Jaakobah is a three part dark fantasy graphic novel that follows various characters journey for survival. With a world of danger seemingly to be consistently lurking in the shadows, the people must come together to overcome their threats. Whether it be diseases, nature, cryptids, and other people. Jaakobah is a spider web of connections and ancient mysteries that trail back to the beginning of time.
With the South of Tamaryn reforming and becoming more authoritarian over the land, it has resulted in much violence and resistance. People have been targeted, arrested, and even executed. Many people went into hiding, creating their own communities deep in the shroud of nature. Due to this, Navea began a revolution for justice and freedom of the people. Too distracted by politics and war, everyone failed to notice the looming threat brewing beneath their noses.
In part 1 of Jaakobah, New World follows Drew Harkin, a prisoner owing his time. The inmates notice prisoners going missing and being taken away mysterious tumbleweed wagons. Word gets around that doctors are running tests on the inmates and if they show symptoms of being a βwolf in sheepβs clothingβ, they are taken away. Corrin Leigh, another inmate, strikes up a sweetheart deal with the guards. If he finds one of them, he gets to have his sentence reduced.
