It's got "me and the baddie I pulled being an autistic, touch averse, demisexual virgin." I love it. I'm so annoyed it's not part of the Game Changers series because I want it on screen so bad.

One of my favourite things about the Game Changers series as a whole is that each NHL main (who wasn't Ilya or Shane) are in their corner feeling like the only gay in the village while these two dumb teenagers somehow manage to never get caught hooking up for years and then have an epic love story in the background, also while not getting caught.

i know that time to shine is in a different universe than heated rivalry but i like to imagine that they’re in the same universe and it’s just a matter of east coast conference vs west coast conference. like yeah ilya and shane are facing real threats to their livelihood due to homophobia and meanwhile in calgary everyone’s like “oh that’s casey, he’s our resident bisexual who won’t shut up”

Um, did you guys know Rachel Reid wrote a book about an asexual hockey player? Because I didn’t, until today. I am like 1/3 of the way through Time to Shine and I’m fucking crying. Landon is my new favorite. I feel so seen.

Casey Hicks - Time to Shine
I need to speak on Casey Hicks because I love his character so goddamn much.
This man spent two decades of his life being called stupid and being teased endlessly for being incapable, and he believed it so deeply, he didn’t even try at anything other than hockey because he was certain he’d fail.
Then his team captain realised he and the team needed to be kinder to Casey after assuring him he was emotionally intelligent and sooo capable, and Landon was endlessly reassuring that Casey wasn’t in fact stupid.
Landon’s patience with Casey through cooking and cleaning the kitchen was what finally allowed Casey to wonder if he might be more capable than others had led him to believe. So then he starts trying more and he’s able to cook and keep his house clean, and he’s finally confident enough in himself to try these things even if it doesn’t go perfectly every time.
My little ADHD baby whose head is constantly ping-ponging around, whose attention span is minute, finally allows himself the space to not worry about all of that and to just ✨do it✨
Ughhhh he’s so special to me, and his conversations with Lee and Landon make my heart melt.
