Hmm.. I don't think I can post any 🍋 arts here. Unless I post it somewhere else or hide it under "read more"
And since I am talking about things that make me needlessly upset, I will always be miffed about how we practically know nothing about the kind of other novels or stories Takeru may have written.
Like this might just be my bias towards him since he is one of my favs, but I can picture him being a true literary author. I can see him being able to write heartbreaking stories about family, love, the society and the injustice in the world.
I don’t know I just can’t ever make peace with the fact that he’s only ever writing about their adventures in the Digital World, and not original, contemporary fiction which is removed from his adventurous experiences but is built upon his understanding of the mundane world around him.
I truly believe he does wrote books other than his adventure in the Digital World. Takeru knows his way with words and have an understanding towards emotions. Having to live with his mother after the separation helps shapen him as a person, broaden his perspective over life and human/non-human relationships.
Along with the experience he went through in such a young age. The responsibility to bear the Crest of Hope. The weight on his shoulders being a part of the group fighting for the sake of their world and the other world, I simply find it hard to believe that he doesn't have other book projects in his drafts, exploring different genres and tapping in his writer soul to create a story of his own outside of his journey as a Chosen Child.
That was such an eye-opening analysis! I need to write it down!!

Taichi canonically tease Yamato with "Onii-chan" feels like it's gonna developed into becoming an affectionate nickname for him and—awaken a hidden kink between them when they're getting intimate 🫣
Most yamatai artists I know also seem to like NishiTai as a pairing. I remembered two of them have done fanarts of them before 😭 It may not be the main ship but their chemistry together and interactions are enough for yamatai fans to notice and sail it.
The only problem would be that, although it's a soft pairing; it was ridden with angst materials now after Nishijima's death 😢...Ugh, I want to make fluffy arts for them
Bilibili showing me NishiTai AMV/moment clips and now I am sad again. My heart hurts when I remember back that scene..
I love Tri but man.. I wish we could see the off-screen moment of Taichi grieving over Nishijima's sacrifice 💔 Did he cry when he was in the capsule? Did he knelt down and have his eyes tightly close as Nishijima's last words ring in his head? This is gonna haunt me
So here’s what I don’t get.
The tri. interviews have this general habit of bizarrely misinterpreting the Adventure characters and then claiming that this was “always” the case, but one thing that really confuses me is that even the two scriptwriters who were childhood fans of the series claimed that Takeru had been flirtatious with girls since 02.
Huh??????????
Was he?!
When you look at the way he approaches Miyako, he…actually keeps his distance from her. Despite all of her ridiculous antics throughout the series, he never really teases her nor gives her trouble about it to the extent others do, and he generally treats her neutrally and with respect.
Hikari? Well, he’s certainly close with her, but…that’s one girl, whom he has an existing prior relationship with, and it’s not like he’s flirting with her nor actively seeming like he’s trying to get into her good books. It’s a very natural relationship that just kind of happened to fall in that way, if anything, and he genuinely cares about her a lot, too.
It’s to the extent that his own voice actor from 02, Yamamoto Taisuke, said that he felt that his single mom must have raised him to be nice and respectful to girls. Obviously he wasn’t the writer for Takeru or anything, but it does say a lot that the person assigned to read his lines got this impression, and personally I would agree that he seems to come off this way; he keeps a friendly but safe distance with girls in general.
Now, there are definitely times he gets tease-y and puts on a playful (^v^) face. But, uh…
They’re all with guys.
ngl didnt see it either in general, but if i absolutely had to guess where they got that from, i’d say here, where the girls are like
and he’s just not shy about the attention
(could argue that he was lookin at his teammates or anyone else, but these came immediately after each other so i could understand if someone thought they were related)
and ya lol thats all i got
Did they actually call Takeru a flirt or is it the fan translation/interpretation that gave off that vibe? From what I’ve seen in the Memorial Book and other translated staff comments (especially from Director Keitarou Motonaga), that wasn't the case at all. He noted that Takeru is “good with girls” and has a better awareness/understanding of a woman’s heart than some of the others which is why-- he (who was 8 years old at that time) could help calm Sora when Taichi and Yamato couldn’t. But the director immediately clarified: “Although it’s not like he’s a playboy or anything. He’s just more aware of things...”
He also emphasized Takeru as one of the most pure-hearted characters (source)
That lines up perfectly with what we see in the series. In Adventure (when he was a little kid), Takeru was already shown as kind, empathetic, and good at soothing others — including girls. In Zero Two, the Christmas arc moment with Catherine (where he and Taichi kiss her on the cheek as a friendly/French-style greeting) is playful and cultural, not him being a flirt. In school, he's quite popular with the girls. But does he come off as a "ladykiller/playboy"when he interacts with them? No.

Re-watching Psi really helps seeing new perspectives of the reboot characters. One of them would be Sora's need to be there for Taichi.
In the official profile, they stated them as childhood friends that go way back before the Digimon crisis happened. The writers didn't need to emphasis the bond between them being the oldest and the closest in the show but they did it in a way it shows throughout the series. There is familiarity there, undeniably so with the amount of screen time they have with each other. In the first adventure, Sora was there with Taichi. Was also there when they embarked together to the mountain and learned of the war that happened in the Digital World.
Given That Tai was still protective over Kari in 02/Tri/Last evolution, even though he trusts her and has learned to give her space. Then how do you think he would react to his sister having a boyfriend
I read some headcanons and stories where Kari gets a boyfriend and Tai gets overprotective over her, but I think otherwise.
After rewatching the series and watching Tri, I believe that Tai's reaction would be initally be acceptance and would be easygoing to Kari's boyfriend (and if Tai personally knows Kari's boyfriend aka T.K. *cough*, he would be more friendly to him). Tai respects his sister's decision (since they grew up together and Kari eventually gains her independence) and would be thrilled to see that she is growing up to be a more responsible and sensible woman. Tai would even give Kari opinions and advice to ensure that they have a good relationship. Tai might even be a third wheel on some untimely occassions and Kari (and boyfriend) would happily help him find a partner to ease the awkwardness.
Although Tai can become problematic if he dislikes Kari's boyfriend's personality and attitude (e.g. red flag vibes). Tai might even talk to Kari regarding this and tell their parents about it. Kari might react otherwise but eventually she might listen to her brother and rethink her decisions.
I opened up my notebooks back then where my Digimon Adventure tri/Mob Psycho 100 fever were at an all time high and wow...The amount of comics I did of them are a lot. They're more than 2-3 pages too 😭 Some of them were discontinued and there were ones that were completed. I posted a few of them before here in the past and damn. I forgot how motivated and inspired I was with the two shows...
When Takeru nudges Yamato and casually compliments Taichi to get a reaction out of him:
01 Yamato would have try convincing Takeru that Taichi is not [compliment], while he lists down other traits and features of him that Takeru will definitely teases the hell out of his brother later.
Psi Yamato will think of it first before admitting in the most fondest expression possible and agrees with Takeru. He then would say a few other compliments that sounds like he's been observing Taichi enough to see those things.
Digimon Adventure Psi, they could never ever make me hate you

Please watch at least the original dub of Pokemon to understand Gary Oak's (Shigeru) character better. Everytime I see posts of people still calling or interpreting him as a jerk and saying his character growth is non-existent or comes from nowhere, I die a little inside
