here are a couple of my favorite akiangel interactions in it:
this is pretty much the entire seventh chapter except for some scenes with denji and reze 😭
but yeah i love writing them so much theyre just so fascinating to do character studies of

I could practically see everything unfolding right before my eyes, and I was completely captivated... I love the way these two spend time alone together, awkwardly talking about all those very human insecurities.
A little confession — I actually relate to Angel a lot here, and I completely understand his confusion about gender distinctions as well. Why do people divide each other by gender in the first place and assume that it's impossible to be attracted to certain people simply because they're... people? It's a mystery to me...
Either way, Aki will obviously have to come to terms with the fact that traditional views just aren't for him)))

To be honest, I can understand Japan's conservative tendencies quite well, because I literally live in a country where so-called "LGBT propaganda" is prohibited by law. That's why I'm especially drawn to conflicts like this — they carry a very real emotional weight and make for such a fascinating subject to explore.
For Aki, the collapse of the safe, familiar heterosexual worldview may be far greater and more complicated than it seems at first glance. That's one of the reasons I put so much emphasis in my comic on his inner turmoil and his desperate reluctance to fully acknowledge certain feelings for another man.
Not only does he find himself developing feelings for a man, but that man is also a devil — the very kind of being he's hated with all his heart for most of his life... He simply wasn't prepared for his entire worldview to change so drastically. And that's exactly what makes it so compelling to me.
I think your work captures that struggle beautifully as well. I'd love to see where this gradual breakdown of his convictions leads him next.

Hi, Nat. I'm very glad to hear from you.
It's a rather cruel irony, but today of all days I received some tragic news — my grandfather passed away, and his funeral will be held this weekend.
I don't think I've fully processed what happened yet, and I'm still in a bit of shock. However, this isn't the first great loss I've experienced, so I have a fairly good idea of what lies ahead.
I hope I'll be able to return to my usual routine before long. My scheduled posts will continue to go up while I take care of everything that needs my attention, but I'm no longer sure I'll be able to publish the next part of the comic on Monday...
I suppose I announced it a little too soon. Still, I hope I'll be able to finish it and share it with you all in the near future.
