MISS EDWINA’S WEDDING DRESS — “I chose a French lace, so it was quite delicate. It was a floral design, but also in an Indian kind of shape. So, just kind of using the Regency period card, but also, I wanted it to have a very long train, as well. I wanted the drama because she ran back up the aisle. And so, naturally, on the width of lace, you know it’s very narrow on the loom. So, there was a lot of work into detail of how long the train could be because of all that was cut and pieced together to make the train a lot longer than the fabric allowed. MISS EDWINA + COLOR PINK — Pink symbolizes youth and playfulness. It’s the flush of first love and stands for nurturing femininity. We think of pink as the color of inexperience and associate it with weakness and inhibitions. Pink can also be associated with timidity or a tendency to be overly emotional.

One of my earlier embroidery animations, this was my second one. I made sure that the designs were very simple, since I wanted this to be fairly long. The tangled thread is just purposefully messed up French knots.
