Have you ever set up a great shot in Cyberpunk 2077 only for the auto-exposure bug to ruin EVERYTHING?

Ever had an NPC glitch so horribly it haunted your nightmares?

Yeah, us too. But what better way to cope with a problem that was entirely the fault of shareholders that the players must still endure or try to fix by modding than sharing those horrifying mesh glitches, accidental vehicular manslaughter stories, and accidentally hitting space (or the relevant controller button) in an awkward pose?

What are the Rubber Band and Chewing Gum Awards?

The Rubber Band and Chewing Gum Awards were created to honor the worst of our virtual photography.

We all started from somewhere and what better way to showcase that than to have everyone, those that have been taking VP for a while, quick studies, and newcomers alike, share our stupid coincidences, dumb bugs, and other failures in our quest for the perfect shot?

This is not a real awards show or contest. There will be no brackets, no real competition. This is strictly for fun.

How does this work?

Send an ask with your own worst screenshot. Each one will be posted with a Tumblr poll where YOU, the viewers at home, get to decide if it's worthy of winning a Very Real and Very Prestigious Rubber Band and Chewing Gum Award.

The winner will receive a Very Real and Very Prestigious 40-Karat Gold Statuette (3 inches) of Johnny Silverhand's "Impressive Cock"!

Submission Guidelines

MUST be your own screenshot. This is NOT the place to cyberbully. Anonymous submissions will not be posted to ensure this. If you only have a sideblog, feel free to tag this blog and we'll reblog with a poll.

If it's not obviously bad, you must explain why you think it's bad. Or feel free to otherwise try to justify your crimes.

No bigotry: We punch up, not down. Your screenshot should not be "bad" because it's making fun of an NPC or OC's characteristics (e.g. skin color, features, body parts, stated gender identity or sexuality, etc).

Bad on purpose is VERY welcome and encouraged! Put together the worst outfit you can think of. Use props in the worst way imaginable. Time a screenshot to get an NPC making a weird face mid-monologue.
