I like how Sonic’s model in Beta Unleashed looked both happier and cuter than the model used in the final game.

"i’m not a very good story teller so bear with me <: D He was surrounded by darkness. He couldn’t run anywhere. After a few minutes of nothing but pitch black, Scourge catches in the corner of his eye a familiar looking blue hedgehog. Instinctively, he advances towards him to give him his casual sucker punch greeting. But something felt off for this rebel as he drew nearer to Sonic… or was it Sonic? He came closer, and as he was about to give him the “greeting card”, the blue blur had vanished! Scourge was baffled, and the next thing he knew, it warped right behind him, and realized, You’re not Sonic. It gave Scourge a creepy wide smile, baring his off-colored teeth washed with dried off blood; it grabbed him by his jacket and held him up in the air, and told him, “You know I hear that people say that scars make you a tougher guy” and looks at his scars, “Aaaw I wonder what kinda story these two have. Now you don’t look so tough to me so maybe its whats on the inside that counts.Maybe you are special.” After its short speech, it raised its hand and swiped at Scourge’s scars, tearing them open and letting them bleed out until his inners showed. He couldn’t withstand the agony this monster was putting on him. Enjoying the pain Scourge was in, EXE mocked him, “Hmmm what I see doesn’t make you a cut above the rest! You’re just like the others! You’re worthless flesh and bones. You’re my toys! You’re in my world now and in this world. I’m the king..no…I’m your GOD!” Scourge was struggling to keep his breath steady with all of his blood pouring out, and EXE had come up to his face again, forcing him to look into those awful bloody eyes. EXE gently stroked his face, and taunted him, “You like smiling alot don’t ya?” EXE grabs his lower jaw “You think this is all just a game, big shot?” After that, it tore off Scourge’s jaw, and let him drop to the ground. Scourge couldn’t move, he coudn’t scream in all of the pain he was feeling. EXE crouched down to the helpless hedgehog, and whispered in his ear, “And I’ll take this with me too!” and tore out his eye, and left the green hedgehog for dead. As he lay on the ground, feeling his own blood drip down his face, he breathed the last breath with the darkness swallowing him.”
