it's not crazy to say that hendrick still loves her, despite his violent tendencies. i'd honestly believe irene was the really the last thing that kept him together

and i personally believe that with hendrick blaming scarfiotti for 'keeping' the information about his divorce from him, the cycle of distrust between himself, avellanos, and scarfiotti (mostly based on his own xenophobic perceptions) truly began after this incident, which only grew worse as time went on (namely during the period where hendrick had to be restrained after amelia's first escape)

I kind of actually think Coyle is capable of love in his own fucked up way. I’ve said in a previous post that when it come to the snitch or just anyone who he uses for gratification he doesn’t love them but loves said gratification, but the new lines kinda make me feel like i’ve been falling for the mask he’s been putting on idk

Obviously it’s hidden under a thousand layers of shame though. I think that’s why the final execution isn’t very climactic. Nobody shows up at all, and it’s because Coyle’s too ashamed to come in and help a man he’s actually interested in
