It's a brief, disoriented moment of panic as he regains his senses, memories from the raid trickleing back as he takes in his surroundings. Though he's hardly spared a moment more to process things before she appears.

He quickly learns that she brought him to her home, bandaged him up while brewing more potions to heal him, and that she… doesn't actually know what to do now.

Scared, confused, and angry, he bombards her with questions, trying to make sense of this new, extremely distressing situation he's found himself in. Alone, unarmed, in the home of this dangerous being who’s been harassing him for weeks on end. But the more she says, the less anything makes sense.

With nothing left to lose- he snaps.

He tackles her, and they tussle on the floor as the anger pours out of him. She can't just spare him forever- she has to be hiding something- why wont she fight back- All while she only shouts that she doesn't know! Doesn't know what she is- That's what she's trying to find out- just STOP and TALK for a second-

“I've told you I don’t want to kill you! You guys won't stop! You just wont fucking stop!!! I don’t want to keep fighting. I don’t. I saved you didn’t I? Spared you how many times? I try to only incapacitate you all when I can but you guys are so fucking violent that sometimes I have no choice!!!”

And she explains. She explains that no, she doesn't know what she is, or where she came from, or why she can't die. She explains that the villagers don't know either, not a single book in all the libraries have any leads. She explains that the illagers are the only people she's had no luck talking to. And that they seem different, more advanced in ways, different magic. What ELSE do they know? And she explains that not a single illager has ever heard a word she said. Until him.

And it gave her hope. She couldn't let it go.

It’s all so absurd, but she's fighting tears in a soggy, pathetic pile of herself right in front of him. A sight so absurd that he has no choice but to believe it.

The illagers are fucked and they have no idea. They thought she had secrets on immortality, and oh she sure does. They’re just secrets even to her, too. It’s not a choice that she avoids death, that she doesn’t want to die. It’s that she can’t. And she thinks they have the answers?? It’s laughable. How can they defeat that? They won’t get what they want. They CAN’T- she wants the same thing.

But he snaps back to attention at the sound of her voice once again. Requesting one single favor, and he’s free to leave.
