hcathers¡:
A hoarse chuckle made a way through. âNo big deal, at least Iâm the one carrying an extra load this time around and youâre no longer struggling with boxes.â She felt a bit guilty for the all too stoic posture; it was something that had grown overtime, an instinct to adapt and defend herself just incase danger began to lurk, for her own and her familyâs safety. It had started out like a tight, sticky glue, now it was a part of her outer demeanor. Junior glanced up at her, frowning instead of returning her wave and further concealing himself behind the brunetteâs leg. It was kind of a no surprise, he had always been a bit reserved around strangers except for when they happened to possess interest in Pokemon and- âJunior, come on. Say hi. Sheâs a friend - and she plays guitar, just like Uncle Cy,â that seemed to pique his interest, a portion of his finally peeking out to stare at the other woman, uncertain of what to do still but less closed up. Heather bid a small smile, before turning back again. âIâm sorry, heâs just- a bit quiet.â The compliment garnered another chuckle, fingers rubbing the back of her neck. âThanks, itâs actually my natural color, thatâs why it might look a bit more fitting.â She nodded. âWere you about to go inside? Weâll be out of your way if youâd like us to, or we could join you for a bit if itâs cool.âÂ
âNo, no boxes this time. Same old Corolla though.â Eisley laughed, happy for a friendly face at least. âI assume this is your son?â She questioned, She was more protective than the average babysitter at least. Eisley nodded at her words and smiled at the boy. âHi Junior, Iâm Eisley.â She offered before looking back to his mother. âDonât worry about it, I was really shy as a child.â She half laughed, mostly just to herself. âStill, itâs a really nice shade.â Her weight shifted side to side slightly, dark eyes looked past them at the cafe for a moment, trying to get a feel for it. âYeah, I was going to try it out. Iâve never been here before, actually.â Moving around a lot was probably not going to be the best life for her, but at least she got to settle in before packing up again. âIâd love any suggestions on what to get.â She asked hopefully with raised brows.Â
