Homestuck is weird bc if you just read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia, it’s overly complicated and makes no sense. But if you read Homestuck from the beginning, it boils you like a frog. You don't even really notice how increasingly convoluted the plot is getting. Several Acts in and youre saying shit like “The doomed-timeline Dave that post-retcon Jade dated is a different version of the Dave that fused with an alien catgirl” like it's the most reasonable thing in the world

I'm not having "skip ahead" discourse in 2023. Youre reading the dave strider piss apple juice bit or youre not reading homestuck.

If you think the beginning is boring idk what to tell you. It will always be images with chatlogs just with higher stakes and more colours

I love how the message of Frankenstein isn’t “don’t play god and commit hubristic acts of mad science” but instead “when you commit a hubristic act of mad science you are responsible for parenting whatever comes out of it”
