The world is running out of water. Water means life. Water has been on earth millions years before our appearance and it has been the responsible of the survivance of most of the living beings through history. Weather 70% of the planet is covered by water, only 2.5% of it is sweet and potable for many of the animals. And here is the problem, there is a really few amount of ‘life elixir’ remaining, and humans are taking charge on finishing it.

    Human is being responsible for the contamination and waste of sweet water all around the world. The constant evolution of society needs natural resources. From ancient Egypt, to modern urban society, both have in common the constant necessity of water.  From a river to cultivate food and feed animals, to a complex water system to sanitize a city. Humans keep wasting water without conscience. Even there are cities that now a days are running out of water, and their population will suffer for this vital necessity.

    There’s still hope. Governments should put their hands on the matter, because it not only an economic remuneration, it’s also about surviving. Improving hygiene habits, urban practices and water treaty are some options to start saving water. But there is something much important, education. Governments are responsible of most of the education around the world, and if they change children education and sight of the world conditions, maybe we can start to reverse this adverse situation to our world.
