Just wondering why people don't like editblr so much and don't want to be associated with it . I'm new so I don't know what it means . Is there some sorta meaning or drama behind it ?
Hi!! This is actually a good question. Basically editblr has had a lot of drama these past few years so, they sort of don't want to associate themselves with the community itself. Although I find it odd when someone says they're not associated with it but all of their mutuals are from editblr.
There's a new drama every other week and it gets tiring. Aslong as you do your own thing and aren't trying to be cruel you'll be fine though.
There have been a lot of controversies surrounding the community, so that's why people don't want to be associated with it, for short.
Hii Fuu! I see a lot of people ask, "How do I make it so I can have multiple gifs?" Maybe you could a tutorial on that it might help!
It's a topic I often see being asked and Me aswell as my friend have posted tutorials for it, So I probably won't be making another one.
Any advice/criticism for my editing style?
Hi! Generally, the advice I try to give everyone is to use Unsharp Mask on ibispaint. Maybe add an outer glow to your edits to make the renders stand out more ? Also I noticed your edits seem to be mostly monochrome ( same colors mostly in one edit ) maybe try fucking around with more colors if you'd like, but this obviously is your choice && preference. I'd also like to recommend using more pngs. ( no need for a cluttered style, just generally more pngs, maybe themed around the character or general pngs ). But also, if there are editors that inspire you, try to replicate parts of their style that you really like and mash it up with your own preferences ! Sorry these are really basic, I don't want to change up your entire style because your edits are already really cute imho β‘
this may be too difficult or maybe its not what this blog is for but I still think I should give it a try and ask..
What to do when my edits have too much negitive space? for example
this is a recent edit i've made, but I didn't have much media to work with so i ended up with a huge empty space, I tried filling it with pngs and other stuff, but it still feels.. empty. yk? text might have done some good but I couldn't really add any for this edit
I LOVE ur blog btw, have a nice day!!
Hello !!! Thank you for the compliment ! As for advice. Generally the only advice I can really give is that it depends what style you're going for. You have to be mindful. There's the render and you have two parts BEFORE the render and one after the render ( bg + pngs + render + pngs etc after render ). Generally I would advise that the edit should be based around the render.
This is the general thing I thought of. But also what I was thinking is that the lace png there doesn't exactly fit. Things like flowers, and shapes could help but also it depends on the theme. I also added a curtain png so that there's less space to focus on? And also drew on that heart thing, so that it isn't really the background people would focus on. But basically in my thinking an edit should be based around the render.

How do I use PSDs ? ( asked by anon )
assuming you've already opened both your edit and PSD on photopea you click on the layer thingy that's on the second side of the screen on the second image of the PSD.
Afterwards, you can do two things, you can either move and drag the folder into the first image or you can click ' Layer ', ' Duplicate Into... ' && on the ' Destination ' option you choose your edit file!
What to do if my images are too grainy ?
This isn't a question I get asked regularly, however, I thought why not talk about this anyway. Sometimes, I want to use a psd on an image and I get this :
The problem is that on the skirt the coloring is sort of blotchy and the image is... grainy overall. So, how can you help this? I use photopea for this, of course.
Click ' Filter ' and Then ' Noise '. From then on, click ' Reduce Noise '.
The first is without any sort of adjustment and the second is with the strength set to 8. It DOES erase details, depends on the strength you use, but it looks much less grainy!
Optionally, you can do ' Filter ', ' Sharpen ' and then the ' Sharpen ' option for a sort of a clearer vibe, which I did, as I enjoy the look. My end results ended up being this ;;
Significantly less grainy. As I've mentioned before, the details disappeared but atleast there's no huge bits and blotches of colors and instead they sort of blend into eachother.
To clarify the blog is inspired by canarysage's photopea for dummies! My first couple of posts are probably going to be about frequently asked questions.
