LET ME BE BRAVE !

jaw  is  clenched,   eyes  burn  with  the  tears  that  she  refuses  to  let  drop.     “  ‘s  not  me  and  you  know  it.   ”     words  are  dangerously  quiet  —  the  ones  you  should  fear  the  most,  doctor.  she  could  see  it  sometimes,  the  way  he  looked  at  her  —  the  way  he  seemed  to  look  through  her.     “  i  told  you  before  that  i  won’t  compete  with  a  ghost.  you  let  me  think  that  maybe  i  was  enough.   ”     but  she  would  never  be  enough  would  she?  not  for  the  man  with  all  of  time  at  his  fingertips.   eventually,  she  would  be  a  ghost  to  him  too  and  that  breaks  her  heart.     “   take  me  home,  doctor.   ”

and like, seriously i don’t know how to process that but i just wanted to say thank you. from the bottom of my heart, thank you for following this blog ( even though i disappear sometimes ). you all have allowed me to write a character that i love so deeply and have granted me the ability to expand her story and for that i could never thank each and every one of you enough.

i plan to do something for you guys in the future, school has me really swamped right now. but i didn’t want to let this moment go without saying something. without saying:

brown  doe  eyes  look  up  to  meet  the  doctor’s.   there’s  a  million  questions  running  circles  ‘round  her  head  and  the  doctor’s  put  a  hand  to  her  mouth  to  stop  the  most  important  one.     what  are  we  going  to  do?     breath  forcefully  leaves  her  nose  and  a  hand  comes  up  to  wrap  around  the  others  wrist.  she  pulls  just  so,  enough  to  move  the  hand  away  from  her  mouth  and  she  nods.  she  understands.   in  that  moment,  for  the  first  time,  they’re  out  of  options.  there’s  nothing  either  actively  can  do  as  clara  lives  between  one  heartbeat  and  her  last.  after  an  unnerving  silence  between  the  pair,  clara  says  the  words  that  she  has  been  holding  back.      “   i’ll  stay.   ”
