1. his dad was hospitalized for a long time, hospitals reminds eiji of the visits they would do there to see him, most times he would be unconscious and the room would be cold, and it would be only his little sister and him, watching the pale face of their father resting in a bed for what seemed like forever, then eiji left for two years only to come back to the news his father died and that the last image he’s gonna have of him is his sick self

2. the injury????? he woke up in an hospital bed and was announced that his entire future that was assured by a scholarship was crushed and that there was no hope left for him and his career after realizing he couldn’t jump anymore. i mean come on give my boy a break

3. we know he fell into depression after his injury but like . i think we minimize it so much other than the fact practically no one talks about it, we need to come to the realization that his family life was bad and that his state was aggravated to the point of the only solution being getting him Out of the country?????? he probably had to see doctors often before ibe decided to take him to america considering how much eiji don’t open up about his own struggles and would rather let them consume him than let it bother others

4. don’t even get me started on how much he cared for ash and how much of an heart attack it gave him everytime someone told him he was at the hospital because he got hurt/was on the verge of death, eiji is a stressed and nervous bf and ash is not helping
