So, I’m going to be dull and predictable and say that it’s gotta be Janeway/Seven.  They really are my OTP of OTPs.  I’ve been having a resurgence of epic feels for those two recently.  

2.      What’s your least favorite method of travel?

I’m in awe of it as a technology and it makes my life a lot easier as I live abroad, BUT I can’t say I truly enjoy flying.  I still find it so nerve-wracking, plus all the faffing about in the airport is a drag. Also, I feel terrible about the carbon emissions.  I have donated to carbon offsetting charities before but in general, I wonder if it is just throwing money at the problem to make myself feel better… I hope it does something.  If I had more time, I really would go by train everywhere or, at least, drive.  I love driving.  I look forward to long drives.  

3.      What’s your favorite video game (includes any type of game, Facebook, mobile, console, PC, etc) you’ve ever played?

I love computer games but haven’t played anything seriously for over a decade. I moved out and didn’t have a good enough computer.  I am a big fan of car-racing games and was hooked on Colin McRae rally as a teenager.  Probably the most addictive thing I’ve ever experienced game-wise was Theme Hospital. Man, my 12-year old self could not get enough of that shit.  I also inexplicably loved the Tiger Woods golf game on PS3 even though I really fucking hate golf in real life.  

4.      What’s your favorite sea creature?

My first thought was platypuses!!  But then I realised they live in rivers (had to google it I’ll be honest).  My second thought was manatees!!  They are just so cool.  They seem so serene.  I also think Narwhals look totally awesome.  Whales are incredible, obviously.  

5.      What’s your greatest fear?

My greatest fear is hurting other people or seeing people I love suffer and not being able to do anything to help them.

6.      Tell me a time you felt beautiful. 

It’s not so much a specific instance, but I am happy to say that my overall self-confidence and body image has taken a positive turn lately.  I honestly think that being on tumblr has contributed to it.  Seeing body-positive posts going around made me take stock of some of the thoughts I was holding on to which were absolutely not helping me at all. As for a specific instance, the first that honestly comes to mind is when I went to see Star Trek: Beyond.  I put on my fave Trek t-shirt, put on a bit of make-up that went really well and it just felt great.  

7.      You have one week until the world ends. Tell me some things you’d do that you wouldn’t have done otherwise.

At first my mind was blank on this one:  too many opportunities!  Then I closed my eyes and really imagined it and my mind was like: RUN AROUND NAKED IN A FOREST!  So, that, I suppose! :D

8.      What’s your favorite type of food?

Well, I definitely prefer savoury to sweet any day of the week.  There’s nothing I don’t like really.  The first thing that pops into my mind is falafel and hummus – I go mad for it!  Also, maybe it sounds a bit strange but I absolutely love toast.  It is SUCH a comforting food for me.  Just simple toast and jam.  Yum.  

9.      Tell me something you regret.

It is a classic regret but I regret that I was so self-conscious and lacking in self-confidence when I was younger.   I took everything way too seriously and close to my heart and thus created a lot of inner barriers to the outside world and letting people in that I am working on deconstructing now.  The good news is I’m making progress.  I just wanna go back to my teenage self and give her a hug.  

10.   What’s you opinion of the supernatural?

Ooh, this is a difficult question.  My first reaction is to say that I don’t really think about it a great deal.  As for the things that I first associate with the supernatural such as ghosts, mediums, angels, etc, I would go as far as saying that I don’t believe these things exist.  As for god or gods, well… again, I certainly lean more towards not believing in their existence.  I enjoy reading and thinking about various religious and spiritual texts though for my own personal development and in order to understand others who actually possess a faith and belief.  

11.   If you had wings, what would they look like?

I like Snowy Owls’ wings.  They are elegant and beautiful.
