Broccoli Knuckle Duster by David Delahunty
Selected recent media diet, as if I'm an influencer or something
TV
Pluribus and Neighbors were both interesting, but I don't think I'll rush to see a second season of either one.
Dorohedoro Season 2 was worth the 6-year wait. The 3DCG works really well and I love the one voice actor who keeps shrieking. It's an anime production that shows what the medium is capable of if you don't fuck around and waste the first 7 episodes.
One Punch Man Season 3 fucks around and wastes the first 7 episodes, as all anime shows do, and then it becomes "top ten anime fights" every episode from then on. I don't know if it redeems all the time-wasting, but it's eventually fun.
Primal Season 3 was really great, even if "a guy getting hit so hard he flies horizontally until he hits a rock" got a bit repetitive
Movies
I haven't watched a lot of shows this year but I've logged 51 movies on Letterboxd so far.
Blue Heron and Speed Racer both exceeded expectations, even after hearing they were great.
Quadrophenia does not hold up.
Color Theories by Julio Torres is pretty much a perfect comedy special. Glad to see Bibo collab with Julio again.
Comics
Yeah lol I read comics now. How did that happen?
Red Roots only has one issue out, with the second releasing next week, but it's off to a strong start.
Malevolent is entertaining, but somehow it feels like it's still too early to judge it, even though it's 4 issues into a 6-issue run?
White Sky also has me hooked. It has one of those art styles where the characters look slightly different in every panel, but it works.
Podcasts
My "appointment listening" shows continue to be Hollywood Handbook and Stop Podcasting Yourself. I'd count Beef and Dairy Network Podcast, Guys, and Sandy & Nora's The Daily News in that list as well.
Song Exploder has fallen out of my "appointment listening" list, but I still really like it. I think my backlog is just too big.
Panic World makes me think, "Wow, planet earth is so messed up. I'm glad I don't live there"
Music
I rarely get four uninterrupted minutes at work to listen to music anymore, but I've made time for THE SCYTHE

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT LOST IN TRANSLAFOON
I liked it at the time but there's no way it holds up today, right?!
recession indicator: i've been hearing the word "hegemony" a lot lately??
