I was talking about future Wilhelm and Simon getting married in one of the GCs, and now I can't stop thinking about it. I'm just gonna share my thoughts here as well, so you can all suffer with me. Also, feel free to add your own thoughts or version of our idiots proposing to each other, I want to know how you all picture ittt.
I feel like Wille would want to get married purely so he could say, "that's my husband," and Simon would only agree to get married because Wilhelm wants to, and he knows it'll make Wilhelm happy. I also think Wille would be the one to propose. He would plan for it to be all sweet and romantic with a whole candlelit dinner or plan to go to a lookout on the side of a mountain with candles, wine, and a blanket spread out. But he'd end up doing it when they're laying in bed one day because the moment is so perfect. He'd reach into his nightstand, and from the very back of the drawer, he would pull out the box and be all shy about it. And Simon would be so smitten and tease Wille, but ultimately say yes, but only after making Wille blush. And then they would make sweet, sweet love with Wilhelm leaning against the headboard and Simon's above, resting his hand on Wilhelm's chest so they can both admire the ring and look into each other's eyes with small smiles that say 'I love you, and I want to be with you forever.'
Sorry not really a proposal but more of the after thoughts on getting married. These are just my thoughts of Wilhelmâs thoughts and ...well...
Thereâs something about seeing the simple gold band across Simonâs finger that stirs up feelings in him, how it looks so simple and beautiful, and everything that it represents. Together, Wilhelm thinks, for the rest of their lives. Theyâve made it.
Heâs overwhelmed by the thought of their future together. Living together, sharing a home together, sharing a bed. And it seems like a small thing but it suddenly feels surreal that theyâre allowed to have this life together, because thatâs what marriage is. Itâs a stupid word, but with the way things had been leading up to nowâŚit was a word that had always hovered above them and carried so much weight on their relationship, much to his chagrin. But now, itâs different. Theyâre married. Everything that is Simonâs is his, and every bit of him undeniably, irrevocably and wholeheartedly belongs to Simon. He has always belonged to Simon. His Simon. His husband.
And a tiny image hovers at the edge of these scenes of their future: Simon and himself, lounging on the carpet across each other by the fire in their living room, Simon reading a story animatedly in Spanish, a little girl with curly golden tresses tucked against Wilhelmâs chest and two small boys, equally messy head of mousy brown curls lying on their tummy, faces propped up in their hands, eyes transfixed on Simon as he reads them a harrowing tale of a knight battling a dragon in his attempt to save the world. The little girl curls up further into Wilhelmâs chest, wrapping her arms around him and burrowing her face into his neck when the story starts to sound too scary...
Wilhelmâs heart aches for this future that has barely even started and wonders if Simon has considered children in their future, then momentarily panics thinking about how or when he would even bring that conversation up...but he knows he wants to. Because heâs never been more sure about anything.
I would imagine that both of them would propose at the same time lol.
Wille starts saying mushy stuff while they are cuddling in bed like: "You're it for me, Simon." He whispers as he plays with Simons curls, "You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
Simon laughs and blushes, pressing his face into Willes chest, "That almost sounds like a proposal, Wille" he says teasingly.
Willes eyes blow wide as he pushes himself of to the edge to open his bedside draw... And pulls out a red velvet box.
He places it between their bodies and hears Simon gasp.
Simons eyes go wide and suddenly moves away to do the same, only this time it's a navy blue box.
He place sit beside the other box and stares at Wille, seeing tears falling down his flushed cheeks.
They open the boxes together, placing the bands on each others fingers with huge smiles on their faces until they realise that they haven't even asked or answered the obvious question.
They start laughing until Simon grabs Willes hand and places a kiss against his fingers, his ring, "Wille, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up every morning beside you, wrap my arms around you when you're feeling happy or sad, I want to keep showing you how to cook my favourite recipes," he stops when he feels hands clasp his cheeks, feeling them wet from his tears, "You're the love of my life, and I just wanted to ask yo-" "YES!" Wille screams before he can finish, strong arms wrapping around him and tackling him into the bed. "I haven't even finished asking!" he says laughing. "I'm already wearing the ring though," he breathes into his ear, sending shivers down Simons spine.
He moves to clasp his hand, both their rings touching each other and twinkling in the morning sunlight that filters through their window, "So am I."
And they kiss.
