A new teaser trailer has been released for Suzuki Matsuo’s “Jinuyo Saraba: Kamuroba Mura e” (out April 4, 2015). Based on a manga by Mikio Igarashi which was originally serialized in Shogakukan’s Big Comic from 2007-2008, the movie stars Ryuhei Matsuda as a bank employee who suddenly develops a crippling phobia of money. Because of this, he moves to a poor village in the Tohoku region where he attempts to live a money-free life by bartering with the bizarre locals for everything he needs. Additional co-stars include Sadao Abe, Takako Matsu, Fumi Nikaido, and Hairi Katagiri.

A new trailer has been released for Kei Horie’s “Forget Me Not” (Wasurenai to Chikatta Boku ga Ita, out Mar 28, 2015) featuring the movie’s newly-announced theme song, 2LDK by CreepHyp. Based on a fantasy romance novel by Mizuho Hirayama, the film stars Nijiro Murakami as a high school senior named Takashi Hayama who falls in love with Azusa Oribe (Akari Hayami) as soon as he meets her. However, one day Azusa makes a strange confession, telling Takashi that people forget she exists within a few hours of being with her. Takashi doesn't believe her at first, but when he realizes that his memories of her really are slipping away, he begins documenting their time together by taking notes and recording video.

A new trailer has been released for Yukihiko Tsutsumi’s "The Mourner" (out Feb 14, 2015). Based on a Naoki Prize-winning novel by Arata Tendo, the movie stars Kengo Kora as a man named Shizuto who’s spent years roaming from place to place mourning for the recently deceased, even though he has no personal connection to them. Shizuto eventually catches the attention of a cynical magazine reporter named Makino (Kippei Shiina), a mother named Junko (Shinobu Otake) who was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and a woman named Yukiyo (Yuriko Ishida) who was recently released from prison for murdering her husband. After witnessing Shizuto mourning her late husband, Yukiyo begins following him on his journey.

A 30-second teaser trailer has been released for Yoshihiro Nakamura’s “Yokokuhan” (out June 6, 2015). Based on a manga by Tetsuya Tsutsui, the movie stars Toma Ikuta as a man named Gates who heads a mysterious group called “Shinbunshi”. Shinbunshi wear newspaper masks and post internet videos informing the public of crimes they plan to commit in the name of vigilante justice. Erika Toda co-stars as Erika Yoshino, an elite inspector from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s cyber crime division who’s attempting to track down the members of Shinbunshi, even as they begin to win over the support of the general public.

Trailer for "Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter" starring Rinko Kikuchi. Kikuchi stars as a lonely, jaded young woman from Tokyo who becomes convinced the money hidden at the end of the Coen Brothers' 1996 film "Fargo" is real and a hidden map she's discovered will lead her to it.

A new trailer has been released for Takahiro Miki’s “Kuchibiru ni Uta o” (out Feb 28, 2015). Based on a novel by Eiichi Nakata (a pen name of Otsuichi) which itself was inspired by Angela Aki’s song “Tegami ~Haikei Juugo no Kimi e~”, the movie stars Yui Aragaki as a genius pianist and part-time teacher named Yuri Kashiwagi. When her former colleague Haruko goes on maternity leave, Kashiwagi temporarily takes over her position as choral advisor at a middle school in Nagasaki Prefecture. When Kashiwagi arrives, her first assignment for her students is to write a letter to themselves 15 years in the future. The letters they write eventually reveal their secret worries and concerns about reaching adulthood.

Bitters End has released a new 90-second trailer for Takeshi Moriya’s “Samu Life” (out Feb 28, 2015). Based on an autobiographical novel by “SamuGaku” school founder Hidetaka Nagaoka, the movie stars Takahiro Miura as a former high school teacher who becomes disillusioned with the traditional education system. He works at a shot bar to earn enough money to fund his own non-profit school dedicated to self-motivated, goal-oriented learning as he teams up with a group of like-minded teachers played by Mayu Matsuoka, Masaki Kaji, Reiya Masaki, and Ryosuke Yamamoto.

Toho has released a new 99-second trailer for Ryuichi Hiroki’s “Strobe Edge” (out Mar 14, 2015) featuring scenes from the film compared to similar panels from Io Sakisaka’s original manga. The movie stars Kasumi Arimura as a first-year high school student named Ninako Kinoshita who has no experience in love. One day she meets a popular boy named Ren Ichinose (Sota Fukushi) on a train and from that point on she starts encountering him more regularly as she gradually develops feelings for him. However, Ren already has an older girlfriend. As the relationship of these two is explored, several other people in their lives must deal with their own feelings of unrequited love.

Toho has released a new 30-second teaser trailer for Yuichi Sato’s “Poison Berry in My Brain” (out May 9, 2015). Based on a manga by Setona Mizushiro, the movie stars Yoko Maki as 30-year-old Ichiko Sakurai who experiences a moment of panicked indecision when she bumps into a younger man named Ryochi Saotome (Yuki Furukawa) whom she recently met at a party. Ichiko’s inner turmoil is depicted by a cast of five drastically different characters in her mind who voice their opinions on all of her life decisions before attempting to reach a consensus. They consist of the chairman Yoshida (Hidetoshi Nishijima), an energetic young man named Ishibashi (Ryunosuke Kamiki), a pessimistic woman named Ikeda (Yo Yoshida), a young girl in gothic lolita clothing named Hatoko (Hiyori Sakurada), and an older man named Kishi (Kazuyuki Asano) who acts as the group’s record-keeper.

A new trailer has been released for Hiroshi Sato’s live-action adaptation of “Otoko no Isshou” (out Feb 14, 2015). Based on a manga by Keiko Nishi, the movie stars Nana Eikura as a young woman named Tsugumi Dozono who decides to move into her grandmother’s home after she passes away. However, she soon discovers a middle-aged man named Kaieda (Etsushi Toyokawa) also had a set of keys to the home and was staying in the guest house. Tsugumi is initially confused about what sort of connection this man had to her grandmother, but has no choice but to let him stay there until she’s officially granted ownership. Eventually, the awkward living arrangement leads to Tsugumi and Kaieda developing an unconventional relationship of their own.

The new theatrical poster for Shinji Higuchi's upcoming 2-part live-action adaptation of "Attack on Titan" (out August 9, 2015) reveals the immense scale of Titans in the film compared to protagonist Eren (Haruma Miura). Movie Titans will reach heights of 120 meters, making them twice as tall as the largest Titans in the manga/anime and 12 meters taller than the most recent version of Godzilla.

A new trailer has been released for Shunji Iwai’s "The Case of Hana & Alice" (out Feb 20, 2015). Serving as a prequel to Iwai’s 2004 coming-of-age film Hana and Alice, the animated feature tells the story of how the title characters first met in junior high school. Tetsuko Arisugawa, aka Alice (Yu Aoi), transfers schools and begins hearing rumors of a local murder mystery. Her subsequent investigation leads her to Hana Arai (Anne Suzuki), a supposed witness who has been absent from school recently. A new 30-second teaser trailer has been released for Nobuhiro Doi’s “Biri Gyaru” (out May 1, 2015). Based on a novel by teacher Nobutaka Tsubota, the film stars Kasumi Arimura as 2nd-year high school student Sayaka Kudou. Sayaka is a bleach-blonde “gyaru” who’s always cared more about fashion than her studies. Because of this, she’s at risk of failing her classes and her scholastic aptitude is comparable to that of a 4th grader. However, a frank discussion with a cram school lecturer who recognizes that she’s actually far more intelligent than she lets on motivates her to spend the next year working toward getting accepted into Keio University.

A new 30-second teaser trailer has been released for Yukihiko Tsutsumi’s "Initiation Love" (out May 23, 2015). The movie stars Shota Matsuda as a job-hunting college student named Yuuki Suzuki who becomes involved in a relationship with a dental hygienist named Mayuko Naruoka (Atsuko Maeda) while living in Shizuoka in the late 1980s. However, when he later moves to Tokyo for a new job and begins spending time with a woman named Miyako (Fumino Kimura), his relationship with Mayuko begins to fall apart. The original Kurumi Inui​ novel on which the film is based is famous for a sudden turn from romance to mystery in the final two lines which causes many readers to go back to the beginning and re-read it. This shift is depicted in the final 5 minutes of the film and represented by the rewind sequence of the teaser.

A 60-second teaser trailer has been released for Takahisa Zeze’s upcoming action sci-fi movie “Strayer’s Chronicle” (out June 2015). Based on a 3-act series of novels by Takayoshi Honda, the movie revolves around two groups of young people who were the subjects of secret experiments conducted during Japan’s bubble economy of the 1990s. One group were given superhuman physical abilities through a process of forced evolution and the other group was given the abilities of animals and insects by splicing their DNA. Masaki Okada stars as Subaru, the leader of the first group who’s forced to work for a politician named Kouichiro Watase (Tsuyoshi Ihara) who holds the key to the test subjects’ built-in kill switch. Shota Sometani co-stars as Manabu, leader of a rival group called “Ageha” which is determined to assassinate Watase.
