What is the weapon Hayato uses? 🧐
Scythe, I redesigned it recently to go back to his original scythe design because I couldn't help myself
Hayato's original scythe (like from way before Eidolon) had that shorter blade with two tips and I liked it because I designed it to look like a stylized fox head- I did try for a while to stick with the more accurate war scythe design but I am too attached to this less practical version and I associate it with Hayato way too much. I fear it's a permanent part of his character, I had to accept that it's here to stay
Okay esse eme eich here is Joanna, a.k.a. Bonbon (@shaibonbon 's OC) as an Eidolon background character
She came into existence because I decided my solution for creating both background characters and Administration Department workers would be to make them all easter eggs and references to some of my friends' OCs
My first victim was Bonbon, technically known as just Joanna Rennings in this AU, she's an Administration Department accountant and she hates her life and her job. You would too if you had to work with a mechanical calculator daily. BUT at least she can blackmail Hayato into bringing her fast food so she doesn't beat his ass for spending so much money on it 🔥 everyone has a price and hers is an Oreo McFlurry apparently
Honestly, did Eidolon create the Endbringers?
“First Meeting…again.”
Eidolon by @adagiorii
5 years have passed since they last saw each other, and they didn’t leave it on a good note. Now that they’re seeing each other again, while both at their jobs no less, and are forced to confront their past, it’s definitely a cause for panic!
Iris, who is only now realizing that the personality she’s built can crumble by one word from Himari— is now praying to anything that’ll listen that somehow (unlikely) Himari either forgot or forgave her. I mean, come on, it’s been five years…
well, she had to start that character arc someday!
Himari, who is now knowing that she’s probably stuck with the person she’s dreaded the most in life, is now clinging to foolish hope that maybe, somehow, Iris changed. But even she did, she’d rather die than talk to her.
And then there’s Amara, who..isn’t in on the know of their issues…don’t mind her.
But it should be fine…everything always works out in the end, right?
….right…?

The PCD is an organization whos job is to combat and suppress/detain heavily dangerous people and creatures.
And being able to work there is basically seen as an incredible gift and the agents/workers are heavily gratified for their work.
But I wonder how they got that much praise and support in the first place.
Because. Without some sort of propaganda or brainwashing. It is impossible for a system like the PCD to be praised and enjoyed by even a fraction of the populous. Let alone the majority.
Well yeah I've spoken a lot of times before about how there is propaganda lmao. Victory Day anyone?
Also, the main reason why the PCD is so beloved is because when it was founded the country was being terrorized by a grim-worshipping cult and there were animalistic, extremely violent grims running around the cities attacking and killing people and causing destruction in broad daylight. I've talked about this before. So there was a massacre occurring and the situation seemed hopeless because the regular police and military could do nothing against the grims, and it seemed like everyone was doomed to die or live forever in lockdown, and then a domineering and well-spoken guy from the army took the reign of things and started organizing people and using the underground tunnel system to get around the city and eventually they discovered ichorium weapons and other things and the PCD began and suddenly people were saved because there were these combatants who were succeeding in fighting off and seemingly killing off the grims and bringing back peace to the country. And they were actively saving and rescuing civillians.
Also I'm sorry but I'm a bit confused why you'd think the population wouldn't at least appreciate the people that protect them from the violent and bloodthirsty undead monsters with superpowers?- Like yes there's propaganda but the root of it is people are scared of grims, PCD agents fight and drive away the grims and actively save people, people like PCD agents. PCD agents do not act violent or intimidate civillians, they literally act like heroes. They play into that. (And they usually don't deal with people outside of the cult, their main target is always grims.)
I feel like some of you may have the idea that the PCD is like an oppressive state police? They aren't. They just fight grims. Yes they have the authority to question people and order them to be arrested but that's only if they stand in the way of the PCD capturing a grim, which like. I don't think is that unreasonable but yeah
plot twist what if kronos never rose and that whole thing was just a super powerful eidolon
they have the same voice too; the descriptions of the hollow eidolon voice is similar to the scraping voice of kronos...not to mention the golden eyes
You misunderstood both questions, I wasn't asking the exact salary, you could have given me any number and I would have no idea if that is a lot in eidolon. It was more rhetorical, "how much money they make?", as in, do they make enough to easily buy a big house? Could Hayato afford to take Eiko to a luxurious restaurant every day? Buy expensive car ? Or they are more or less equal to the average worker outside of the PCD? The privileges part was tied to the previous question too, what I meant was something like work benefits, free food, a car, paid vacations etc. I already read about agents social privileges, what I had in mind with these questions was to see if they have material ones too. Sorry about this, looking back I should have been more clear with what I wanted to ask. You don't have to answer these questions if you find them uninteresting (or not important) part of the story.
So I will add a 3rd question. If I was asking about social privileges, the question was still directed to PCD workers in general. You only ever talk about how agents are viewed as heroes, but what about every other worker? If Theo told someone he was a scientist at PCD, would people be indifferent? Or Bee?
Ah I see, sorry about that. And sorry if I sounded a bit impatient when I answered your ask earlier, went back to reread it and I don't think I worded my answer very well. (I'm a bit woozy still from the thing with my mouth and I didn't get a lot of sleep last night so I am a little grumpy, I apologize if I came across as rude.)
I'm not very good with numbers so knowing that you meant "do they make a lot or not a lot of money" in a more general sense does make it easier for me to answer.
Standard PCD agents make a decent amount of money, not as much as commanders and captains but definitely enough to get by easily. As for luxurious dinners, I think unless you're like Eiko (young adult living all by herself with no family to support her if she needs a little extra help), you could afford to dine out every now and then just working full time as a PCD agent. (Maybe not every single day though lol. RIP Shinoyato daily dinner date, maybe in another timeline.) And yeah could afford a decent car too, probably. I think it depends a bit on the person's living situation. For example, Amara doesn't have to spend as much of her salary because she has her family to support her, but Eiko, who is an orphan and can only rely on herself, has to pay all her groceries, supplies, etc everything the PCD doesn't provide for her out of her own pocket.
The PCD does provide housing in the form of those apartment building bases I mentioned before, which is where Eiko lives, but that's about it. I haven't decided yet if she has to pay water and electricity bills but maybe? Not sure. But she does make enough money to support herself and live moderately comfortably. She maybe could buy some nice, less necessary things for herself too but she's very cautious with her money and would rather only buy what's absolutely necessary and save the rest.
I think medics and scientists also have a pretty good salary, nurses as well. The Support Department probably isn't paid as much but still enough to make a living. Admins also get by decently well, about the same as any other office job.
As for privileges/benefits, that's something I haven't really thought much about because it's honestly a bit difficult for me to gauge what's reasonable and what's insanely unrealistic. Is it unrealistic to say "yes, the PCD feeds its agents and houses them if they need it"? The housing bit is canon but that was inspired by military housing. I dunno. Considering housing is canon, and there are a few people who have come up with PCD cook OCs, maybe I could also make it canon that they give them breakfast and lunch and dinner in a cafeteria of sorts? I dunno if it'd be completely free though. Maybe it would.
(I only ever talk about them because I really like delving into this world's society and how it views PCD agents specifically lol.) But yes it still kinda applies to medics and scientists and nurses and other workers. I think medics and scientists are also very highly regarded. They probably don't intimidate people, and don't exactly have that celebrity factor but if Theo told someone he works as a medic and scientist at the PCD that person would probably be very impressed and would respect him a lot. Like woah this guy must be a genius and he's so brave and virtuous for working to save lives everyday. Actually I think medics and scientists are the closest to PCD agents in terms of reputation, they're very beloved and admired too.
Sewists a little less so but it's still considered a very respectable achievement to work at the PCD in any capacity, so being a PCD seamstress is absolutely something one could brag about and that someone would also be impressed to learn about Bee. Like woah you must be a really good seamstress to work there. Same for blacksmiths and admins. It's an honour regardless of what exactly you do at the PCD.
Again I'm sorry I misunderstood your questions earlier.
