Imagine MC educating Jumin on all the types of kisses & their translations!
No need for Urban Dictionary when you have a willing MC handing out smooches & explaining their intended meaning, all the while Jumin is fascinated that kisses have a language of their own, just like flowers do.
“And this,” she whispered, her nose brushing against his, shifting side to side in a way that was almost ticklish, like champagne bubbles, “is an Eskimo kiss.”
Her lips were close enough for a real kiss.
“Its meaning?” He whispered into the space between them, just as quiet as she had. It was hard to resist tipping his chin up the short distance needed to seal his mouth to hers.
He felt himself warm at the simple explanation, felt warmer still when he mimicked the motion and she wrinkled her nose, smiling at him as he returned her sentiment of deep affection.
He pulled her close, shifting her higher up his lap where she straddled him until he was forced to tilt his face up to maintain contact in the new type of kiss.
She tipped he head to the side, resting against his jaw where she fluttered her eyelashes.
Butterfly kisses, he’d learned.
He had never fluttered his eyelashes before and he was thankful she hadn’t laughed at his earlier attempt against her cheek.
A giggle was hardly a laugh after all.
They continued on like this, trading kisses under the guise of an educational lesson, until they were unkempt, sporting twin bruises along their throats and lips swollen.
He felt thoroughly educated. He couldn’t remember a time he had enjoyed a lesson half as much.
It wasn’t until much later that he gave in to the urge…
“It says here, Eskimo kisses are for those living in cold climates. A way to kiss so their lips don’t freeze together. Very practical considering your geographical location.”
“I was being romantic. Besides, they do mean deep affection! Your Urban Dictionary doesn’t have the answer to everything.”
“Romantic?” He cast his phone aside and rolled towards her, bracketing her between his arms as he settled above her. “That’s one kiss I don’t need a lesson for.”
