussgifs, @freyamikaelsondaily & @dailyrebekah and announcements / reminders regarding the event will be posted on each of these blogs and each blog will be reblogging all related content regarding their subjects during the event!

To be inclusive we have done two whole sets of themes, for both gif/edit makers, and for writers, as we want to celebrate all the amazing talent within this fandom, and acknowledge that it’s not just gif makers who produce amazing content.

Themes for this are as follows

Monday 6th August: Day 1 - Favourite Character who made it out alive Tuesday 7th August: Day 2 - In Memoriam - favourite character who didn’t make it Wednesday 8th August: Day 3 - Scenery Appreciation and/or Cinematography Appreciation Thursday 9th August: Day 4 - Favourite Quotes and/or Favourite Cultural References Friday 10th August: Day 5 - Wardrobe and/or Hair Appreciation Saturday 11th August: Day 6 - Favourite Relationship/s Sunday 12th August: Day 7 - Favourite Season/s Monday 13th August: Day 8 -  Favourite Scene/s Tuesday 14th August: Day 9 -  Cast Appreciation (Fave member of the cast, fave cast moments, fave cast friendship etc) Wednesday 15th August: Day 10 - Free Choice (Self explanatory, do as you wish!)

Monday 6th August: Day 1 - “In the Interim” -  Writing set during any of the gaps between seasons Tuesday 7th August: Day 2 - “Love is in the air” - Writing about your favourite couple Wednesday 8th August: Day 3 - “Family Above All” -  Writing about your favourite familial ship Thursday 9th August: Day 4 - “Happy Holidays” - Writing set during the holiday period Friday 10th August: Day 5 -  “Roadtrip” - Writing about your two favourite characters on a roadtrip Saturday 11th August: Day 6 - “I am not there, I did not die” Writing about a deceased character escaping their death. Sunday 12th August: Day 7 - “Oh to be human” - Writing with an AH twist. Monday 13th August: Day 8 -  "Lets do the time warp!” - Writing set in the past (someone write Elijah meeting a dinosaur I beg you) Tuesday 14th August: Day 9 -  "Alternate Ending” - Writing depicting an alternate ending to the show.  Wednesday 15th August:Day 10 - Free Choice (Self explanatory, do as you wish!)

Notes:

Please Like/Reblog to get the word out, even if you don’t know if you can participate, we wish for as many people to get involved as possible!

Please tag all your creations for this week with #ogappreciation18 which we will be tracking in order to reblog your creations (’toedit’ and ‘original groupies’ are other tags we recommend too)

We ask that you only use footage from “The Originals” when creating gifsets, rather than TVD footage as we want this to be a wholly Originals appreciation event. 

Feel free to miss days out you don’t feel inspired for. If you only want to make 3/10 of the creations then please get involved anyway! We understand that 10 days can be quite overwhelming and if you want to pick and choose which days you do then absolutely go ahead!
