Modern Witch

Any chance I can get away with illustrating a businesswoman, I would be on it in a heartbeat. So here I am depicting a modern witch as a savy and distinguished businesswoman.

Nothing sexier than a dishwasher, right? This sexy beast is my entry for the 100th Character Design Challenge in Spring of 2023.

Cat and a Plant

Right from the beginning I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the Krita Challenge “Cat and a Plant.” Back in the day I did a speed painting with a mouse resting underneath a potted plant. I basically wanted to recreate that painting with a cat instead.

This piece is definitely more defined than my original painting… and it’s a great painting for sure. But I must say the original has more charm than this piece.

This is me being non standard as always. Here I am doing a 2D painting in a 3D software. This painting was done in Blender. I will forever be a goof.

Get ready to rock! Robot Rockstar was my entry for the Krita Artists challenge of February 2023. It is one of the more liberal interpretations I have ever done of an art prompt.

Cold Fire

Robots are supposed to be my forte… but my ADD mind always takes me away from one of my favorite subjects. For the past three years, I have been meaning to play the March of Robots challenge… but I have not been able to. “Cold Fire” is one of the few occasions I dabbled in my favorite subject during a March of Robots challenge. It was refreshing that I was able to do this one quick sketch during this particularly busy month.

High Collar Sky High

Any Victorian age outfit is just fun to draw. When I got the prompt to do a drawing of a high collar, the Victorian era immediately came to mind. It is the perfect type of fashion to denote the DSP prompt. When I finished the spit paint, I was so happy with the result that I had to develop the image some more.

Atomhawk – Under Strange Suns

This was absolutely one of my favorite @atomhawk-blog contest entries ever. I absolutely am enamored at how I accomplished the prompt through the clever use of negative space.
