okay, so i'm looking for credits for this psd cuz i'm intending on using it for an edit... i think the person who made this psd deleted the post because i can't find it for the life of me. i put my own psd layout in the file because i wanted to test it out and accidently saved it like that forever ago, and now i seriously can't find the original post. the psd is called "mii colorin" and the folder is called "psd ♥︎" if anybody could help me find it, i would be so grateful :,(
with and without the psd ^
i have horrible memory but i don't think this is mine because i don't use many adjustment layers in my psds

AAA hai uhm just wanted to say thatt i reallyyy love all of your graphics and stuff!! Alsoo i dont know if you know or not but your resources rentry links, specifically the /lavender-pix, /lavender-divs, /lavender-pngs and /lavender-misc lead to an empty rentryy
Anyways i hope you're doing good!!
who tf is claiming my urls of RESOURCES just to make them EMPTY, is there anyway i can claim them back and restore them ..??
if you're (the random person stealing my resource urls) doing this you are strange and there's better things to do in your day than take away resources for a very specific url you will not use

Hey, sorry to disturb, but do you have any tips on how to actually make metadata backgrounds? I'm trying to get started making them and can't get one to look right any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated ^^
hellooo! Do not fear the rie is never disturbed by polite anons below will be my very specific tutorial as to how I do it (following what I did for one of my fav rentrys) (this one)
1. Choose a character, and a color scheme that would fit said character.
In this one I chose Executor from arknights, and figured a desaturated tone of yellow would fit (considering he has blonde hair) and I also just like colors like that.
2. Gather resources, have an album just for it
Here are mine specifically. Something like this.
3. Decide on a layout
There's a rather significant pattern in my works which is.. character on the left/right and sweet PNGs on the corners. In this one it's:
This is basically the bare bones of your background. So yeah.
Inspiration and what you're going for is important in finding this, you have to find a specific style you really like and add a bit of your own charm to it. But it's also important to just freestyle, make concepts! Several of them!!! Have fun and take your time!
But this looks really empty! It's uglyyy!!! So that leads to stage 4:
4. Decorate with your PNG resources!
My stuff is very minimal and more dependant on the text and coding after the background is done. So 2-5 PNGs is quite enough for me. How? Look where it seems empty. I personally choose not to pick out PNGs that are too sharp or specific to a theme so my resources can be reused.
5. Overlays!
I have notebook little textures on me now. I look cool, don't I? Let me also decide on the text layout for this..
Fonts are important in this. I have conveniently posted the fonts I use specifically in my blog before, so you're free to just search those up (I'm almost at the image limit)
----
Important thing, values. I color using a gradient map which is highly dependant on the brightness and contrast of your background.
My things are fairly bright and I tend to avoid pitch black in my editing process, (I work with greyscales). The values here differentiate from eachother so therefore, the colors do too.
This was the gradient map I used, with added adjustments over the actual background I made so that it isn't too vibrant + the values still stay and nothing mixes in too hard.
As you can tell, I am awful at explaining. I do what my eyes think look good, and I spent a lot of time scrolling through other people's code and works to know what my own style is. Don't feel overwhelmed if things don't look right yet, things take time.
