Monster Hunter Clippy thoughts
When out in the field, he can most commonly be seen in armor that has fire and/or dragon resistance. He even constantly wears a fire resist talisman! With him having Gore Magapa traits, he experiences both the positives and the negatives, much to his chagrin, so he's naturally extra flamable and gets pissy around dragon element monsters.
Extra pissy around dragon elemental monsters, actually. Not just because of his weakness to it, but to Maeve's. Maeve is one of his partners, and she has this MASSIVE dragonblight scar on the majority of her left side. Usually, it doesn't bother her, but excess of dragon element exposure can cause the scar to flare up in searing, debilitating pain. He'd rather go through that than have Maeve suffer through that shit.
I don't think he got along with Fabius all that much, even before the Frenzy incident. During said crisis, Eclipse could feel the suspicion aimed his way and he haaaated it. Like, yes, he is a feral, batshit crazy excuse for a wyverian, but, like. Dude.
After everything was said and done, he'd take it upon himself to keep other Gore Magala at bay, or, at least, attract them to HIM first. They are awfully intelligent and territorial, so upon smelling his scent they'll either go after him or decide its not worth the effort. He hopes for the former.
"Is it weird for you to wear Gore Magala armor?" "No, next question." He isn't a pure monster, so while he does feel a connection to other Magala monsters, he has no qualms with wearing or using things with their parts.
Eclipse avoided transforming into a Gore Magala for the most part during the main story of Wilds. If he did, it was maybe partial for him to keep up with the seikrets, as I'm on the fence if he'd have one or not. Maybe caught some monster hands using his wing arms because my god are those beefy. Also used them to keep himself stable for massive hits.
He also doesn't have his own felyne partner.
Has eaten monsters raw before and will do it again.
He loves going toe to toe with physically heavy hitting monsters, they're thrilling to fight and satisfying to take down.
If asked where he's from, he'll just shrug and say Astera. He was found near there, so it counts enough since he can't remember the name of his original, destroyed village.
Eclipse felt incredibly awkward and out of place in Suja, as he does with other wyverian villages. He's a different breed with an incredibly different disposition as compared to most current day wyverians. The very scarce flashbacks of his people screaming and fleeing in terror don't help, either.
Okay thank u for reading my ramblings, back to work for meeeeee♡
