Simon's an amputee with PTSD after a really bad underwater welding incident, which has left him very unemployable and very angry

He's also currently on house arrest awaiting trial for the, uh, filament station (offshore oil rig in this au) 'incident', which he may or may not be somewhat responsible for the deaths of a few people.

His service dog, Ellie, (who looks like a mix between lida bida boda butt and a great dane) needs a dog walker!

Enter Grace, recently disgraced molecular biologist who needs some form of income while his police check goes through so he can apply for teaching jobs. It's taking a worryingly long time, which is entirely his fault. He did threaten people. To their faces.

He chooses dogwalking as his gig. He's never wanted to own a dog for himself, as he much prefers cats, but he needs the money and this seemed easy enough. He also doesn't have a car so doordashing is out of the question.

Ellie is a nightmare ankle biter with every human except Simon, but LOVES other dogs

Simon is very cagey with his personal life. He fears that nobody could ever see him as anything other than the butcher he sees himself as. He's almost thankful for the disfigurement, at least his outsides match his insides now.

Grace doesn't know anything about him, but through their brief interactions every day, can glean that he is very depressed.

This Tumblr post is the first time someone has explained to me *why* I couldn’t feed them before those instances.

every single time i have had to say, "i understand that if he had food or water, he could aspirate it into his lungs under anesthesia. i am not lying to you." THEN someone would make a little note and i would stop being repeatedly asked.

not a single time was that risk explained to me. the only reason it came up was because i already knew. i still don't understand why it isn't standard pre-op counseling or pre-op check information, when me as a parent acknowledging the actual risk also put THE MEDICAL STAFF at ease because i conveyed that i had informed understanding as reason to not lie about giving my kid food.

The reason why I don't consider Anastasia (1997) a Disney movie is simple. The Walt Disney company did NOT make this movie. It was made by legendary animators Don Bluth and Gary Goldman. It is a 2oth Century Fox animated movie that is an adaptation of the old Hollywood film from 1956.

I don't consider Anya a Disney princess because (again) Disney did not create this character. Anya is based on Anna from the 1956 film, which is adapted from a play, that was loosely based on the most famous imposter Anna Anderson, who pretended to be Anastasia.

20th Century Fox has a huge catalog of motion pictures that the Disney company bought. If all of these other characters aren't considered Disney princesses, Anya shouldn't either.

I haven't seen people online wanting all of these characters to be official Disney princesses like Anya. Anastasia is technically Disney only because of a technicality. They bought the studio that created the animated movie.
