Goodbye, Tera. Thanks for all of the memories.

I have to give credit to my first guild. I’d probably have abandoned the game once Eireal hit 60 if I hadn’t met them. We had fun times & it’s a shame that some silly drama, the specifics of which I can’t even remember anymore, broke us up. I’d joined other guilds after that, but I’ve never been able to find that same easy going camaraderie we had elsewhere.

Now that the time has come to reminisce, I find myself at a loss for words. I guess I should say is that on Eireal, I’d experienced some of the happiest and most frustrating moments of Tera. Nexus raids (which I’d led a few times), grinding enough Agnitor credits to upgrade from the Bay Gelding, farming MWA and MES with my guild in ET with my shitty gear, that fist disastrous MC run in that same shitty gear, finally grinding enough daily credits for the panther mount, getting a free gear upgrade after being carried through KN10 becaus the raid leader took pity on me, becoming the richest member of my guild, that all happened on Eireal.

One last mount post before I get to Eireal. Tawny Huntress, the founder mount. I wanted to sell, but I also wanted a better price than I could get from the broker at the time. At the same time a part of me wanted to keep it as it was an exclusive founder status item. Basically, it became a “sell in case of a rainy day” item, but the money kept piling up from other sources, so the rainy day never came. 

It was a pain in the ass to try to get pictures of this thing in flight.

Testing some appropriately goth mounts with Liomara. These things had been sitting in my bank. They were temporary rewards from events or codes or something I can’t remember.This one in particular is very 3edgy5me.

Better shots of Liomara’s outfit and veil. I’d bought this for her back when it was new and cool and prestigious, then it became possible to get them from buddy up rewards, lol. Still kept her in it even with the variety of new costumes that had come out because there simply wasn’t anything sufficiently goth in the cash shop. Nothing that was well designed, IMO. The Alice dress had potential, and I’d tried one on while taking pictures of her, but the dyeable part was flat and ugly looking, so I declined.

Liomara’s Regent armor. I was so proud of myself for being able to afford it back in the day. Made worthless by later content patches, but I held onto it for posterity. Had the disc too, but without the signature red glow, what’s the point? 

It reminds me of the Abyss fodder I had Liomara wear when she first hit 60 and I hadn’t prepared any gear for her.

The red flight attendant costume or whatever it was called. Basically, in the time after Wonderholme and before Fashion Coupons, where we had to remodel our gear using existing, qualified gear in order to look good again, Liomara was left bereft. I resorted to buying her a costume that would at least make her look good, even though it didn’t have the goth vibe I was going for. 

Liomara was my main-est of mains. My second character, but the one for which I reserved most of my attention. She was the first (and only) to get Regent gear, back when it was top tier. She was the first and only one of my characters who’d earned a Skilled distinction for Manaya’s Core. I loved my characters in different ways and for different reasons, but she was always my favorite. 

A full body shot of Quin’s armor skin and her old Steadfast axe that I remodeled. I think my resistance to having a female metal high elf was that I didn’t like their armor options, but this one was pretty nice. The axe skin, though, was a shame. I remodeled her steadfast axe back before fashion coupons existed. Unfortunately, the same red and silver skull skin didn’t get transferred over to fashion coupons and the model was eventually lost as Tera streamlined leveling gear. The axe was a souvenir of lost times.
